Great teacher. Teaching in steps and then adding more to it and repeating is the best way to go and Rufus is doing just that with me. All ready in 3rd lesson as a beginner and im getting the hand of it pretty quick. I will learn this song in no time and perhaps a few more just for the fun of it.

In the nutshell, besides the best price and a perfect, clean record (in FL that's big! lol), Kopi has toured Japan and Colombia with over 21 years guitar/drum/Spanish-speaking experience, teaching American and Japanese children in American and Japanese public schools; holding a Bachelors Degree, Kopi is multi-lingual and he even drives to you for lessons if needed. Uber flexible schedule, able to shift time slots for parents and students alike. It's a tough economy, so let's get your children (and/or YOU?!) playing at a rate you can exhale about, and with a t
eacher who is a scholar well beyond just music, a world traveler, and an uncle himself (no kids of his own yet! ;-) Parent references available upon request.

Matthew is a laid back instructor who really knows what he is teaching. I am learning Jazz on the bass and I enjoy it very much. In just a short time i learned more with him than I did with my previous instructor . Would recommend him to anyone wanting to learn jazz.

Best instructor I had so far.
Matt definitely knows his stuff. I had 4 classes with him and I'm shocked at the things I've learn with him. Great schedule flexibility and makes you feel comfortable from the time you meet him. Has a great and spacious place to teach compared to other I had. Hes willing to help anytime with questions. I decided to keep him as instructor for now on. Thanks!

I think he was to scared to teach my daughter. I also think he needs a better place to teach, and he needs to make the classes more fun for kids. Our first lesson wasn't a good experience.
Are you ready to start performing? Or perhaps you'd just like to play your instrument for your own enjoyment? Either way you have come to the right place. Studying with me will be both fun and challenging. I will have you making music immediately and also provide easy steps towards mastering your skills at any level. I specialize in ear training and music theory so you will be reading music and making music from what you hear. I have been teaching and performing for many years. The easiest way to put it is: "Do what I say, and you will have results." You will have an all around musical educat
ion that will be fun to share. Get ready to make some music!
*** Lesson Details *** My lessons are geared specifically to the student based on age, musical preference, and seriousness of performance level desired. I emphasize the theory based on the circle of fifths and the relationship of intervals and modes. I want my student to understand how music is made and why it sounds the way it does. My students will recognize sounds and modes and chords between different songs even if they are hearing them for the first time.
*** Studio Equipment *** The in-studio lessons are taught in the largest room in the house. The room includes a guitar, bass, 88 key weighted keyboard, and drum kits. Seating is available. No pets.
*** Travel Equipment *** Casio Privia Electric piano. 88 weighted keys. Fender Stratocaster electric guitar. Yamaha Bass. Tama Drums.
Able to teach hand percussion(Congas, Bongos, Djembe, etc.) to full drum kit. Also can teach drum notation. All genres. Full drum kit supplied when lessons are performed in teacher's studio.
Nicole began her musical journey in Long Island, New York when she began piano lessons at age five. While receiving training on piano, she joined her elementary school orchestra in the 3rd grade and quickly soared with violin. During this period, Nicole began learning music theory and the art of reading music. As a fourth grader, Nicole would go on to conduct and tune every instrument in her orchestra during rehearsal. She always competed and won many NYSMA competitions for violin while attending music seminars and workshops. It was then that her teacher realized she had a gift. Nicole c
ontinued with piano lessons and began teaching herself guitar. Later, after college, she bought herself a drum set and began to teach herself drums. As an adult, Nicole studied to become an elementary teacher and worked in the New York State School Districts for over five years. Shortly after receiving her masters degree for Literacy Education, Nicole decided to attempt to share her passion for music. In 2007, Nicole opened a music studio in Holbrook, New York. Here, she refined her music teaching skills while establishing Nicolex Inc. Music Island as a leading source of quality music education. Her summer traveling music program allowed her students to experience live performances as well as create music groups with peers with the same passion for music. Nicole now resides in Clearwater, Florida with hopes to spread her business as well as the joy of music to children and adults. She currently is the drummer for a local original rock band. In this band, Nicole writes songs, sings, plays piano, and drums (not all at the same time). Needless to say, she understands the importance that music has had in her life and wishes to ignite that passion in other music lovers.
*** Lesson Details *** My teaching style is best labeled as kind but firm. I take my job very seriously and want wholeheartedly for my students to have music as a part of their life, not just a part of their day. I love to laugh and have fun but I will definitely expect my students to practice and complete any homework I assign and be prepared for the following lesson. Simply stated, music is fun and the love of my life, but if I still practice, you will as well. Otherwise, I always believe in teaching songs my students are interested in and will expand their musical skills. My experience as a public school teacher had enhanced my sense of finding individual needs of every student. Therefore, I always differentiate lessons to suit my students interest while teaching them the foundations every musician needs in order to be successful. My specialty is teaching a variety of instruments. I play drums, guitar, bass, piano, and sing as well. So, if one instrument is not for you, I can teach you something different without a problem. Long story short, friends, you are in good hands.
*** Studio Equipment *** Full Service music room: Keyboard, drum kit, Acoustic/Electric Guitar, Electric Guitar with 30 watts Amp and Microphone/ vocal monitor.
*** Travel Equipment *** I can bring a 61 key Casio Keyboard for household to use for lessons for a small monthly rental fee. I have an acoustic/electric Spectrum Guitar with 30w amplifier. Can also bring microphone and monitor for vocal lessons.
*** Specialties *** I have taught mostly Rock, Blues, and Classical genres for Piano, Guitar, Drums. Vocally, I specialize in R&B, Broadway, Pop, Top 100 and alternative/Hard Rock. I will adapt to your needs.

He is an excellent teacher! Just because you play drums doesn't mean you can teach drums. My son has shown so much growth working with Glenn. He is truly a great teacher and I would highly recommend him to anyone.

Great Drum Instructor!! He has a true passion for teaching and identifies quickly with his students.
My son has been taking lessons from him since the age of 13 and he learned more in his first year than most kids learn through many years of instruction.

"Patient, reliable, talented drummer & teacher
Mike has been our 13 year old daughters drum teacher for over a year. She went through a couple of teachers
before we found mike who was able to connect with her. We thought drumming would be a great way to bolster her self esteem and work on her shyness. Mike has been an extremely patient teacher and found a away to work with her where others failed. Overall, mike is an extremely talented drummer & patient teacher who is both honest and punctual. I wish I could give more than five stars."

"I've been studying with Paul for a few years, and I would not be close to my current skill level without his instruction and guidance. Paul is a patient a
nd brilliant observer and expert analyst in developing technique. Every time I think I've got it, he makes some acute observation that brings it to a deeper level of refinement and nuance. And I've learned from him how crucial this refinement is to sounding good in everything you play on the kit. Beyond building the foundation of technique, with Paul you will learn various grooves in different genres, reading notation and drum charts, soloing and comping, as well as prioritizing and organizing your approach and having the right attitude so people will want to play with you. Lessons are always fun and inspiring, and Paul is patient and sensitive to individual needs. He also brings to lessons his experience as a professional drummer. I've seen him perform professionally in various styles: small jazz ensemble, big band, latin, rock, funk etc. And he always sounds great: solid and musical with a great feel. His combination of skill, experience, knowledge, profound insight and sensitivity make him an invaluable teacher for those interested in developing as an artist."

Brian and I shared the drum section together for several years in a local Northeast touring band. His technique and pursuit of the perfect beat we
re second to none. He's got a keen ear to tempo and brings unique flavors or different genres of music to the table which helped push the band in new directions.
I'd recommend Brian as a teacher based on his love and dedication to music coming from his college major to his hobbies, music and playing drums are a large part of B-rocks life.
Rock on brah."
