"With Joey's help, I was able to lose weight in a natural way without beating myself up. I lost my cravings and Joey made me realize that working out hard
actually makes you hold onto weight. I'm so glad I don't have to beat myself up in the gym just to come home craving food. My mood has improved and it's just been a blessing to learn from Joey."

"It has been a pleasure to work with Shea. She is a great teacher and has helped me find more peace through meditations. Although, I had never done medit
ations before and was somewhat skeptical to start, Shea did a good job of not only showing me various techniques, but also explaining the concept behind it. She does a great job of catering sessions based on your needs and listens to what you say in order to incorporate it with new fun exercises. I highly recommend her and look forward to continuing to work with her."

"I wanted someone to help me with alignment and to give me some poses for areas I was trying to open up. Amanda came prepped with a routine and gave me som
e great alignment tips that I am still using. She also sent me an email with the routine and instructions the next morning. She was very thoughtful and did a great job."
Hannah seeks to share her passions for yoga, travel, art, nature, adventure, and creativity with you!
Hannah creates balanced, fun, intellectual, refreshing yoga sequences that take you on far away imaginary journeys while also teaching deeper yoga philosophy and wellness concepts. These classes are available live in San Diego or on video (many filmed on location) to take you on an inspiring journey abroad!
With 4 years of experience as a flight attendant, and many more adventures preceding, Hannah's curiosity and adventurous spirit have explored ancient ruins, pilgrimage treks, world f
amous art museums, countless natural beauty vistas and monuments, while encountering and soaking in elements from worldwide cultures. She has chosen San Diego as her home because of the abundant sunshine, aesthetic design, friendly people, nourishing nature, and yogic culture.
She also had the opportunity to teach 4 years of drawing, painting, sculpture and mixed media to students from grades 5-12 at the San Diego School of Creative and Performing Arts, Torrey Pines High School, and Endeavour Academy. Her lessons focused on individual creativity and learning about historical and cultural art techniques from around the world. Through the Language of Art, she taught the Elements (line, shape, form, value, space, color, and texture) as well as the Principles (balance, contrast, proportion, variety, unity, and gradation) in each art project. Hannah encouraged every student to analyze their own artwork and the artwork of others through discussions and presentations. Today, she offers private art lessons to individuals of any age who would like to explore their creative side in their media of choice.
Hannah first tried yoga at the end of her college studies, when her fingertips were 6-8 inches from touching the ground (in forward fold), then she dabbled in yoga on Nintendo Wii. She really dove in and found transformation through Yoga One San Diego. In 2012, while serving tables at Cafe Chloe, Hannah met Laura McCorey, a teacher and blog writer from Yoga One, and began learning yoga in beautiful Balboa Park. Laura opened her perspective to the healing aspect that yoga can bring and she began to find inner balance and peace as she practiced 3-4 times a week at the studio for the following years to the present. With an athletic background of a runner and hiker, Hannah gradually began to increase in flexibility, balance and whole body strength. Today, her palms can press against the earth in forward fold! This teaches us that yoga is not for the flexible, but it is here to help us become more flexible!
In fall of 2014, after completing the Rainbow Kids Yoga Training, she stumbled upon the opportunity to also teach yoga to her students at the charter school. She continued to deepen her practice as she received her 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Certifficate from Yoga One San Diego in March 2015. Hannah shared her passion of travel by taking kids through imaginary journeys to different places. This passion evolved into teaching live adult adventure classes at Yoga One San Diego and Waterfront Park.
Hannah's students have been able to experience the joy and health benefits that yoga has to offer. Hannah emphasizes safety in getting into and out of poses, proper alignment, and the benefits of breathing with your movements (Vinyasa Flow). She incorporates partner poses like 'Bicycle" and "House" to teach trusting and interconnected relationships.
Hannah enjoys inspiring her students through a full body experience of movement with breath, muscle strength and flexibility, connection with others, listening to verbal instructions and stories, playing world music, aromatherapy, and symbolism through visual art.
Hannah has had the opportunity to teach a Kids Summer Camp in 2015 that connects the yoga lessons to her art lessons. For example, she taught a Rain forest theme lesson with poses like tree, frog, jaguar, and rainbow, then incorporated illustration examples through books about the Rain forest, and students drew and colored their own illustration with these animals and objects. Further, after a yoga lesson of Things that Fly, students created bald eagles with vinyl by tracing their hands for the wings. Hannah aspires to share her light and enthusiasm to anyone who is open.
Hannah loves Half Moon pose and the contrast that it represents with the sun, similar to yin/yang philosophy. There are many contrasts in our life that are meant to be observed and appreciated: night/day, inhale/exhale, forward-bend/back-bend, hot/cold, energetic/calm, in/out, up/down, new/old, fast/slow, work/play, travel/home, left/right, clean/dirty, empty/full, difficult/easy, and young/old. She is inspired to continue to grow on her journey and share it with you!

My daughter has been a student of Hannah's for over a year. My daughter's talent has grown and developed quite a bit under her instruction. An added bonus, my daughter loves her! Highly recommended by child and parents!
In 2006 I began my personal journey with yoga. At first it was a way to lose a little weight and get free of some of the stresses of my daily work life. But, I quickly fell in love and soon devoted myself to daily practice. In 2011 I completed my first 200 hour yoga teacher certification course in hot yoga. In 2014 I decided to grow my knowledge and completed a second 200 hour certification in Vinyasa yoga. My teaching style can be personalized to best serve the student. My purpose as a yoga teacher is to provide students with a way to move forward in their own personal journeys. Yoga is an ar
t and a science that can touch mind, body and soul. But each person's yoga path is his/her own, and we can work together to find you the balance, strength, flexibility, relaxation, courage, peace, understanding, or whatever it is you seek!

Hi! My name is Jackie, and I have 15+ years of experience in teaching, tutoring, and training. Currently, I am enjoying tutoring adults in passing the California teacher’s exam, as well as teaching teenagers and adults Spanish.
All of my students, meaning a perfect 100%, have improved their grades by at least one letter grade, if not more, and passed every one of their tests and exams. I help ALL my clients reach their goals!
Recently, I returned to San Diego after living in Peru where I taught English as a second language. My students ranged from adult business people and academicians
to primary and secondary school students. I really needed to utilize different teaching methods depending on each student’s needs. Some students wanted more business-related conversation, so I had be able to teach business principles in marketing, communication, logistics, interviewing, and so much more. Critical thinking was an area that I pushed my business students to improve. Other students needed to work on the basics of grammar, reading, and writing, and we had a lot of fun in class, whether going through the interactive lesson or improvising by singing the American pop songs to learn the lyrics.
The feedback I often received from my Peruvian students, as well as my students in Mexico and the U.S., was that I made learning an enjoyable experience—they wanted to work harder to advance quickly in their classes. All of my students agree that I have a lot of patience and turn even the most challenging lessons into ones of positivity and encouragement. I provide critical feedback in the most constructive of ways that helps the students reach conclusions on their own. I enjoy being there to support and guide their experience!
Before I left for Peru, I worked at St Vincent de Paul Village (part of Father Joe's Villages) in downtown San Diego. There I taught homeless and low-income adults with and without learning disabilities, as well as children from preschoolers to high school students. Teaching such a wide variety of students pushed me to think creatively and come up with memorable ways to engage the students and help them remember the lessons.
In high school, I took all AP and college prep classes. I went to a liberal arts college in Virginia where I focused on social studies and biology. I spent a few years training business people in Microsoft Office, Photoshop, InDesign, as well as presentation techniques. In grad school, I specialized in applied anthropology and public health. During that time, I tutored students in web design. In between, I've worked in Communications and Training in international health and development, so I have a lot of experience to bring to teaching.
Basically, I love teaching. I'm enthusiastic yet patient, and I absolutely adore helping kids and adults alike learn. It's such a sense of accomplishment when my students show off their terrific grades. I see the same look in my students’ eyes regardless of age—that pride that shines from within, that exuberant smile, like they can conquer anything. I want my students to keep that pride for a long, long time.

Living an active lifestyle all my life, yoga was the first activity that provided me the tools to explore growth in both my physical and mental health. From years of a personal home practice and extensive training, I have explored and found passion in teaching Yoga to all fitness levels. I believe yoga is accessible to everyone willing to show up on their mat. My experience of teaching lays within Hatha style such as Vinyasa yoga, Gentle, or Restorative. Yoga can meet you in your work space, home space or head space and I enjoy helping others find where it is they wish to meet their yoga pract

We are so used to viewing life from a right-side-up perspective, where we soak in the world around us by way of our sensory organs (eyes, ears, nose, and mouth). We process everything upstairs, allowing it all to accumulate to form our point of view, which in turn fuels our decisions, reactions, and movements down to our toes. Rather than taking the ti …
