I am a graduate of The University of The arts with a BA in music performance. The University of The Arts has allowed me to gain a reputable amount of performance and educational work. In my training at the University was able to concentrate on many styles of performance such as classical technique as well as Broadway and jazz. With that in mind, it is also important to stay current on today’s music as well. Music has allowed me to travel the world with various groups and perform with musicals greats like the Philly Pops, bassist Gerald Veasly and the great Bernard “Pretty “ Purdie. I earned a bachelor’s degree in Music Performance from the University of the Arts where I studied jazz guitar with Pat Martino, Jimmy Bruno, Steve Giordano, and Tom Giacabetti. I've been teaching songwriting for 4 years. I tailor lesson plans to help each individual student reach his or her goals. I believe songwriting can take a number of different forms and can be accomplished through a variety of techniques and environments. I will instruct based on my experience, but I will also work with students to develop the method(s) that work best for him or her.
My name is Victoria. I'm originally from beautiful San Diego, California, and I began my musical journey at age twelve while still back west. I received private instruction on guitar from a professional guitarist who focused on technique and classical playing. About a year later, I began playing guitar and bass in groups that ranged from church ensembles to rock bands, and even spent two years playing in an orchestra. Michael C. was eleven years old when he began to play the electric bass guitar. He decided to get an electric bass because it was the one instrument needed to start a band among his friends. In addition to playing the electric bass, Michael enjoyed time practicing on the guitar and piano in high school. Transferring the knowledge and finger technique to the guitar came easy because of the similarities between guitar and the bass.
