I am a professional vocalist with a broad range of experience. With a Bachelor of Music (Musical Theater) from Belmont University I am more than qualified to teach with a well supported vocal foundation. As a true lover of music and arts, I encourage my students to sing as much as possible! My confident and exciting approach to singing brings out the best in my students, which translates beautifully to real life situations. *** Lesson Details *** Each person is different in nature and each performer has a personal style and goal. My goal is to get to know what kind of voice and style each student desires, and base the curriculum off of that knowledge. A basic lesson looks like this: 5 minutes of breathing exercises 10-25 minutes of vocal technique exercises (e.g. scales) ...
I've been teaching broadway singing for 12 years and my students have gone on to receive scholarship money from colleges and entrances to performance high schools. Within the first few lessons, you'll be able to grasp foundational singing and breathing technique and as time goes on you'll be able to start adding to your repertoire. I specialize in audition preparation/creating shows/building repertoire, typically use opera books, and have the following tools available for your lessons: composition book and a pen/pencil. I love working with students of all ages and experience levels and I can't wait to meet you!
I have been taking the world by surprise since the age of 4. I began studying at Queens College at 6 years old and was a recital pianist by the age of 12. I was a consumer of music, from the Music Theory lessons on Saturdays, piano lessons on Thursdays and voice lessons on Saturday afternoons, my life was filled with music. It is to no one's surprise that I completed my first demo at the age of 13 and was performing for Queens Colleges audiences at 14. I went on the rank high in the NYSSMA series in both piano and voice. I also went on to study music in college and began touring with gospel troupes nationally. Since then I has done many workshops, Master Classes, tour dates, theatre shows etc. Too many to date. I am a sought after teacher for voice, piano and broadway singing. I train

My life revolves around music in all of its forms. I have studied piano since the age of 6 while singing ever since I knew how to make sound. Throughout my lifetime, I have been taught by some of the most influential teachers, and it is my goal to become one in your lifetime. I began participating in theater at an early age. Once In high school, I had my first job as a Drama Teacher at Saltworks Young Actors Studio where I taught Improvisation, Monologues and Musical Theater to students ages 6 through 16. I went to Point Park University where I received a BA in Musical Theater in 2006. Throughout College, I was also teaching voice and piano lessons. As an actor, I have enjoyed many successes. In 2007, I joined the NY Public Theater’s three night, 40th anniversary ...
I've performed with well-known Broadway stars such as Kelli O'Hara and Jessie Mueller, and I LOVE teaching this style! From the classic to the contemporary, we aim for dramatic integrity paired with "effortless" singing, flowing seemlessly from speech to song.
Every student is unique, and I tailor my lessons to best meet their individual needs. It is important to me that students learn through lessons that are insightful, interactive and fun! :) I began teaching in 1999 and have students of all ages and experience levels. Most recently a student of mine booked a contract for the national tour of "A Christmas Story!" In addition to being a voice and piano teacher, I am also a professional performing artist, singing on stages both in NYC and all over the world. I absolutely love working with students to instill and encourage confidence and the joy of music. I graduated from school with a degree in Vocal Performance & Theater Performance. Not only have I performed in numerous musicals and stage productions, I've been able to sing solo, and in both small and large ensembles in nearly every state in the US and all over the world (including Austria, Germany, Canada, and Costa Rica). I have since moved on from performing because I love sharing my passion and enthusiasm for voice with my students! I have been teaching voice since my senior year of high school. After some pedagogy training in college, I moved on to teach several students out of my home studio in Baltimore and now in New York. I incorporate aspects of classical and contemporary music to
