*** Lesson Details *** My approach to teaching is simple. The primary goal is to have fun and enjoy the experience of making and creating music. Whether you are interested in pursuing a career in music or just wanting to add a bit of a creative outlet to your life, let me help.
My specialties include jazz, r&b, and pop piano styles. I do teach a little classical but primarily to beginners only. My curriculum is simple. I try to teach you what it is YOU want to know and that which fit your needs. There are some fundamentals that we all must learn, but typically I can have you playing a song your first lesson. As you progress, you will be able to learn to play songs on your own and interpret simple chord charts with melody.
For those students who already actively play, I can help hone your skills, offer performance, recording and studio tips and techniques.
90 and 120 min lessons are only offered to those students wishing to learn production and do NOT apply to piano lessons.
*** Studio Equipment *** Your lessons are given in my pre-production studio in my condo. Lessons take place on an upright piano. If you are taking production classes, then see the list of gear below. My space is tidy but not always immaculate. I am a working musician and often have several projects juggling at once. There is room for 2 to 3 in addition to the student. My living room is always available and wi-fi for those who wait on a student is also available. More than ample parking is available at any time.
Buzz uses Cubase 8.5 recording software Sibelius 7 Notation Software Yamaha KX8 M-Audio Pro Keys 88 Casio Privia full array of VST instrument & effect plug-ins for commercial recording (Waves, Soectrasonics, Kontakt 5, etc)
I have eight years teaching experience and a bachelors in guitar performance. I attended AIM on bass guitar and have been playing for eighteen years. Through my education and experience I have had success in teaching the fundamentals and getting my students up to speed by teaching technique and strong music fundamentals. I teach all ages and am enthusiastic about conveying my love for the instrument.

I must say that Mr Daniel is doing a very good job. This was my third lesson, and he is not going through a set program but is teaching me where I'm at. So he is eliminating any waste time.
I will rate Mr. Daniel with 5 stars

Daniel has been outstanding the best instructor on the planet. When I resume in the future I know of know other instructor to work with.
Thank you for taking the time to view my profile- I look forward to helping you achieve your musical goals. I'm excited to announce that I'm now available to teach via Skype if you're outside of my teaching radius or are seeking a more convenient alternative.
I'm a professional guitarist with a background in jazz, heavy metal, blues, classical, and bossa nova. In 2006 I graduated from the Berklee College of Music and am lead guitarist for the Atlanta band Leaving Babylon.
Whether you are a beginning guitarist or a seasoned professional, I can expand and enhance your playing in any dire
ction you choose. I look forward to getting to know you as a student and learning about what course of study will bring out not only your understanding of music but a musical style that is unique to you.
Having a long time love of all music I have always enjoyed discussing music and educating others on its many aspects. As such I began teaching during summers home from Berklee and found that it was something I had a great deal of talent for. Now, with seven years of teaching experience behind me, I look forward to bringing my skills and insights to students of all ages and bring not only ability on the guitar but a greater love of music to a fresh crop of open minds!!
In addition to guitar, I am also qualified to teach voice, public speaking, dramatic acting, and all aspects of music theory, the latter of which I incorporate into all of my music lessons.
PLEASE NOTE: I am able to take students either in my home studio or at the student's residence. In both cases students who are under 18 years of age are required to have a parent or guardian present during all lessons. Additionally, please note I have two cats as well, in the event that allergies may be an issue.
*** Lesson Details *** Although I follow a specific lesson plan, its important to customize that to each student's skill level and specific needs. Thus, I will spend the first lesson evaluating where the student is in terms of overall musical awareness, existing skill on the instrument, and long term interest.
By the end of the first month, my beginning students will be able to perform basic chromatic and major scales, name the notes on the instrument, and have command of a few basic chords. With these core concepts and regular, committed practice, they will be able to learn and perform songs in a wide variety of styles after 3 to 6 months have passed.
My more advanced students will have a lesson plan customized to their specific goals and desires. In 3 to 6 months with such a student I will have them well on the path to accomplishing their long term goals, whether those be playing, composition, harmonic awareness, understanding of theory, or all of the above.
*** Studio Equipment *** dedicated music room; cables/amps; electric & acoustic guitars; keyboard
*** Travel Equipment *** Electric or acoustic guitar as needed.
*** Specialties *** Having graduated from the Berklee College of Music, I follow their approach in educating the student. In this regard I teach music theory along with the physical act of playing the guitar, which serves to not only enrich the experience for the student but demonstrate how what they are learning is applied to music on the whole.
I am fluent in many genres and specialize in rock, jazz, the blues, and various fusion genres. Because music functions off of the same principles regardless of genre, I can take whatever style the student might best appreciate and structure my lesson plan around it.

Great Instruction for all levels
I am in my mid-thirties and have never had any formal musical instruction until I started taking lessons with Jordan a few months ago. I was a little nervous about starting the lessons, but Jordan made me very comfortable right away. You definitely can tell he knows music inside and out. He is also very helpful about incorporating just enough music theory into each lesson, so I can expand my knowledge of theory, but not so much that I get overwhelmed. I would definitely recommend Jordan to anyone looking for a great vocal or guitar instructor.
TimothyM June 12, 2012
Jordan is an excellent instructor. I'm very pleased with the guidance that I have received thus far. With the limited amount of time spent in a 30min session, we always seem to cover a lot of ground. I would recommend lessons with him for any guitarist looking to take their guitar skills to the next level.
MayA October 16, 2011
Jordan is very knowledgeable and professional. I am very pleased with his teaching style and making me comfortable learning to play.
From how to build a home studio to how to maximize your CPU. I mainly use Ableton Live but have been using Pro Tools since 2000.
While still in high school, three of my songs were featured on National Public Radio and I was able to play at the Bluebird Cafe in Nashville. I next went to school at App State and then graduated from the Atlanta Institute of Music and headlined the graduation concert! My grad school was moving around Atlanta, Savannah, Athens, Nashville, New York and Chicago as a hired guitarist, and teaching in music stores. I played in a wide range of styles and roles (engineer, promoter, musical director, band leader etc) and around 300 gigs!
I took a break last year to finish 2 books I had bounci
ng around in my head and hard drive and self published them last year! The books compliment lessons so our time is spent showing you how to play and playing together, not you looking at me, while I draw a chord. The books have tab with rhythm, chord/scale diagrams and a written description of each topic like an encyclopedia. They also show you how music fits together and give you a solid foundation to build on and music ideas you can use.
As a performer in Savannah, Georgia, my band received the "Best Blues Band" award from Connect Magazine in 2007. I'm currently endorsing Curt Mangan Strings and Gadow Guitars because they're awesome!!!
*** Lesson Details *** My teaching style is all about building on what you already know and pointing out what you're doing right. I'm a very laid back person and love to hear and learn new music so I try to incorporate the music you want to learn as much as possible. Above all else I try to teach you how to practice so that you get the most out of your guitar when you're not in your lesson.
*** Studio Equipment *** recording studio, amps, music stand chairs...has a dog.
*** Travel Equipment *** Travel amp, acoustic or electric, cables.
*** Specialties *** I specialize in teaching theory, technique, performance and improvisation through song so you don't feel like you're working. I am fluent in and have performed these styles on stage: rock, jazz, blues, pop, metal, show tunes, surf, funk, jam, and R&B. I like it all! I teach you to have a solid foundation and how to get songs performance ready. I also try to encourage you to write your own music and can show you some ways to be more creative and get more mileage out of some of the things you already know.

He really cares about his student’s and really wants to see them win , even when he’s not on the clock with you at the moment he randomly sends you helpful tips and interesting reading files that can help you along the way to become a success artist. I will most definitely keep him around while I'm on my Musical Journey ! and If I were you I would too."
