She has helped me tremendously! We have a good time learning and laughing during my lessons with her. She had also helped me to stop listening to what others think about my voice and focus on believing in myself as I learn and progress. Risks l thanks

Desiree puts the fun in fundamentals!

I decided to take voice lessons for pleasure as a hobby to keep my mind off of the stresses of daily life. I had a lot of confidence issues to get over when I started taking lessons with Desiree; mainly because I didn't want to embarrass myself like those people I make fun of on American Idol. Her non-threatening teaching style has been the perfect fit for me...although she does raise her voice at me when I judge myself too harshly, but I won't count against her ;) My confidence has soared and I feel that I'm a much bolder and more comfortable singer. I’m enjoying every minute of discovering my voice with Desiree. I've still got some work to do but I'm confident she'll help me reach my goals.

Voices are a Gift

Desiree has helped my sister and I develop our vocal skills and work to our full potential. She has also helped us realize that our voices are a gift and we need to treasure them. Desiree has strengthened our confidence in signing in front of people as well as signing in general. She is more than just a teacher she is a role model and a person we feel we can count on.

Emily is GREAT!

Emily is a great voice teacher and Sage adores and admires her very much. Sage has learned so much from Emily and we are very happy with her services. What I DIDN'T Know

Emily is an awesome coach and instructor. Yes I said coach! A coach actually encourages you, and that is what she did for me. Anyway, as for the title, "What I DIDN'T Know", there were things in film auditions that I didn't know that would were actually sabotaging my chances for auditions. Emily worked on these real quick and fixed them up.Long story short, I had an audition yesterday, and using Emily's lessons's the casting director said, "Wow, that was actually really good"

Excellent Instructor

I've spent years developing bad singing habits. Emily has been very patient and has helped me fix many of those bad habits one step at a time. I've made significant progress in a few short months and would recommend her to anyone looking to study voice.

I was hesitant to approach an instructor I hadn't met before but after a few emails (and we had several mutual friends on Facebook) I decided it was worth a shot. I had an audition for a community theatre production and needed help working on both my monologue and cold reading.

I emailed Cindy my monologue and she emailed me back explaining why it was wrong for me (wrong age range and too classical for my level of experience). I thought I was SUPPOSED to be doing a Shakespearean monologue! I'M AN ACTOR! But I had no training in any type of classical theatre or experience with heightened language and Cindy explained why both were necessary (or at LEAST have a working knowledge of them) to be able to 1) understand what I'm saying and 2) be able to CONNECT with what I'm saying. On our first meeting I preformed the monologue and she explained we could work on it or pick a new one. My audition was in 3 weeks so I decided on picking a new one. SHe sent me 15 or so monologues that were appropriate for my age range and varied with contemporary, classical, comedic and dramatic. I sent back the 3 I liked best and she helped me decide (she did not decide for me - I was hoping she would!) which would allow me demonstrate my strengths.

We worked on it 3 times (an hour each) before my audition and every time she game me valuable notes to work on on my own. On my last session I felt VERY confidant in my work and was able to really bring that confidence into the audition. I got a callback but didn't book the role but that's ok, I grew as an actor (and will continue to grow!). In fact, I've scheduled sessions to work on the Shakespeare piece so I can have that in my "toolbox" (she loves that term!)

Highly recommended if you are an actor struggling to book roles!
