Mark T.

Lewisville, TX

Having taught painting classes for both advanced and beginner students over the past year, I find my students shocked by the quality of their work at the end of our sessions; especially those who have never worked with paints before. I adapt my teaching goals to each student's needs but generally, I always promote the fundamentals such as contrast, balance, composition and proportions. I love to keep things lively and fun because at the end of the day it's important to enjoy what you're doing.

About Mark

Mark, a 22 year old college student studying to be an Art Teacher, has been teaching painting and drawing lessons since June of 2013 and is currently available to teach lessons from his home or designated location of your choice. In his own work, he can produce works of abstraction as well as realistic renderings and can adjust to your interests and skill level, whether beginner or experienced, he can help your work improve with one on one instruction and encouragement. He is well practiced in Oil and Acrylic paints, as well as both pencil and pen drawing, having been drawing since the age of
8.

"I'd love to help you in your pursuits with art!" - Mark

Gabrielle was great! I really liked how she gets you involved in the language by starting off with sentence structure first. I would highly recommend if you are an adult beginner looking to get introduced to a new language.

“Gabriela, I would like to thank you for teaching Italian to our corporate team and myself at Verona Marble Company, Inc. for the past 16 months. Your teaching style works well for us and you keep the class fun and interesting. Since I work for an Italian company your class will be very helpful. Non vedo l’ora di poter studiare di nuovo nella seconda parte del corso! Thanks!”

Gabrielle Anderson is an excellent and fully trustable Teacher. My daughter and son are very excited to go to her lessons every week for last 2 years. My daughter's STAAR scores have improved and her french speaking also has improved tremendously as well as her grades in English language arts and french. My son's interest in reading and school grades have improved greatly. It really made school studies very easy for my daughter and son. I highly recommend Gabrielle for english and french tutoring.

Colleen F.

Plano, TX

I've been teaching painting lessons since August of 2014. I believe it is important for my students to work on creating their own paintings while learning the technique in the process. I will teach technique, translating an idea into an artwork, color theory, and anything the artist wants to work on specifically.

About Colleen

Hi, my name is Colleen F. and my life revolves around the arts with crafting, visual, and performing arts.. I work in Arcrylic, charcoal, graphite, and my favorite, mixed media. There is a wonderful feeling about starting with a blank canvas and having it develop into a beautiful artwork. I love working in smaller groups to get to know my students and help their individual skill flourish.
In addition to the fine arts, I scrapbook. Scrapbooking is a way to make your photo's come to life! Creating a scrapbook is a way to channel your inner crafter without too much stress or tediousness. It'
s fun and relaxing, and there's a beautiful sense of accomplishement once it's completed!
My other form of art: Irish dancing. There is something about this dance form that has grabbed hold of me. I'm a highly accomplished competitive Irish dancer and would love to share my passion and knowledge for dance with anyone that's interested, and once hooked, there's no turning back!

Lara L.

Dallas, TX

Do you love to paint? Who are three of your favorite artists and why? What inspires you and your style, or what kind of style are you interested in studying? You will learn how to embrace, understand, appreciate, and enjoy creativity and will learn techniques that will strengthen throughout our lessons.

About Lara

I take a different approach to teaching than a lot of people- I am PASSIONATE about everything that I do and have over 12 years of professional experience. I've published a novel, produced a record, played music live at venues, display art at galleries, have trained in methodical acting and went to The North Carolina School of the Arts Acting Conservatory. I am patient and want you to do well and enjoy the subject(s) you are seeking tutoring for. If you don't like the subject, I can promise you that you will love it during the course of the class and after the class. I invest all of my experie
nce and education into teaching and tutoring and encourage questions. I will challenge you to inspire you, not embarrass you. If you are having a hard time with an assignment, I'm here to help you. There is no such thing as a stupid question. The only question that I will give you a hard time about (if you ask it) is if you ask me how much time we have left until the lesson is over. Ready?
