About Priscilla

I love people of all ages. And I love helping them discover what beautiful things they can create in the world of music! Music is such a powerful way to express ourselves, and I love helping others learn how to do this and really enjoy it. I have played piano since I was three. When I was able to read at age four, I began lessons, and the rest is history. I graduated from Wheaton College Conservatory of Music with a degree in Piano Performance and completed a Master's degree in Piano Performance at the University of Redlands. I love to perform, have written several songs, produced three CD's all with original music that I perform, and have just completed a fourth CD featuring major classical piano works arranged with favorite hymns. I have also written a musical and am in the

I am very proud of knowing Priscilla and introducing her to be my son and nephew’s piano teacher. She is a very professional, responsible and high-level teacher. She loves teaching and loves to pass her music passion to her students. What’s more, she is also a composer. I love her solo CDs which have become my home and car background music, in which people can feel the elements of calmness, happiness, purity, maturity, delight and gratefulness, all beautiful alive feelings from life. Being instructed by such a wonderful teacher with beautiful inner spirit, no wonder all her students play beautiful music

Priscilla is nothing short of fantastic! I took lessons from her when she lived here in San Diego and enjoyed them so much I am now taking online lessons from her since she moved. She is profoundly knowledgeable, patient, dedicated and kind. Her teaching methods are clear and help to make learning the piano both interesting and fun. I am an adult student, but I also know that she is very skilled at teaching children of all ages.

Priscilla is a great singing teacher!

I've been taking singing lessons from Priscilla for a year. Mostly Broadway, some blues, some classical. I've learned a lot from Priscilla! I enjoy singing a lot more now and my voice has gotten dramatically better in a year. Priscilla is a fun, very sweet, and she makes you work hard. When I started, I knew how to read music but I didn't have experience singing. She has been a great teacher at every step of the way, even as my skill level has changed dramatically.

About Kathryn

My music story began when, as a young child, I wanted to sit where I could watch our church pianist play. At the age of seven I began formal lessons. I was fortunate to have an excellent teacher. I was also fortunate to have a mother that saw to it that people around me knew I had talent, such as my school and church music directors! It was to my horror that she pointed me out to the attention of so many that I was soon being asked to accompany my school choir as well as serve as official church pianist at the age of 14. Of course, now I am thankful for her diligence, as music has served me well and has enriched my life beyond measure. I specialize in piano accompaniment for voice, in addition to other instruments and currently serve as lead worship pianist in my home church. ...

Great teacher for all ages!!

I studied under Mrs. Serrato for several years. Besides being a very knowledgable and accomplished pianist, Mrs. Serrato is very friendly and easy to work with.
I started my musical training later than most, at the age of 17. Mrs. Serrato was the perfect teacher for me, with her patient and encouraging mannerisms she was able to teach me from the beginning and keep me engaged throughout. My younger brother has also studied under her, she was just as patient and encouraging with him. I was amazed at how easy it was to pick up such and art, but I know this was much due to my training by Mrs. Serrato.

I would very much recommend Mrs. Serrato for anyone who has had previous piano experience, and also for beginners!
Carol D. Dallas, TX

Focus is on improving style, range, agility, flexibility and protecting your voice.

About Carol

On singing and performing: I've been a musician for a very long time and can testify that music heals on a mind, body, and soul level! Though my official performances in front of audiences started with playing woodwind instruments such as clarinet, sax, and flute from elementary school through high school in band, my primary instrument in earnest has been voice for the past 27 years. However, my Mom told me that I have actually been singing--well, humming (a recognizable tune at that!)-- since I was nine months old. I've lead numerous solos in small ensembles and large choirs over the years, and was very involved not only with the adult music ministry at my church, but directed the children's choir as well. I'm a huge fan of arranging and creating harmonies for duets, trios, and small ...

Carol is a wonderful voice teacher. She is easygoing and patient. I have been taking weekly lessons with her since June of 2014 and have increased in my range. I now attend every other week.

I am a mezzo-soprano but used to always sing in alto range, but now I am more comfortable singing in my range or sometimes higher. Also, I am already naturally talented but needed some guidance in knowing when to breath through phrases, increased range, and holding notes long enough to make it sound more beautifully.

She has helped me a lot. I truly recommend her for beginners or those of you who are already talented and just need to tweak things up a bit. She's amazing. I enjoy her as a teacher. Thank you Carol!

Lisa C. Rockwall, TX

I have been singing as long as I can remember and teaching for more than 20 years.

Because the voice is uniquely individual, my approach to each student is strictly based on their needs as a vocalist. I listen to each student and develop a program for development based on the needs I hear as well as the desires of the student.

Of course, good technique is universal and there are some exercised I use with all of my vocalists to develop good habits.

About Lisa

I have been a music teacher and private lesson instructor for the past 17 years. I have a bachelor of science degree in Music Education and hold a teaching certificate for all-level Music Education. In my private studio I have taught students from 3-70 and have enjoyed them all! In addition to teaching music I also serve as the Music Minister for my church. Students coming to me can expect a tremendous amount of experience as well as a committed, honest and caring teacher. *** Lesson Details *** For beginning piano students I like to use the Alfred series, supplemented, of course, with songs/styles of music that interest the student. Guitar, clarinet, and oboe students can expect to begin with the Essential Elements series as a primer and introduction. I've had a lot of ...

Recommendation for Lisa

Lisa is an excellent teacher and musician. She's perfect for an old guy like me in his 60's that has had no lessons in decades! She is supportive and encouraging, yet critical and instructive when needed. She loves her work and it shows through her sweet spirit. I'm lucky to have found her.

Make sure to wear clothing you can move in during our sessions, and, most importantly, explore and just have fun!

About TOYA

I have taught acting to small children, teens, and adults in community, private, and collegiate settings. I taught acting at the legendary Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute in New York City. Melissa M. Richardson, TX

I've been teaching voice for 18 years and my students have gone on to study music in college, perform professionally, or just had fun learning. I specialize in all levels and styles, believe a good foundation of music theory is important, and have the following tools available for your lessons: music literature library, method books, and a baby grand piano! I love working with students of all ages and experience levels and I can't wait to meet you!

About Melissa

Hi! My name is Melissa and I can't wait to help you embark on your musical goals! After 18 years of teaching and performing, I have learned what works and what doesn't. More importantly, I understand that each student is different. What works for you or your student may not work for another, so it is important to recognize those differences and update my instruction technic based on each student's needs. I also have a long resume of performance experience that aids in my ability to prepare my students for all avenues including recitals, ensemble performances, professional auditions, and preparation for college. I personally hold two degrees in music and have studied with some of the most sought after coaches.

I began taking lessons from Melissa after my first teacher felt unable to take me to the next level. A classmate recommended Melissa and I'm glad she did. I have learned so much and I have fun on each lesson too.

Melissa began teaching my two girls when they were 5 and 6 years old. From day 1, they would not stop talking about their lessons with Miss Melissa. I noticed during the lessons thay she really took the time to build up the girls confidence. As they got older the girls became active in school misic programs and community theater. They always seemed to be a step ahead of the class because of the strong foundation they received in piano lessons. Melissa also helped my oldest prepare of her college music department audition where she was accepted with a scholarship offer to both her first and second choice schools. We highly recommend Melissa!
