OVERVIEW First of all, thank you for taking a look at my profile! I hope that we can work together to find your unique voice and style. As they say, "be yourself...everyone else is taken." For that reason, I do not take the same approach for every student I teach. Everyone learns differently, and I want to make sure I am teaching you in a way that will make your learning experience the best it can be. I do expect you to have goals of your own, but I do have a few goals for you. I want to help you: 1) develop a healthy singing technique that will bring longevity to your career or hobby. 2) learn music efficiently and independently. 3) develop good practice habits. 4) learn basic ear training/sight singing. Now, here's a little bit about me. I've been ...
Singing lessons are completely customized. Sight singing, theory, performance, pitch recognition, breathing, and posture are all elements within the preferred genre. Understanding the body and voice are also main topics.
I have always been fascinated with how music is created and who works behind the scenes of performances and recordings. I started playing the flute in elementary school, piano in junior high school, and singing in high school. Once I got to UMASS, Dartmouth I chose the Music option for my major. I then moved on to NYU. I have been teaching for over ten years now. Working with students both in person and online has been amazing. With online lessons I am able to work with students who love the convenience of being at home and in person I can show students what it is like to really grow! I love my students of all ages, and can only hope to show others how amazing music can be. I have worked with a handful of students with special needs and am comfortable teaching in a non-traditional style.
I've been teaching singing for over 20 years now and you can check out some of my students' work on my YouTube channel.

I have been teaching singing lessons for the last three years after over ten years of vocal training in a variety of styles including pop, jazz, classical, and musical theater. All lessons are tailored to the needs and wants of the student and primarily focus on building repertoire and performance preparation as well as building overall musicianship as a soloist and collaborator.
I have a Bachelor of Music in Jazz Studies with voice as my primary instrument from Western Michigan University, one of the best of such programs in the world.
