About Rachel

Thanks for checking out my profile! I would love to help you discover, strengthen and improve your voice.

Here's a little bit about me: I attended Syracuse University where I received a bachelor's degree in vocal performance. I then traveled down south to get my Master's from Southwestern Seminary in Fort Worth, TX. I served as Administrative Director for the Gregg Smith Singers' Adirondack Festival of American Music in Lake Placid, NY and performed with the all-female a cappella ensemble, The Mandarins, for whom I was director and vocal percussionist, as well as a Varsity Vocals award-win
ning soloist and arranger. I've played the role of Marcellina in Mozart's The Marriage of Figaro, as well as lead roles in Anything Goes, Me and My Girl, Annie Warbucks and Oliver. I have performed with the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra, traveled internationally with the Southwestern Jazz Combo and have been a featured artist on the FEBC radio station in Seoul, Korea. For the past few years I have judged many singing competitions in Pennsylvania, New York and New Jersey. We are so happy with the great experiences that Rachel has provided our daughter with, through music. Our daughter really enjoys her time each week learning new songs and gaining confidence with singing them. As the weeks go by we have observed our daughters self-esteem develop and her willingness to participate in social events . My husband and I are so thankful for the knowledge she is bringing into our daughters life.

Jacquelyne Y.

Allentown, PA

Learn REAL vocal technique while learning your favorite musical style from Opera to POP...you can BECOME A STAR!

About Jacquie

As a young child, Jacquie began to show interest in both piano and voice. Coming from a musical family tree, her father began teaching her beginner piano as well as vocal harmony through original children compositions. She began her formal piano training at age 8 and continued to study for the next 5 years. At this time she also began writing music and recording her compositions in the family recording studio.

Around the age of 12, Jacquie began her training in classical voice. She is well versed in all styles from Opera to Pop and has the unique ability to train others to accomplish their
musical goals. As a Coloratura Soprano she has starred in many productions and won prestigious vocal competitions throughout the USA and Europe. Jacquie is an accomplished Contemporary Songwriter and Recording Artist which has caught the eye of quite a few National Recording Companies. In the Summer of 2000 she toured throughout Tuscany, Italy as a featured soloist with SSMA with an Orchestral Ensemble. While in college she minored in Piano Performance and majored in Vocal Performance.

Jacquie began teaching at the age of 16 from her family's music store in beginner piano and voice where she learned the art of being an private instructor. Since then she has taught at other prestigious Music Schools and has trained students of all ages to the advanced level. She prides herself on the ability to be able to customize each lesson to accommodate both the student's wants and needs. She has trained many students who have gained successful entrance into LVPA Charter High School, Community Theaters and highly acclaimed competitions such as "American Idol." In 2005 she acquired a membership with NATS (National Association of Teachers of Singing).

Come have FUN with Jacquie, she would love to have the opportunity to guide you or your children through a musical journey!

As a private instructor Jacquie believes that lessons can be both FUN and rewarding. She holds her students accountable for practicing and preparing for the next week's lesson by setting goals and providing techniques in order to be successful. Throughout the lesson she will give praise for the students accomplishments as well as give constructive feedback for improvement. She prefers to teach from the Alfred's Piano Library for Piano, recommends Theory, Harmony & Solfege, as well as materials for the students choice of Musical and Vocal style. It is also recommended to bring a notebook, binder and personal MP3 device in order to prepare for the next week's lesson. Within the first 3-6 months a student will have learned the beginning techniques for either piano or voice and have quite a few songs added to their repertoire.

Jacquie's studio has a comfortable seating area for parents to observe the lesson if desired. She also has a full size digital studio piano, recording studio, stereo, and other musical necessities to accommodate each and every lesson professionally.

All styles from Opera to POP!
Experience with teaching young children, special needs (physically/intellectually disabled), and people who are tone deaf.

Joe is awesome

I came to Joe with some basic knowledge and skills on bass, he recognized this and built on it very quickly. I feel my skilled has tripled in the short time I've taken lessons with Joe. Our lessons are never boring an he does so much more than tell me to play a set of notes, he challenges me to make my own way and improvise. I would definitely recommend him for anyone wanting to learn an instrument.

Joe taught both my kids and made it a wonderful experience

We wanted our son and daughter to have an appreciation of music and at the same time enjoy the experience. Joe was the perfect solution. He has the ability to reach out to kids and make them feel comfortable. He encouraged them to select the music they enjoyed and then molded his lessons around their interest. We didn't really need to push them to practice, they actually enjoyed it. This had not been the case at other organizations, where it was always a chore to have them practice.
