Brianna S.

Los Angeles, CA

About Brianna

Hi, I'm Bri! I'm a graduate of North Central College with a BA in Music (Emphasis in Composition and Percussion) and a minor in History. I absolutely love music, every single aspect of it. I love to make music a part of everybody's lives who want and need it. I want to help you with your musical needs. I have been playing percussion for 17 years, singing for 23, and playing piano for 19 years. I was a member of a recording and performing Chicago band, Oblio and Arrow, where I provided backing vocals and helped with the song arrangements. I also record vocals for different artists hooks, jingle
s, choruses, and entire songs (covers and originals).

History has always fascinated me. They way our world has developed and changed, and continues to evolve is amazing. Everything can be tied back to the past, and I feel it's important to take a look back, put yourself in that time, and really study how things were to help understand why things are the way they are now.

Crocheting and knitting are a couple of good habits/hobbies I picked up about 8 years ago. I sell scarves online and I'm always working on some sort of project. I will have you knitting and pearling with the best of them!

Music, history, crochet, and knitting....I'm your girl!

Jesse D.

Los Angeles, CA

About Jesse

Hi, everybody! My name is Jesse and I'm excited to work with you. I've spent the past seven years teaching so many different kinds of courses, ranging from elementary school to college, and I'm excited to transition back to tutoring. I've helped my students learn how to write essays, poetry, short stories, plays, screenplays, as well as how to read literature critically for the classroom and standardized tests.

I earned a Masters of Fine Arts in writing from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2013. I'm a fun, patient, and creative teacher, and I'm excited to work with a wide range of st
udents. My mom talks about me being a rambunctious kid with too much energy on my hands, so I'm especially prepared to teach high-energy and nontraditional learners. Look forward to hearing from you!

Nikki S.

Los Angeles, CA

About Nikki

My name is Nikki and I am 26 years old from Los Angeles. I grew up in South Orange County and then moved to Savannah, Georgia. I studied fashion design at Savannah College of Art and Design and received a scholarship to play on their women's golf team (we were #1 in the country in the NAIA). I went pro in 2012 and participated in Q school and played on the Sun Coast Tour.
I love working with kids. I have worked in many kids camps including SCAD Art Smarts summer camp, vacation bible school, The First Tee of Savannah. I have been babysitting for many years now. I am a responsible, independent,
hard working young adult with strong values and morals. My career is in the arts, specifically in fashion design, but I love drawing and painting and pretty much anything else that is artsy and crafty. I can knit, crochet, weave, and sew.

On the first lesson Nikki related to my sixteen-year-old very well, and she dove right in to teaching fashion illustration. My daughter has had other art instructors from other schools - little of whom accomplished as much as Nikki in the first lesson. She gave necessary information ahead of class and was prepared with samples and work to be completed in class. It is wonderful when a student is happy she gets homework too! We are looking forward to many more lessons with Nikki.
