"This experience really helped me grasp important concepts that I otherwise would have never known. I feel like I learned A LOT in only 3 classes and I can
't wait to learn more. Gil was very productive; he based the lessons on what I use Photoshop for and actually allowed us to work on projects that I had to do for work, instead of just teaching what he wanted to teach. He was SUPER patient and never made me feel bad for stopping to take notes. I would definitely recommend him to anyone trying to learn a computer program he is knowledgeable in. This is totally irrelevant, but he has cool hair too! Thanks Gilbert!"

"Gilbert is an amazing teacher, I had the pleasure of taking multiple classes of his and each one was my most looked forward to class everyday. Gil makes l
earning fun but in the most professional way possible, he simplifies concepts for you in a way that you can grasp a lot easier and expand on your own. He is also very knowledgeable in his fields ranging from Photoshop to Maya to tons of others. Every bit of knowledge I carry with me into the real world is from Gilbert. Had it not been for his amazing teaching style I would never have landed the graphic design jobs that i did. Using his techniques I was easily able to outperform other candidates for the job and land it myself. My biggest recommendation is to TAKE GIL'S CLASSES!"

"I went to learn more about grid design, color theory, and typography. I wanted to apply these concepts and build my portfolio. Jennifer was very friendly
and enthusiastic in sharing her experiences and insights to improve my work. Her feedback and comments were very specific and to-the-point, and she pointed out some really cool resources for me to read up on that she came across during her studies at Pratt Institute. Overall, I would definitely recommend Jennifer as a tutor on graphics design."

"I took Intro to Photoshop my first or second year at community college. I went in thinking "I just want a fun class that I can just get class credit for".
It ended up being much more than that. I actually learned techniques I never fathomed in my mind that I could do. I learned so much. I had fun. I am able to use some of those techniques in my photography today. I am not pro compared to the work of my fellow classmates, but I indeed did learn a lot! Gil is such an awesome teacher, passionate and serious, with just the right amount of fun! He definitely has a passion and love for art, which is evident in his teaching. I would highly recommend his classes, and if I was still attending school, I may just take another class with him, though I am not an art major HAHA!!! He's that awesome!"

"Blake is very professional and extremely helpful. I am a Photoshop rookie and Blake was very patient with my quirky errs and explained the right way to ap
proach and utilize all the necessary tools. The lesson was also a breeze thanks to Blake's outgoing personality and excellent sense of humor. I highly recommend."
Are you a singer or speaker who would like a more powerful, authentic voice? Please take a deep inhale by expanding and opening your rib cage, relax your jaw and exhale with 'aaahhh'. Have FUN with it
so that you can hear and feel the difference sooner. My focus is to assist you in finding an easier way to sustain your best posture, breath support, resonance and pitch control by bringing awareness to existing vocal habits and giving you hands-on experience with adjusting those habits. My mission is to help you find your most relaxed & elongated posture, breath support, full resonance and best pitch control.
My specialty as a professional voice teacher is Contemporary Commercial Music [CCM] which encompasses genres & sub-genres from Pop, Country, Hip/Hop, Folk, Rock, R&B, Soul, Gospel, EDM [electronic dance music], etc.
I grew up singing freely and naturally until I destroyed my voice thru improper, frequent overuse. I believed my career was over, but it was just starting. Private lessons with vocal professionals coupled with academic studies rebuilt my perception of how I was generating sound and their training gave me back MY VOICE, for which I am forever grateful.
I CAN HELP YOU REACH YOUR GOALS: My cross-training in dance, yoga, Tai Chi, commercial & improvisational acting provides a well-rounded platform from which to deliver information, guide vocal explorers and also help develop talent.
EXPERIENCE: * 18 years teaching experience * 12 years living & working in Los Angeles * A lifetime of performing experience * 12 years personal private vocal studies master teachers of bel canto & contemporary singing techniques.
LIFE SKILLS: No matter the subject, my focus is also teach skills that can be extrapolated into any area of your life. Life Skills focuses on eradicating negative self-talk and expanding communication skills that help develop confidence, enhancing daily life.
Between performing and my own artistic studies, I have been taking the occasional private voice student since 1997, mostly via referrals from friends and other students. While living in California, one of my voice teachers requested me as her regular substitute at Culver City and Santa Monica Music Schools from 2008-2012, which I felt deeply honored. She said she trusted me with their voices, which encouraged me into full-time voice teaching practice. In June 2012, I returned to Minneapolis and began teaching in my home studio through music services like Take Lessons. Past projects include producing a vocal showcase at The Ritz Theater, musical direction & choreography for a school's 2016 production of the Wizard of Oz; assisting students to prepare for local & national auditions like La Banda, The Voice & American Idol; prepping singers for studio recordings and congratulating a new student who's stepped out of the chorus to land her first lead role!
I am forever grateful to all of my teachers, past and present, for their valuable gifts of knowledge, skill, grace and compassion.
ENJOY LIFE MORE! Singing & dancing improves our quality of life.

I found her personality to be so infectious! And she taught me warmup techniques I have never seen despite being in choir virtually my whole life. I love that she has a dance background and places such an emphasis on knowing your body. I think she's a great human being as well as a gifted teacher, and I highly recommend her!

Don was excellent! We arranged for lessons to take place in our home which was super convenient. Don worked with both my daughter and myself weekly. His lessons were both fun and challenging. Highly recommend working with Don! Fun for all ages.

WHAT ABOUT TEACHING? Everybody wants the best. I believe QUALITY is the most important. Each person is unique and should be treated in a unique way.
What comes first? Question or answer? When we arrive on our first day at school do we have final exams? First the teacher shares some knowledge during class. Depending on the teacher's talent and passion and love for his work the students will learn something. Then only we have exams.
Life is the biggest exam off all. Every day we are being tested. With our family, friends, work. Hopefully wisdom will come out of this process. All we need is a little support to all grow together.
Teaching is a big responsibility. Parents and teachers, it is our duty to teach the best. Let's do our best together. Thank you.

thank you so much for improving my French. It is important for my studies. Thank you!
Hi, my name is Danielle! I am 22 years old. I have many hobbies, and skills that I would be happy to teach you. Since I am new to TakeLessons and want to gain trust of students before officially launc
hing, I am offering a FREE lesson of your choice: dance, slacklining, jewelry design, photoshop (or other technical programs below). Don't miss out on this awesome opportunity!
I danced competitively for over 10 years practicing all styles of dance, primarily tap, jazz, and ballet. During this time, I helped younger students improve their tap steps, ballet technique, and flexibility. Recently, I have taken up slacklining as a hobby. I can teach you how to walk forwards and backwards on a slackline, and some tricks. My instagram: @d.slacks has aquired over 400 followers in the past 4 days. Check it out to see what I can do, and I will teach you!
I recently graduated with my Bachelor’s of Science in Interior Design and have skills in Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign, AutoCAD, Revit, and Space Planning. I would be happy to share these skills with anyone interested in learning these programs. I can be of special help to anyone interested in pursuing Interior Design as a career.
As a hobby in high school, I did jewelry design. I specialize in creating scrabble tile, glass tile, and bottle cap necklaces. I will give you a class in how to make these. They make great gifts and selling these became a very profitable hobby for me in high school.
