"Rafeh is the greatest instructor you could have. He walked me through every step and taught me. He also showed me how to learn python on my own time when
he is not teaching me. Most other instructors before him would probably have just given me code and never taught me. Then they would ask for more money to do another lesson. However, Rafeh shows me courses and websites that would teach me how to learn deeper into Python. Most other instructors out there would probably just keep me in the dark about those websites, so I would become dependent on them."

I'm a graduate of UCLA School of Engineering with a B.S. in Aerospace Engineering. I have a passion for explaining how the physical world works through math and physics along with 9 years of tutoring experience in those subjects, test prep, and mentorship programs. The teaching strategy I believe in emphasizes subject fundamentals, a powerful and necessary tool for higher problem solving. This strategy has proven very effective regardless of the student's educational background or mental ability. Besides being knowledgeable, I am motivating, caring, and patient in guiding your
student to academic success!
Executive Functioning is a separate realm that tutoring can assist in. It deals with cognitive processes including organization, time management, and study skills. Much of the difficulty students face in academic subjects can be attributed to the lack of executive functioning. They either cannot keep up with the pace and workload that advanced courses demand or haven't figured out the best way to study for themselves. I am able to assess students' shortcomings and formulate a plan for higher achievement.

Great tutor! Very friendly, very knowledgable, very helpful... Would highly recommend!
Hi everyone! I've been teaching in a variety of areas for many years in many different respects. I teach voice lessons, and audition coaching. I've been doing that for a long time! During my "day-job" years, I was an analyst, and I'm especially skilled with Microsoft Excel. And I LOVE teaching people how to make magic on that program. I have done projects that included creating databases, training departments on the use of said databases, taught entire departments at Jet Propulsion Laboratory how to migrate to Microsoft Outlook from (the archaic) Eudora.
My musical talents run parallel wit
h my affinity for numbers. In my life, it has manifested in music composition, arranging, and musical direction. And, of course, PERFORMANCE! I've performed in and around the Los Angeles area for many years. I own a professional Christmas Caroling company that I direct and sing in as well. So I'm a performer, and a small business owner! So come see what I can offer!

I thought I was pretty good at excel! Well, Judi was able to show me that I was only using 10% of my Excel brain. I had NO idea what I could do with Excel to make my life easier until I learned from Judi. I'm sure I will be using her again! Thanks!!!

I hadn't had a voice lesson in more than 15 years, but in one session Judi got me prepped for an audition by helping me to determine range, song selection & presentation. Who says you can't circle back on a dream? Judi gave me the confidence to do just that.
Hello! My name is Gordon L. and I would love to help you or your child discover your passions and work towards reaching any academic or artistic goals!
Born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii, I am fortunate to have had an exceptional academic foundation. I attended Punahou School K-12 earning high marks and went on to graduate college from the University of California, Berkeley. I have a variety of expertise and tutoring experience in these subjects:
- Computer Programming - Math - Chinese - Humanities - SAT
Outside of school, I have also always been an artist and hobbyist, heavily i
nvesting myself in various forms of creative expression including:
- Dance (hip-hop/urban) - Photography (DSLR, Lightroom/Photoshop) - Card magic/Card flourishes (look it up :P)
Over the years, I have found that my enthusiasm for both people and learning different things greatly enriches my life and those around me. If you're looking for someone who can introduce you to a variety of subjects, I'm your guy. I love learning about anything and everything and hope to encourage others to explore their passions. Furthermore, though my interests are many and varied, I have also committed years into training, have a solid grasp on their principles, and can confidently say that I am a qualified expert. I look forward to meeting you and helping you learn with me!

But to keep it short in case you don't have the time to read this novel you can find samples of my work and test projects at:
an.pixmedia.io (Bootstrap Projects) https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ionicframework.myapp100339090 (App I deployed on the Play Store for Android) http://livecoding.tv/emag50 (A developer stream site where I give live tutorials and work on real life projects)
My goal is to gauge my students skill level, from absolute beginner to intermediate, assess, then provide feedback and suggestions on the most effecient way you can develop your skills. I might be holding hands step by step at the beginning but I will do my best to ensure that you retain that knowledge naturally.
The reason why I signed up for this site is that I feel like I can convey what it is I'm trying to teach very efficiently. And I just simply love to talk tech and if I can have a student learn something they can take for the rest of their life then it's 10/10 worth it!
So if you're more interested in the functional side of front end development, I can definitely help witht that. And if you have more interest in the front face of a webpage and designing it, I can also assist with that teaching CSS and HTML5. Web development is a very flexible aspect of application technology when it comes to design, meaning you can make a webpage do or look exactly as you want given the right tools and knowledge.
As a web developer you want to establish your own unique style of building, especially if you're more intersted in the HTML5 and CSS design aspect of web design since that is what most users first notice when viewing a website. I like my websites to be something I made. It's much more rewarding and you gain more attention from the development community that way, which is also a plus :)
Anyways if you've made it this far reading my novel then you have the patience of a Saint! And yet there's still so much more I haven't mentioned since I'm running out of space here. I absolutely did not make this short like I planned. Too tough :P
