I am offering engaging lessons for adults or young adults who want to start or continue their study of music! I've been teaching for several years in the Denver area as well as online, covering everything from learning how to strum a guitar through advanced contemporary and jazz theory. Some subjects I've explored with my students include: Reading chord charts, Site reading; sheet music, Classical music, Jazz & Pop Standards, Improvisation, Groove & keeping time, Jamming with other musicians, Songwriting and composition, Music production software (GarageBand, Logic Pro) Everyone has a unique musical style, and the ways in which we learn music are just as diverse! I'm an expert at understanding what my students want to get out of music, and I can help you get to where you want to be musically by basing our lessons around the songs and ideas that you want to learn. Review the topics on the CLEP College Composition or UExcel English Composition exams, such as source materials, writing conventions, and essay revision methods. Schedule a lesson to get the best score possible on the exams and potentially earn three college credits.

I have a degree from Berklee College of Music in Film Scoring and Piano. Film Scores have been a passion of mine since I was about twelve years old and have collected numerous film soundtracks over the years. I am also knowledgeable in Classical, Pop and Rock, commercial sounding composition. I'll go over famous Classical/ Film composers, pop artists, rock music, and their music by reviewing Youtube videos and sheet music. Be prepared to have some music note paper, score paper, a piano or keyboard and let's have some fun!

During the first session we will strategically plan how to best reach their goals. We will learn more effectively and efficiently because we will have fun during our sessions and discover true joy and learning.

My pedagogy centers on connecting what music is heard in the students mind and giving him/her the tools and techniques to express the music. I use techniques that draw on ear training focused on connecting natural human feelings to sounds we hear.
