Great Teacher!

One of my sons has been taking guitar classes and singing classes from Mr. Phil for the last two years and both of my sons have taken his theater class. Mr. Phil is an excellent teacher, great with kids, lots of fun and a great musician. We have been very happy with his teaching.

Awesome Teacher!!!

Phil is an awesome guitar teacher. He is very knowledgeable and uses my musical interests and reasons for learning (the guitar) to aid in teaching. He is able to adapt and meet me at my level yet pushes me to excel and reach my potential. I am always excited for every lesson!

I signed up my 8 year old daughter for acting lessons with Laura. At first it was just to have her get some extra help for a school play, but once the play ended I stuck with the lessons (my daughter loved it). Overall I have nothing bad to say - my kid loves her and acting!
At first I went through this site, but found it easier to just schedule them with Laura directly after a while. The website is too difficult when it comes to bookings, I rather deal with the instructor themselves. Plus, I saved some money by doing it that way too.

I cannot rave about Laura enough! I was skeptical when I first signed my daughter up for acting lessons, especially seeing how pricey they were going to be, but it was completely worth it. My daughter looks forward to her lesson each week, and has even requested that I extend her half hour lesson to an hour.

My daughter has always been very shy, but recently opened up a lot through these lessons. Not just with acting, but at home, with her peers and academically. As a parent, it is wonderful to see that happen.

Laura has been on time to each and every lesson (if not early), and was always prepared with a lesson for the day. She is very informative and knowledgeable on the subject matter (she has covered some Shakespeare as well as contemporary plays), but more importantly for my daughter - she keeps it fun.

If you decide to sign up for acting lessons, experienced or not, go with Laura! As my daughter says, "she's really cool."

"I've worked with Lydia for many many years, and with her 15+ years of acting/stage experience you CANNOT go wrong with Lydia Jane Dramatics. Whether you have an audition and can't seem to pick the right monologue, need to nail down a character/personality for a show you're in, or just need help figuring out what to do with your hands (a la Talladega Nights) Lydia is your gal. She's willing to work with you for ANYTHING you may need to prepare for stage or screen at an unbeatable price. Lydia Jane Dramatics is a no-brainer.

I have enjoyed my lessons with Ashley because:

1. Pace of instruction is perfect for my level (beginner) and available practice time (limited).
2. Ashley isn't simply teaching me how to play a song; rather she is improving my technique in this critical period where bad habits can still be changed.
3. Always on time (granted instruction is at her location but none the less this is appreciated).

About RC

Hello to my new student! I'm looking forward to meeting you, and to work with you in the subject area you're eager to learn, and need to improve in! I'm a qualified teacher of many years (!!), with a BA in English Literature from Colby College [a small school in the middle of Maine on top of a hill that you've likely never seen!]. I've been around the world twice (!!), lived in five foreign countries (you can ask me when we meet!) and speak French fairly well. Before going to Colby College---where I did a lot of Theater too! and music!----I went to six years of boarding school (!!)--where, despite the name, I was not bored . . . .! It was fun too. Looking forward to hearing from you. +RC
