Jenny W.

Charlotte, NC

Meryl Streep said, “Acting is not about being someone different. It’s finding the similarity in what is apparently different, then finding myself in there.” Acting is an honest exploration of self. Beyond memorizing lines and finding your place on set or stage, acting IS honesty. Your private lessons with me will allow you the freedom and trust to find yourself in the role you seek. These lessons will bring you closer to yourself and therefore closer to being the actor you wish to be.

I haven't acted in years and felt very self-conscious about getting back into it. Jenny listened to why I wanted to start again, what my ultimate goals are, and assured me she would guide me as far as she could. She made me feel at ease almost immediately, and has been the best acting coach I have ever had. When I find myself struggling with a certain character or monologue, she doesn't judge or get irritated. She knows exactly what to say and tweak to make me get it perfect. She's so supportive of where I want to go and has not made me feel like I'm aiming for something completely out of my reach. She listens and shows that she cares, not only about our lessons, but personally as well. I feel very fortunate to have found her and would not leave her for anyone else. She's guided me to alternate acting seminars, which I have registered for, and with her lessons, I feel ready to take this new opportunity on. I wouldn't have been this confident 6 weeks ago. Thanks to her, I not only feel better at acting, but I feel more confident in my every day life. I highly recommend everyone look into her classes and give her a chance. She's the best!

Joanna B.

Cornelius, NC

I have been working in this field for 25 years. I have worked in theater, commercials, voice over work, movies and television.

About Joanna

I had the starched, classic, traditional life once. And a successful business that made good money. On the outside it looked good. On the inside it felt like shallow routine. I wasn’t doing anything that mattered longterm, and eventually it shook me hard and swiftly to make sweeping changes in my life. ENTER LOVE + GRATITUDE I decided to get serious about designing my ideal life. I decided to take the leap to do something I absolutely loved: helping others pursue their passions in life. And it was the best decision of my life to date. Well, maybe the second best {my children will read this}. But you get the point. All things said, since entering the world of entrepreneurship more than fifteen years ago, the business of people has become a passion of mine. ENTER DESIGN + ...

Michael J.

Matthews, NC

I've been teaching acting, in one form or another, since 1980 - almost as long as I've been acting. During that time I've learned that simpler one acts, the more dynamic one is as an actor, and the less they have to "act." So my goal for my students is to be as dynamic as possible while going for their goal and be as simple, and clear, and concise as they possible can. Mind you, those qualities aren''t easy to achieve, but when they are, magic happens.

Join me in discovering that magic.

About Michael

Michaeln - Actor, Director, Fight Director, Teacher and Writer - made his career in his hometown, Washington, DC. He worked at the vast majority of the professional theatres there, including Arena Stage, Shakespeare Theatre Company, Woolly Mammoth (original company member), Ford’s Theater, Folger Theatre, Studio Theatre and The Kennedy Center. Regional theatre companies include Delaware Theatre Company, Riverside Theatre in Vero Beach, FL and Off Square Theatre Company (company member) in Jackson, WY. Michael holds the rank of Fight Director with the Society of American Fight Directors and Master Instructor with Dueling Arts International. Hie recently published his first novel - "The Sage Chronicles: Family Matters, Book 1" - an urban fantasy series, on Kindle and Nook. The second part ...
