Since the age of sixteen, she has been selected to sing as a guest soloist for venues such as Spivey Hall, Georgia World Congress Center, and Georgia Tech Hotel Conference Center. Ali has also sung for many movies and recordings, and recently recorded a demo for David Foster, Barbra Streisand, and Andrea Bocelli and recently toured as a pianist for "The Women of Ireland." As an active freelance oboist, lessons will include a shared balance between instrumental performance and reed-making technique. Expectations are consistently evaluated and discussed, so as to best match the student's personal and musical goals. Practice material is catered to the individual students needs and interests, of which often focuses on minimizing practice time by learning effective practice strategies. Lessons can be recorded so that the student (and/or parent) can revisit lesson highlights and further analyze the lesson's strengths and struggles.

When I started learning oboe at age 10 I was told by my band director that it was going to be too difficult and not worth the trouble.
