This was our first lesson and Shannon did a great job assessing my son's needs and teach him in a manner he could relate.

One of my favorite instruments to teach-- I often say that my specialty is convincing people that they should play double reed instruments! Generally seen as more of a challenge, double reeds like the oboe can be frustrating for beginners, but don't worry-- I can guide you through any troubles and help you learn this beautiful instrument.

Cory was a great teacher for our son who brought him a deep insight into this difficult instrument. We hope to have her back again. Thanks, Cory!

Sophia, my six year old, had her first lesson this evening with Matthew. He was extremely attentive and understood very quickly where she was level-wise and was able to tailor a lesson without hesitation. She really enjoyed her time and I think she got a lot out of it. She can't wait for next week.

He has higher expectations than her previous teacher and communicated them in a fun yet firm manner to my daughter. She left her first lesson with him with renewed spark for piano. He's a great fit for us.
