My first vocal teacher and the best!

Ms. Rachel was an amazing vocal teacher! We would always start off with simple and fun warm-ups, breathing techniques, and would practice singing songs from musicals. My first couple lessons she taught me how to sing I Feel Pretty from West Side Story and we both had so much fun with it! After a little while we learned Cups from Pitch Perfect and then we got into the Vaccai book and I learned a couple songs from there. Overall Ms. Rachel was the best! She even offered to Skype a lesson with me since she moved. She cared about me and always helped me improve my voice in every way she could. I love her!

About John Henry

*** Studio Equipment *** music room seating for parents *** Travel Equipment *** I would provide copies of some pages from the book. Just a need a guitar and quiet place to study. Also, parents should be present if the student is a minor. *** Specialties *** folk acoustic, electric blues, About Me I grew up in the South Bronx during the 70s and 80s. I understand the importance of community and how a neighborhood can be destroyed if the people do not get involved and work together for real solutions. Music and films were my salvation. I began to write songs and play guitar at the age of ten, and 15 years ago I started a band to raise the awareness level of teens and adults regarding the world around them. The band is called Glass of Know. The group had songs playing on ...

I have been a student of John for a few weeks now and I am amazed at the progress I have made under his instruction. I attempted to learn guitar about 15 years ago and after a few months of very little progress I got frustrated and quit. My experience under John has been a completely different experience and I couldn't be happier!

John is an amazing instructor and keeps inspiring me to reach for new heights in my musicianship and just life in general. I also had a pleasure of witnessing him in action as a film director and an actor - such a fun and easy person to work with, and highly professional! With his extensive experience and teaching ability, I believe he can work with the student of any level, while adjusting the pace to the student's needs. Highly recommend to any person who loves music, film, and arts in general.

A great experience!

I highly recommend Marni for voice lessons. She is an extremely talented teacher in both the mechanics and creative aspects of singing. Often, she explains concepts to me in a visual manner because it is familiar to me (I have experience in visual art). I'm amazed at how much I've improved my vocal range/quality in a short time, and how much more comfortable I feel when I sing (both physical comfort and improved confidence). Marni is a gifted artist who will help you find your unique singing voice.

Zlatomir M. Jersey City, NJ

I will teach you how to readily achieve truth with any performance and character. You will be a confident and skilled actor. My approach to acting is grounded in the System of Realism developed by Stanislavsky and furthered by his student Nikolai Demidov. Demidov was the first teacher to incorporate the scientific study of human psychology into our work on stage. I have been a teacher of the Demidov technique for three years and have been able to achieve fast results with students from beginner to advanced levels of experience. My strategy is individual, catering to the unique qualities and abilities of each student.

About Zlatomir

I am an acting teacher who has worked with students of all backgrounds and age groups-from elementary school all the way up to the graduate school level. I teach acting grounded in the Stanislavski System as well as clowning, physical comedy, and improv. I have experience with students who are interested in both theatre and camera work. I am also a voice and speech coach, specializing in the International Phonetic Alphabet which provides the fastest way to dialect/accent utilization. Having come from various levels of acting experience, my students have achieved fast results with the techniques that I teach. I have a Master's in Acting and Theatre Education and a BFA in Acting and was the resident acting instructor for the Ringling College of Art and Design-one of the Top 25 Film ...

I had the joy of attending Zlat's acting class at Ringling College, from the beginning he hit the ground running. We were from all the different disciplines of our school (CA, Game art, Illustration, Film and many others ) but we experienced the craft of acting all together. By the end of it, we all cared for our growth and performances with conviction and sincerity.

Thank you, Zlat.

I took Zlatomir's Acting class at Ringling college last year and it was an incredible experience. From someone who comes from a theatre and acting background and who is currently working as a film director, the class continued to intrigue and educate me week to week.

Most classes are just repetitive after you've taken a dozen or so, but not with Zlat. He makes the class very personal and focuses it on you. He brings his knowledge from the Asolo into the classroom and makes everyday worth while.

I HIGHLY recommend Zlatomir to anyone who is looking to take their acting to the next level. And you won't just gain a teacher with his class, you will also gain a great friend.

As a parent of a 20-year-old college student at the Ringling School of Art and Design ,I would like to comment that my son was both deeply affected and inspired by his acting teacher Zlatomir.
As a student studying film with a mild interest in acting he verbalized to me how one class with Zlatomir has added more to his Toolchest as a filmmaker and aspiring actor than any other acting teacher he had previously studied under .
Anyone that could inspire my son to such a great extent ,I'm certain is worthy as an acting teacher!

Robert S. Belleville, NJ

What to expect with from an acting private with me: Finding the truth in the character! In order to be a successful actor you need to strip those bad stage habits, know everything there is to know about a character, find the truth in all of your actions on stage and naturally and truthfully tell a story. Stanislavski once said "Acting is behaving truthfully under imaginary circumstances. I believe acting is simply "living". The art is knowing how to put it on stage or in front of the camera.

About Robert

My name is Robert, but my students call me Robbie! I was born & raised in Belleville, New Jersey (home of the Jersey Boys!), where I started singing, dancing & acting at the age of twelve. I am a proud alumnus of The American Musical & Dramatic Academy, where I received a degree in Musical Theatre. My studies also include programs at the Academy of Cinema and Television, New York Film Academy, Papermill Playhouse and Broadway Dance Center. I have professional experience in Musical Theatre and Film. I have also choreographed children's shows such as Stage Fright, The Addams Family and Dog Fight! I have taught musical theatre and dance theatre intensive programs, theatre summer camps and dance classes (including ballet, jazz, tap and theatre dance). I am also a certified tumbling ...

Top 5 Wildest Method Acting Techniques in Hollywood History
If you've ever watched an actor disappear into their role, shedding genuine tears or adopting mannerisms that aren't their own, then you've seen method acting techniques in action.
