Nathan R. Windsor Mill, MD

I focus equally on fundamentals, tone production, proper air support, intonation and technique.

About Nathan

I have been teaching private lessons for close to 10 years and have been an active performer for even longer, playing in all different types of groups, from rock bands and jazz groups to orchestras and brass bands. I studied music at Frostburg State University (Bachelors) and the Peabody Conservatory (Masters). I can teach just about any age and skill level and cover anything you are interested in learning; whether its a certain style, genre, technique or song. *** Lesson Details *** My lessons are laid back, with a focus on perfecting the basics. Most students work out of a method book appropriate to their skill level. Aside from that we'll also spend time learning songs and pieces of the students choice. With the right amount of effort, you'll know your way around your instrument

Great Teacher

Nathan is a great teacher. I had always wanted to learn the bass guitar and had zero experience. He has a great feeling for music and teaches it very well. I really have enjoyed my lessons.

About Erika

Since I was in sixth grade, the french horn has dictated my life. It has taken me to three continents, earned me a full scholarship to a Top Ten Dream School (USC), and taught me many valuable skills that extend beyond music making. I absolutely love teaching and passing along the information that has made me successful. *** Lesson Details *** My teaching philosophy is that music making should always be a positive experience. I work with students on their personal goals and create practice plans that work with their individual lifestyles. My biggest focuses as an instructor are: Efficient, effective practice techniques Developing solid fundamental technique Setting goals and creating plans to accomplish them For students who are interested in preparing for competitions, I ...

Jeremiah N. Rockville, MD

I've been teaching horn for 5 years and my students have gone on to place in district and state festivals at the high school level. Within the first few lessons, you'll be able to really understand how the instrument works and as time goes on you'll be able to understand how to make the instrument work for you. I specialize in private lessons for special needs students, or students who have autism. I love working with students of all ages and experience levels and I can't wait to meet you!

About Jeremiah

I have been working in education for almost ten years. I have worked in a variety of different formats, experiential education, substituting, long-term substituting, special education classrooms, autism focused classrooms, and now, as a teaching intern.
