For beginner vocalists, there are small changes you make to your technique that will make a big difference in your singing voice. In this welcoming online singing class, you’ll receive basic but highly effective vocal tips--including breathing techniques and body movements--to instantly improve your singing voice. Get ready for a fun, engaging class.
Note: Please have headphones available so you can hear your instructor and classmates well. Also, please log in to class in a quiet place where you can participate (sing) if you'd like.
What You'll Cover:
Thursday June 1st : Learn more about how your vocal tract generates sound, clear up misconceptions and play with vocal exercises.
Thursday June 8th: Focus on how the breath is related to the voice and what to do to stop fighting for it.
Thursday June 15th: We'll learn how singer's break down a song's melody to enable your voice to sing it.
Thursday June 22nd: Focus on using the learned skills to energize a more relaxed physical demeanor. Optional: bring the lyrics to a verse and chorus of a song you know well and perform for class!
