I offer guided meditation and deep relaxation as part of a developing yogi's practice, or simply on it's own. Options for meditation include restorative yoga and meditation, Reiki and meditation, sitting meditation, guided meditation to music, or seated meditation in silence. My space is designed to offer optimum comfort. Aromatherapy is incorporated unless otherwise specified. I have 12 years of meditation experience, and can help you get started in your meditation practice as well as assist you with any concerns or issues with your current practice.
Are you looking for more "calm" and clarity in your life? Do you want to relax more AND strengthen your attention? Or perhaps, you want to become more adept at working gently/skillfully with feelings and emotions, and learn to follow your intuition. Whatever your desire, you can find more peace, balance and genuine self-knowledge through working with the practice of meditation.
I have studied and practiced mindfulness-awareness meditation in the Shambhala Buddhist tradition for 11+ years. Currently, I teach beginning meditation instruction, open house talks and contemplative arts programs/weekends, as a member of the Baltimore Shambhala Meditation Center.
In the last 6 years, I have also studied and practiced Reiki, intuitive/energetic healing, and astrology extensively. Depending on the interest and needs of the student, I can draw on and incorporate any of these modalities.
You will be guided through basic breathing, gentle movement, and meditation practices. Instructor is there to be your guide, support you, and share your experiences with.
I have practiced Zen meditation for years. I am also trained in vipassana (mindfulness) meditation. When a person can sit still and turn their attention inward, they become more aware. Increased awareness can lead to insights, as well as contribute to a peaceful mind. Meditation can seem hard if you do not feel you're doing it "right." A bit of guidance can reassure you. Having someone there to answer questions can be very helpful. I'd like to support anyone who wishes to meditate.
