Learning to play the piano with both hands is key to progressing in your studies. I am a pianist and singer who started learning to play the piano at age 6, and I love teaching all students of all experience levels. Professionally, I have worked with different theater and opera companies as a lead actor and as a musician. I have also worked in many different church positions as a musician and singer. I have many years of teaching experience with piano at all experience levels.

I teach how to read music, understand the theory behind the music, and the technique needed in a patient atmosphere at the pace of the student. I also teach you how the piano works and the different types of pianos as well as the history of keyboards used for different classical music. The lessons are geared toward the goals of the student no matter what level is desired. I can't wait to work with you!

I have always been fascinated with how music is created and who works behind the scenes of performances and recordings. I started playing the flute in elementary school, piano in junior high school, and singing in high school. I have been teaching for over ten years now. Working with students both in person and online has been amazing. With online lessons I am able to work with students who love the convenience of being at home and in person I can show students what it is like to really grow! I love my students of all ages, and can only hope to show others how amazing music can be. I have worked with a handful of students with special needs and am comfortable teaching in a non-traditional style. I am currently preparing to complete my certification in music therapy. Those who can do teach, and those who can teach totally do!

I hold a Bachelors from Musicians Institute and other accomplished degrees from American Musical Dramatic Academy to conclude my quest for vocal excellence and the ability to sing in multiple languages ( English, Spanish, Japanese and Italian) I have been lucky enough to study with some of the top teachers in the country and now I bring the experience I have gained directly to you!
My passion for multiple languages and love of music is the desire driving me to share the gifts for teaching young children to open the door to their own musical abilities and hidden language gifts.

I have been teaching students for six years. People aren't intimidated when I am around and I believe students benefit greatly when they are comfortable with the teacher and can feel natural around them. The teaching process is most successful when the students share their ideas, disagreements, goals; when they are challenged and test their abilities. I can't wait to work with you!

Johan here and I love music! I have been involved in music since I was just a child. It started with learning piano, then guitar, ukulele, mandolin, harmonica, djembe and so many more. I’ve continued to learn and perfect my craft by being apart of different types of bands from small to large with varying genres of music. I also formalized my music education with a bachelor of Art in Music. Did I mention I’m also quite a harmonizer? Sign up today and maybe I’ll throw in some tips with your instrument lesson.

We just had our first lesson and Philip was great. Connected with my son and explained things in a very understandable way. Good balance between theory and practical exercises. Also was excellent at communicating with me prior to the lesson to learn more about my son and introduce himself.

Phillip is a great teacher! He customizes his approach to what you need and gives you exercises to practice at home between lessons (going out of his way)!
