I am a tutor who earned a music teaching degree, substitute taught, and didn't become a school teacher. I held professional tech retail jobs and am supplementing my life with my passion - education.

Whatever subject or instrument I teach, I celebrate students' successes; and I enjoy helping learners have new aha moments.

The majority of my students take guitar, bass guitar, or Spanish lessons. I am an educator and help my students learn other skills and knowledge sets too.

I went to Ohio State University for college, earned a BA in Music Education, and graduated Cum Laude. I also spent 4 years in the Ohio State University Marching Band.

Through my healing journey, I've developed patience, insight, and understanding for my students' learning processes.

I'm excited to help you incorporate new skills into your life!

Our son first time playing bassoon. Base on my son experience, he find Joshua to be very nice, patients, and explains a lot of information. It help him understand about the instrument and the sound when he play. He do have a sense of humor which help my son to have fun and be more comfortable. He also teaches other instruments, too. Highly recommended to everyone!!!!

About Me:

I work extremely well with people of all ages and absolutely love to teach. My full time job is training employees how to use software and computers. On my luckier days, I get to share my love and passion for volleyball!

Overall, I’ve been playing for 16 years and coaching for over 8 years. I started playing in grade school onto competitively at the collegiate level. I am active in the volleyball community and now play recreationally in tournaments and leagues.

I have coaching experience with middle school, high school Junior Varsity, Varsity as well as club volleyball. I started coaching in 2011 and quickly learned that introducing this sport to a younger age group is as challenging as it is enjoyable. Working with kids truly sparks joy in my life!

Back to the serious stuff....I have my American Cross CPR, First-A
id, NFHS Concussion, NFHS Coaching certificates and I’ve attended a handful of Volleyball clinics here in WA and CA over the years. I became a member of Puget Sound USA Volleyball and recently volunteered as a volleyball coach for the USA Special Olympic Games 2018.

At the end of the day, I seek opportunities to transfer my knowledge to others and always hope to make a difference.

Lesson Details:

Before and after each activity I like taking the time to explain and answer questions because it's important for athletes to learn how to properly execute drills as well as understand the concepts behind what they are doing. A typical session will be customized to the athlete’s goals. I will provide detailed instructions, a quick demo, and then have the athlete briefly practice perfecting their form by themselves and get some repetitions in. Next, they will nail down some drills with me focusing on footwork and ball control. Last but not least, they will work with other players and perform in team environment. Before moving onto the next lesson, there will be opportunities to ask questions. Afterwards, athletes will be given extra resources such as videos, write-ups, at-home drills they can practice, and workouts/activities to try on their own time to try to target and strengthen muscles needed.

Online lessons are convenient and can be a fun and interactive way to learn from the comfort of your own home. Athletes are given the private and dedicated attention they need to improve through the use of training videos. The cost is of course lower as well - please message me for more details.

WELCOME DANCERS!

Meet your dance instructor. I have my bachelors degree from Chapman University in Theatre & Dance. My training includes Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Modern, Folk Dance, Dance History, Hip-Hop, Musical Theatre, Improv, and Kinesiology, among other dance-related subjects.

I grew up in a small Illinois town. Lessons were few and far between, so I would copy dancing off of movies and videos in order to perform at local dances, or for other community events. As a youth, I took country line dancing classes. Always drawn to anything involving dance and movement, I auditioned and performed with a Disney Showcase Troupe. By high school, I was choreographing for the Show Choir, as well as, performing in theatrical productions, including the musical “The Wizard of Oz”.

Before graduating with my Bachelor’s degree in Theatre & Danc
e from Chapman University in Orange, California, I continued my study of many dance styles & techniques such as: Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Modern, Hip Hop, Ballroom, Dunham Technique, yoga/stretch, Dance Business & History. From 1996-2001 I performed a variety of dancing and singing roles in showcases and events such as “American Celebration” and “The Story of Rock n’ Roll”. While studying at Chapman, I accepted a position as historian, and eventually, vice president of the performing arts society (PASC).

When I wasn’t onstage, I could be found backstage working lights, sound, costuming, or stage management. I searched out other educational opportunities at Cypress College and the Taggart International School where I studied West African dance and Russian Ballet Technique. After performing a liturgical dance performance for my graduation ceremony, I toured the United States and a portion of Canada, researching dance around the world. This eventually led me to Jacmel, Haiti, where I studied cultural and social dances of the local people. After that I took up Bellydance and studied folk dancing in Chicago, Illinois.

Since 2001, I have taught classes for all ages from infants to adults. I have also studied child development and have a special love for bringing an adoration of the arts to the youngest artists in our communities. It is imperative that all my teachings highlight body positivity and the belief that everyone can dance. A life-long learner and dance aficionado, I continue my dance studies in Ballroom, Baroque Dance, and Scottish Country Dance. My influences include Isadora Duncan, Katherine Dunham, Sean Greene & Misty Copeland. I love being a part of the DA Dance Family.

She is very approachable and I could not have ever asked for a better Cheer Coach for my kids. They are now adults and still keep in contact with her. i would recommend her to anyone who wants to put their child into Cheer.

Mrs. Monica taught me for about 5 or 6 years and she was my absolute favorite instructor I have had! The routines were cute and fun to learn, as well as perform. Monica cared about each of her students, got to know each of them very well, and wanted to see them do the best they could while still having fun. I love Monica and know whoever she teaches will love her, too!

About Emily
Hi! I'm a dance, circus, and fitness professional. I have spent my entire life in the dance world, training vigorously in several different ballet institutions. After graduating with a major in ballet from the Walnut Hill School of the Arts in Massachusetts, I received my BFA in dance from the University of Cincinnati's College-Conservatory of Music, where I began to find an interest in fitness and earned my Pilates teacher certification. I later earned my personal training certification from the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) and worked as a group fitness instructor and personal trainer. In addition to finding a passion for fitness, I was drawn to the circus world and began training contortion and aerial arts.

I currently work as a company dancer with Ballet Florida, a contemporary company, and perform as a contortionist
locally and internationally. I teach modern, ballet, pointe, and contemporary dance classes and train groups and individuals for flexibility and strength training.

For flexibility training, I focus on both static and active flexibility to effectively improve range of motion (not just sitting in a stretch for several minutes at a time). Contortion lessons also available for students who have reached a good foundation in flexibility and strength.

About Daisha
As a Washington State native - I am all about the outdoors, living a healthy lifestyle and adventure. My interests and experiences are what makes me who I am today - a traveler and a yogi. I love meeting new people! Learning about their lives and what makes them who they are as well. Making these connections and relationships through out our lives is what makes it interesting.

I have done many solo travels around the world and every time better than the last. Having the space to detach from normal life and have a new experience is the greatest gift.

As yogis, the students understand this gift - we understand having a space for your practice physically and mentally is a tool we can use to our advantage. Cleansing our body and mind. For those who have not yet had their first yoga class this is something to look forward too! As you practi
ce more and incorporate mediation, self-study and other aspects you will find your peace.

Being a instructor is important to me because I feel everyone has a the opportunity to life a long healthy life and if they want to do so with yoga; then I am proud to be the one teaching! Taking the time for the mental practice is just as important as the physical practice, being a yogi is a way of life and I find it so beautiful.

I would love to help any future student of mine to find their own yogic path. Whether it be just having a nice flow once a week or if you want to learn some new asanas (poses), about The Yoga Sutras or begin meditating - I am able and happy to help!
