I started gymnastics when I was about 8 years old, and have been practicing the sport and teaching it ever since.

In my opinion anyone could go to there local gymnastics gym and learn how to engage in basic gymnastics, and that's alright, the problem with that is that you'll be learning basics from an expert who normally teaches children and teens who are in a unique physical position to learn quickly. I've been to gymnastics gym and I've learned from experts in my youth and it was rewarding, to an extent. Initially, however, I thought myself most of the basics of gymnastics, from back hand springs to back tucks, with little to no supervision. While this isn't something I recommend, I know it puts me in a unique position to help beginners because of my past struggles and failures, and an expertly trained gymnast will most likely have trouble relating to any adult beginner student. Having taught many friends and fellow athletes/soldiers in my life who were interested, I am comfortable with all phases of the learning process within gymnastics. I can even offer cross training in free running/parkour
