Rachel was an excellent instructor and took the time to help me learn Spanish the way I wanted to learn. I was more interested in learning Spanish through reading a Spanish/English Bible, news articles and through song lyrics than just a text book. Text books can be so boring! If you want to learn Spanish in fun and creative ways Rachel would be a great tutor!

She is a great tutor who can genuinely help you and give you good advice on the subject. She knows what she is teaching and she has the knowledge to teach you. I felt better about my subjects after tutoring. I am so thankful to her for helping me!

Here is a revision on my last review on Racheal. Racheal is a great teacher that can teach all subjects. She taught me on all of my subjects to date and I got good grades on all of them and I will still continue to have Racheal teach me for my school online courses. When you need a teacher to teach you or your family and friends please do not hesitate to have Racheal teach all of you and Racheal is worth every penny that she charges. Racheal is the greatest teacher ever to help me. Rico
John R. Astoria, NY

I have played soccer with players at every level (beginner, intermediate, h.s., college, and professional) and am extremely knowledgeable/skilled in the game. I enjoy teaching it to students at every level.

About John

My name is John R. and I'm an experienced teacher/tutor. In addition to my eight years working as a teacher at a private school here in NY, I have tutored many students in subjects ranging from math, science, social studies, reading, and writing, to arts (piano, guitar) and even athletics (I've played both basketball & soccer at a high level). I'm very familiar with common- core curriculum, but I also try to gear my teaching towards an individual's particular skills and education history. Also, while in graduate school I tutored several undergraduate students in philosophy and psychology. Finally, I spend a lot of time working with autistic individuals and its something that is very close to my heart. I adhere to the principles of ABA and am fully capable of working with any ...

When my son started soccer at age five, he really struggled and didn't enjoy the game the way I'd hoped. Within a few months of working with Jack (John) though, hes become one of the better players on the team and even made the local travel team. Best of all, though, he really seems to enjoy playing now and seems confident out on the field!

John truly understands the game and was able to teach all the basic skills to my son. Unfortunately, due to a recent move I was unable to continue with the lessons. I think he is a very good teacher though.

Been playing soccer since I was 5. Played all the way through college. I was also a soccer referee from high school through college. I can teach and explain the fundamentals, as well as the more abstract concepts of strategy inherent in "the beautiful game."

About Paul

While attending the University of Southern California, where I received my M.F.A., I worked as a writing tutor in the USC Writing Center and also taught Classical Greek Mythology. After graduation, I taught Verbal, Writing and Literature SAT classes and worked as a private tutor in a variety of subjects. I later taught for five years at the New York Film Academy in Universal City, CA, where I taught a variety of Critical Studies classes to various levels of students, some in certificate programs and others working towards their M.F.A. As a former English and Spanish double major, I have always enjoyed teaching at various levels. Most of my other work these days involves the writing and editing of short stories, screenplays and novels. You’ll find that I have the education, ...

Paul was my favorite teacher at the New York Film Academy.
Unlike most of the teachers, Mr. Paul put a lot of effort and creativity into planning his classes, which made them both stimulating and fun for us.
I also loved the fact that Mr. Paul always respected our opinions, and never made us feel stupid when we didn’t understand something. He was always very encouraging and willing to keep explaining until we got it.

I highly recommend him to anyone interested in extra lessons. He is definitely worth it!

I have had the pleasure of taking several classes from Gil; Illustrator, Advanced Photoshop, 3D Modeling to name a few. As an older student in classrooms full of younger students, I can certainly recommend Gil's ability to teach any age group. He has the patience to walk students through techniques and procedures despite any lack of skill. At the same time, he is quick to challenge those students who skillfully grasp concepts and are ready to move on. The atmosphere he provides is warm and encouraging. There are so many techniques I am continue to use thanks to Gil's instruction!

During my time at Norco College, I had the pleasure of taking quite a few classes with Gil. I'm not know to be the best kind of student, I don't do well in classroom structures, but Gil's class was one of the few I was able to stay focused and do well in.

He has a great way of teaching that actually allows you to learn and have fun at the same time. He knows what he is doing and that shows, plus instead of just telling us to read this chapter or go to this page and follow the instructions, he will be more hands on and show us what to do and where to go and he did his best to help each student individually and help push their limits to make some amazing pieces of work.

I've learned a lot and still use a lot of the techniques from those classes, definitely the best teacher I ever had to date. So take it from me, if you get the chance to ever have Gil as a teacher, don't pass it up.

I have actually taken quite a few classes that were taught by Gil. I always have found him to be a super helpful teacher and always looked forward to going to his classes because the atmosphere always felt really warm to me, especially compared to a lot of other classes I have taken; he really wants to help students learn. I really like his teaching techniques, which involves more teaching from experience than “here have a book follow these step-by-step instructions.” Everything I have taken away from Gil’s classes has helped me become much more efficient, as well as a better artist. I’d recommend him as a teacher to anyone.

I am a professional soccer player with tons of experience that I am willing to share with anybody. Teaching soccer is a privilege.

My goal is to make the student happy after leaving the session for knowing a lot more than he/she did before the session.

My strategy is to create an imaginary bridge between my brain and the student's brain where information flow back and forth (questions and answers) until the student becomes fully aware of the subject and be confident to even teach it to someone else. The subject would be a second nature to the student.

About Mustafa

Graduated in May 2014 with a BS in Biology. Since I was a Pre-Med major, I am very experienced with many sciences such as chemistry, biology, math, physics, etc. I have a talent at teaching. I am capable of passing on the knowledge to any person and have him/her leave with the smile of knowing a new knowledge.

Cheyenne is a former employee of mine at a Huntington Learning Center. She worked as an ACT and SAT tutor. I found her to be outstanding in her knowledge of the content and the test structure. More importantly, she is the type of individual who has a knack for finding ways to explain things in meaningful ways to students of all capacities. She always found a way to convey material in interesting, relatable ways to her students and always kept them engaged.

Cheyenne and I really connected... we're more than just a tutor and a student, we're friends... but she still teaches me a lot and knows how to be both a tutor and a friend, which is what I need. So many tutors are SO dry and boring but Cheyenne is not. Before working with Cheyenne I worked with 3 other tutors, and she is the first one that actually helped me improve my ACT score, because I can actually stay awake when she's talking.

I am really a smart person, I just didn't do my homework and failed Chemistry last year. I came to Cheyenne to retake it and she helped me pass it with an A! I was really having trouble understanding stoichiometry and organic chemistry but Cheyenne was really good at teaching it and now I totally get it.
