About Patrick

I have been learning and teaching music for twenty-five years and have enjoyed every minute of it. I am always listening to and learning something new and different. I listen to all genres of music and I become a better musician everyday because of this. Listen! Listen! Listen! Play! Play! Play. I have come to find that "jazz definitely helps with my "rock chops!" I listen to these Musicians "just to name a few" and they all influence my style. I do add to my list often. Wes Montgomery, Michel Legrand, Sting, Marron 5, Chopin Jimmy Hendrix, Mozart, Beethoven, Michael Jackson, Mike Stern, Thelonious Monk, Burt Bachrach, Elton John Scotty Anderson, Billy Joel, Norman Brown Mark Whitfield John McLaughlin George Benson John Lee Hooker Neal Schon Stevie Ray Vaughn Al di ...

Seth F. Provo, UT

I've been playing basketball since I was 13 years old. Dedicated to the fundamentals of off-hand dribbling, shooting, driving, defense, movement, and style!

About Seth

Hello! My name is Seth. I'm currently enrolled in the College of Business at the University of Utah. I began playing guitar when I was 15 after my dad suggested I pick up his old Takamine. I immediately started teaching myself the chords in the back of a instruction book. I am completely self taught however, throughout my 10 years of playing I've picked up new techniques, skills and song repertoire from the many musicians I've met. I spent 4 years working at Bert Murdock Music in Orem, UT where I learned guitar maintenance and repair from a master luthier. I've played in bands both in Utah and Texas where my parents live. I am a songwriter. There is no better instrument to accompany the voice than the guitar! I learned to sing as a boy when I joined the Colorado

Guitar
Skillful Teacher who Works Hard

Seth is an amazing guitar teacher! My sons, Malcolm and Ian–ages 10 and 15, both take guitar lessons from Seth. He is fun and imaginative each lesson. The progress my kids are making makes me smile. If you want to learn guitar, you better call Seth!

Learning on what YOU need to learn. Your weaknesses are improved and strengths outlined and advanced. To do classes in my home- I have a cat and dog- so be alerted to allergies. Must be able to walk up stairs.

Great teacher of all things!

I'm taking piano/voice privately from Mary. I wanted to learn opera and then she showed me how important music theory is to work on your voice. I'm in my mid 40s and thought I never could learn all this complicated stuff- but Mary makes it so fun and easy and motivates me. I and my friend took ballroom dancing from her too. She has great prices and spends alot of overtime . Very generous and experienced!

John R. Astoria, NY

I have played competitive basketball since childhood and I am particularly skilled in ball control as well as shooting.

About John

My name is John R. and I'm an experienced teacher/tutor. In addition to my eight years working as a teacher at a private school here in NY, I have tutored many students in subjects ranging from math, science, social studies, reading, and writing, to arts (piano, guitar) and even athletics (I've played both basketball & soccer at a high level). I'm very familiar with common- core curriculum, but I also try to gear my teaching towards an individual's particular skills and education history. Also, while in graduate school I tutored several undergraduate students in philosophy and psychology. Finally, I spend a lot of time working with autistic individuals and its something that is very close to my heart. I adhere to the principles of ABA and am fully capable of working with any ...

When my son started soccer at age five, he really struggled and didn't enjoy the game the way I'd hoped. Within a few months of working with Jack (John) though, hes become one of the better players on the team and even made the local travel team. Best of all, though, he really seems to enjoy playing now and seems confident out on the field!

John truly understands the game and was able to teach all the basic skills to my son. Unfortunately, due to a recent move I was unable to continue with the lessons. I think he is a very good teacher though.
Milo F. Los Angeles, CA

I've been playing basketball since age 6. It's always been my love and passion. When people ask what hobbies I have, I can only answer with basketball because it has been a lifestyle. I played at New Roads High School in Santa Monica, where I starred my senior year and received the MVP award, first-team all Harbor League, and Harbor League leading scorer. I moved on to a prep school in Maine called Hebron Academy where I was recruited by some of the best schools in New England. These schools would include Harvard, Columbia, Dartmouth, Amherst, Williams, Quinnipiac, Northeastern, University at Buffalo, Quinnipiac, and many more. Since 2011, I have been doing basketball commercials with sports figures such as Serena Williams, Damian Lillard, Dwyane Wade, Lebron James, and Stuart Scott. I love the game of basketball with every cell in my body.

About Milo

As a former college basketball player, I know that it takes to be an elite athlete mentally, physically and emotionally. On top of that, my Mother was a body builder, olympic gymnast, and personal trainer/dietician and she taught me everything she knew to help me enhance my game. I've trained with many professional basketball players and coaches but have also learned how to perfect breathing techniques using yoga and stretching to keep the body balanced. I've traveled all across America playing in different tournaments and camps and have taught at basketball camps all over Los Angeles for the L.A. Lakers, UCLA, Former NBA All-Star Baron Davis, Portland Trailblazer Dorrell Wright, and The Boys & Girls Club of America. Today, I play in a league at my gym with superstar athletes such as ...

Milo is skilled, professional, knowledgeable and patient. I'm most impressed with his uncanny ability to adapt his teaching techniques to fit how my 7-year old niece learns. As all kids learn differently, I see this as a rare and critical skill in teaching kids -- and even adults. Milo's lessons have not only built up my niece's basketball skills, but more importantly her self-confidence. I would hire Milo again and highly recommend him.
Jennifer B. Beaverton, OR

I've been playing basketball for over 30 years. It is so gratifying to learn the basics that allow you to progress on your own!

About Jennifer

Hey there ~ I am a teacher at heart, regardless of the subject area we are dealing with. As you might guess by the areas I have listed for tutoring, I was a math major in undergrad, with an education minor. My masters and doctoral studies are in religious and biblical studies. In addition to teaching and tutoring high school math courses, I have taught reading to people aged 4-65, and biblical languages to people who get hives at the thought of learning a language. As a college professor in the humanities, I can help you prep for the GREs or help you hone your essay writing or studying skills. Swimming comes naturally to me, so I have thoroughly enjoyed helping others learn to swim in the past. The same goes for basketball. I opted out of playing in college, but still enjoy ...

Jennifer is an AMAZING teacher....I truly feel she has been a great influence on both of my boys. She engages them about themselves first and then jumps in having gotten to know them a little bit. This not only helped my shyer son feel more comfortable but he really likes her and enjoys when she comes. My older son needs more help and pushing and she is just the teacher to orchestrate this. As a 16 year old, he does not really want to listen to Mom and Dad but Jennifer has been able to give him a 3rd person's perspective and inspiration. She is enforcing study habits that will not only help in math and with test anxiety but enforce how he can better prepare for the SATs. I wish Jennifer had been available for us several years ago before we lived in OR. She takes charge and controls the learning situation while at the same time being fun and engaging for my teenage boys. I am so glad we found her!!!
