Kortnee is a fabulous teacher! She came into our home and taught my 9 and 11-year old daughters piano once a week. Both girls thrived and looked forward to their lessons. The progress they made in one year with Kortnee was impressive. We have moved out of state and the biggest regret is that we can't find another piano teacher like Kortnee. We miss her and her enthusiasm for teaching music. Best instructor ever!

Kortnee is amazing!!

I actually take both piano and flute from Kortnee. Her energy is contagious and she knows many styles of music. She is always ready to support what I want/need to do and can give me a tip within minutes that will help me forever. I can puzzle over a phrase or mood, and she will immediately "get it". She loves to see me have fun, and loves to help me over the rough spots.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!

Laura F.

Waltham, MA

10+ years experience as a swimming teacher and coach - I have taught students ranging in age from 6 months to 70 years old. I have also worked with students ranging from beginners to National level swimmers.

Note: you must have a pool where I can teach the lesson(s); most of the facilities around have strict policies against outside private swim lessons due to liability

About Laura

I hold a BA from Westfield State where I majored in Theatre Arts with a concentration in Performance. I am an experienced teacher with a vast knowledge in Stage Acting, Acting for Film & TV, Improvisation, Shakespeare (acting and deciphering text), Directing, Playwriting, Sound Design, Script Analysis, Scenography, the Meisner Technique, Method Acting, Suzuki, Clowning, and much more. With the background and experience I have, classes are extremely educational and fun! Lessons will be structured around what YOU want to get out of the class. Need help getting into character for a performance? Work on public speaking? Need a better understanding of Shakespeare for an essay? Help learning lines? Want to learn of different acting techniques? Or maybe you're new to acting and are ...

I signed up my 8 year old daughter for acting lessons with Laura. At first it was just to have her get some extra help for a school play, but once the play ended I stuck with the lessons (my daughter loved it). Overall I have nothing bad to say - my kid loves her and acting!
At first I went through this site, but found it easier to just schedule them with Laura directly after a while. The website is too difficult when it comes to bookings, I rather deal with the instructor themselves. Plus, I saved some money by doing it that way too.

I cannot rave about Laura enough! I was skeptical when I first signed my daughter up for acting lessons, especially seeing how pricey they were going to be, but it was completely worth it. My daughter looks forward to her lesson each week, and has even requested that I extend her half hour lesson to an hour.

My daughter has always been very shy, but recently opened up a lot through these lessons. Not just with acting, but at home, with her peers and academically. As a parent, it is wonderful to see that happen.

Laura has been on time to each and every lesson (if not early), and was always prepared with a lesson for the day. She is very informative and knowledgeable on the subject matter (she has covered some Shakespeare as well as contemporary plays), but more importantly for my daughter - she keeps it fun.

If you decide to sign up for acting lessons, experienced or not, go with Laura! As my daughter says, "she's really cool."

In swim classes, students ages 3 and up will learn swimming skills from basic, life-saving skills (rolling onto their back in the water, getting out of the pool without a ladder, etc.) to refined, efficiency skills (body rotation in water, proper form in all 4 strokes, etc.) Students will gain confidence in the water, understand water safety concepts, learn new body positions and strokes, develop endurance and will eventually be equipped for participation in swim teams!

"I took my kids to Miss Sherri because I kept hearing
how wonderful it was. I believe in early exposure to
music because they get so much out of it when they're
really little. And Sherri has a magical quality that
sparks their interest. Jack, 9, Andrew, 7 and my
daughter, Bailey, 6, are now clients of Shirley Grant,
a talent manager for Keisha Knight Pullian, who played
Rudy on 'The Cosby Show,' and Kathleen Herles, the
voice of 'Dora the Explorer.' Jack recently played the
lead in Running Rabbit Theater's production of 'The
Velveteen Rabbit' at the Two River Theater. We love
Miss Sherri!"
