I walked into Ron's school believing I would always be a klutz. He taught me, in one lesson, that it didn't have to be that way. Whatever you are, you don't have to be. Ron and his whole team are outstanding instructors and have my complete confidence.Show More
Only one lesson in but I found Ron to be calm, highly competant, patient, encouraging and organized. I very much look forward to future lessons with Ron. Everything I could have hoped for thus far.
Ron has incredible credentials and is an amazing teacher. I've been taking lessons on-line with him for over two years and recently attended a live workshop at his school. The training was outstanding. I highly recommend Ron.
I have been training with Ron for a little over a year now and want to leave an update to help guide others looking for a phenomenal instructor. Working with Ron has been pleasant, exciting, and encouraging. I take weekly lessons with him learning Chen 18 Forms while refining the Yang 24 Forms and Ron does a tremendous job blending new instruction with refinement. He intuitively knows how much time to spend on each based on how I'm dong and what form or posture we are working on. I think I mentioned it in my first review but Ron's constant reminder of the fact that my Tai Chi is right for where I am in my learning is refreshing and helpful. If you are interested in learning more about Tai Chi Ron is an excellent choice and I highly recommend him.Show More
For benefit of others, I wanted to write a quick update review. I have been studying with Ron online for several months now and can say that it has been--and continues to be--a joy. I try many things and have many curiosities. Tai Chi was one of them, but under Ron's guidance, my curiosity has deepened substantially. His teaching style is warm, kind, guiding, and filled with depth and wisdom. This combination signifies to me a true master, and I highly recommend anyone interested in Tai Chi to seek his guidance.!Show More
Great expeirence. Positive and uplifting but also detail oriented and specific. Will continue lessons for sure!
Ron’s lessons are very organized and easy to follow. He takes the time to show each step carefully.
As a new entrant to Tai Chi, it has been a great fortune to find Ron with the advent of the online platform. My curiosity extended beyond the pre-packaged video instructionals and youtube channels as I realized the sheer complexity in the seemingly simple and graceful movements is best uncovered with individualized instruction. As well, the sheer volume of information available these days has created the problem of info overload, so a dedicated master of the arts is helpful to guide and go deeper, not purely wider. Ron's energy and spirit is unmistakably sincere, wise, and powerful. His dedication, as not just a teacher and guide, but as a student himself is inspiring. I encourage others to experience for themselves and see beyond this written word!Show More
I've been a student of Ron's for 7-8 years, both in his school and privately. He is very patient and will spend as much time as you want or need on a particular movement. Ron will always find time for his students.
Those who live close to GM Ron P. should definitely take advantage of what he teaches. He is the most knowledgeable on the subject of Internal Arts that I have met in my 56 years of study. I myself have been teaching since the very early '70s, and have seen many who could use what GM P teaches.Show More
Very clear instructions and very experienced web based teacher for Tai Chi - very good pace and explaination moving in the room.
I've only been working with Ron for a little over a month now but he is an excellent instructor. He is very knowledgeable, detail oriented, and easy to learn from. He knows what pace of instruction works and he doesn't try to rush through anything. Also, I find it helpful how he can relate the forms to a practical martial arts use which helps me to better understand. He frequently reminds me that my Tai Chi Chuan is great for where I'm at which is a powerful reinforcement. It encourages me to continue to practice and improve daily. I recommend Ron to anyone who is ready to start learning and discover the benefits of Tai Chi Chuan.Show More
Master Teacher Ron Pfeiffer is a true find if you are looking for exceptionally high-quality of instruction. His depth of knowledge and experience in martial arts makes him a valuable tai chi instructor as he is able to elucidate the finer points of the forms and make your tai chi practical, as well.
His style of teaching translates well to the online medium. He keeps a sharp eye on even minute mistakes while remaining positive and encouraging, breaks down the movements, and is attentive to detail . He also has a sense of humor, which is always a welcome characteristic in a teacher.
Since he is very experienced, he can assess his students very well and knows just what level of instruction to deliver, depending on your needs.
I am enriched and feel I'm moving to a new level after every class with Ron. Very grateful for his instruction and highly recommend!
I have been working with Ron for over a year. He is an amazing teacher. His teaching style is full of patience and his explanations of each move are not only technically detailed in the physical move itself, but also in the reason for and benefit of the move. If you are interested in learning Tai-Chi, I can't think of a better teacher.Show More
My 10 year Tai Chi journey found Ron after experiencing classes with several different Tai Chi instructors. The consistency of his classes is only one reason I am still studying with Ron. His commitment to furthering his knowledge and expertise is evident and he passes that along to his students. His classes are layered to benefit the novice as well as the more experienced student. Ron’s passion and attention to detail makes this the perfect place to begin or continue your Tai Chi journey.Show More
I’ve been training with Master Ron for several months. As a 60 year old physician I’ve had many professors and mentors who have shaped my life. Ron has a spot right up there with the best of them. Great instructors are not just great communicators - it’s a given that they can explain what you need to know. What makes Ron different is he is a great listener - even better he listens with not just his ears but his eyes and his gut. He can tell when you are struggling even if you don’t realize it and gently guides you past it. He rejoices in your victories no matter how small and encourages you in your battles with certain moves. Although he is very gifted he is very humble. He is very Zen. He believes in living in the moment with what you are capable of now but always wants you to strive to improve. If you are looking for an instructor you can’t do better than Master Ron.Show More
Ron is an excellent instructor, very positive and encouraging and I look forward to my tai chi classes. I have noticed improved balance, strength and endurance since starting tai chi and would encourage anyone to give it a go!
My experience with Ron Pfeiffer has been that he is an excellent teacher. I started in Beginner's Class at U.W. Parkside learning Tai Chi for Beginners' and later Tai Chi for Energy. He is friendly and yet detailed in his approach. He works with each student & improves their for forms. He has more Teaching Certificates than anyone I know and yet always goes back to the basics. I have earned two Teaching Certificates : Tai Chi for Energy and Tai Chi for Diabetes. I've worked to improve Yang 24 Form by attending classes in Burlington, WI. I talk classes weekly with Mr. Pfeiffer at the Moose Lodge & Senior Center in Kenosha, WI. I he is not available, classes go on with other Senior Students from his dojo in Burlington, WI. He is a teacher with a wealth of knowledge and I would recommend him to friends and family of all ages.Show More
I have been a student of Ron's for 3 years. At 70 I have felt an increase in my flexibility and balance. Ron is dedicated to Tai Chi and to his students. He is encouraging every step of the way when teaching the various forms.
Ron is a great teacher. I have been studying with him for about six months. He has worked me through the 24 forms and now the 73 forms. He is patient, encouraging, and detailed in his instruction. I really enjoy his lessons and strongly recommend him as an instructor.Show More
I love that Master Ron says that my clunky awkward Tai Chi isn't wrong - its just my Tai Chi. And my Tai Chi in 3 months may be better or worse than my Tai Chi today - but it's still my Tai Chi.
I have been a student of Ron's since 2011. I am learning both Kenpo Karate and Tai Chi. Ron is very knowledgeable in both venues and is passionate about the health aspects of each. He is a great teacher - caring and disciplined.
I am a new student and Ron Pfeiffer is my instructor.
I am so excited that I made the decision to join.
I joined because I wanted to learn how to reduce chronic pain without the use of opioids. I highly recommend that everyone learn about the healing benefits of Tai Chi & Qigong.
Ron is very passionate about helping everyone enhance their overall well-being. All the other students are warm and engaging. Great environment ; no judgement.
There are other Tai Chi Studios but only one Ron Pfeiffer. Why settle for the rest when you can experience the very best at Midwest Tai Chi.
In the past I experienced Tai Chi by someone in another state whom was not Certified and didn't know what they were doing. It was not a good experience for me. Stay away from people whom are not certified and properly trained!
Which is why I praise Ron because he is professional, certified and his training has impacted my health very positively. I am learning about proper balance, deep breathing techniques, mindfulness, clarity and focus. My sleep is also improving. Which is an added benefit that will help me to continue to heal.
Sifu Ron Pfeiffer is an excellent instructor. He has a methodology of teaching that transcends and enhances the Art itself. He is patient with his students, explains the movements and walks through the forms with you. I have studied with him for a year and a half and have obtained two teaching certificates under his tutelage, He raises the bar in each class & emphasizes practice, practice and practice.Show More
I have been taking lessons from Ron Pfieffer for five years. I began lessons while recuperating from back surgery. Having just retired I knew I had to do something to keep active. I found his beginning lesson easy and with Ron's method of teaching engaging, positive and very encouraging. I knew by the 2nd week it was a good decision and knew Tai Chi was going to be the answer for me. I has greatly increased my flexibility and balance. Ron's depth of knowledge in Tai Chi include not only Sun but Yang Chen and Qi Gong . I look forward to studying with him for a long time to come. He works well with all ages of students and has a vast knowledge of martial arts which includes a 8th degree black belt in Kempo Karate. Ron is an outstanding instructor and great communicator.Show More
Excellent fisrt lesson! Ron is patient amd moves at a pace that is easy to follow. I like that he seems to live the essence of Tai Chi - he is not just teaching the forms.
I recommend highly.
I have been taking Ron's class for 4 months now. He is very patient and explains things very well. He also answers all my questions. Thanks so much.
Great first lesson
I have been working with Ron for over two years now. I originally meet him through a world tai-chi day he had hosted. I saw him perform the Yang 24 form and thought instantly that this was the guy i wanted to learn from. I have never changed that initial opinion. He is the most skilled and knowledgeable instructor ihave ever met and i don't expect that to change either. You will not be disappointed in any lesson you get from him.Show More
Ron has shown me the benefits of Tai Chi and its application to daily living for your health and spirituality. I have tried exercise classes over the years but they bore me. Tai Chi has been a refreshing change and I rarely miss a class unless I have a conflict with business. Ron is gentle, unassuming and the relaxed atmosphere is very enjoyable. My mantra now is "no pain, no pain".Show More
I have had the opportunity to be part of Ron's Tia Chi classes @ the Kenosha Senior Center since January of this year. I have enjoyed his patience, knowledge and humor very much. He takes the time to break the moves down so that we can grasp the moves and understand the meaning behind them. I hope to be able to enjoy many more classes and to continue improving on my Tia Chi & Qigong.Show More
Has a way of building up your desire to learn and stay motivated.
I have attended Ron's school since 2008, and it has brought about great improvement in both my physical health and personal life. The staff is supportive, well-trained, and caring. The students come from all walks of life, some young and some older, some very fit and others overcoming serious health challenges. Everyone is welcome here, and we have lots of laughs while working very hard to better ourselves. I have attended many Tai Chi schools, workshops, and classes, but none of them compare to the enjoyment and benefit that I gain from regular attendance at Midwest Tai Chi & Self Defense.Show More
I feel so lucky to have found Ron. Living in Wisconsin I thought I would never get a chance to become a certified Tai Chi instructor. Ron is such a great teacher. He puts everyone at ease and makes learning Tai Chi fun. I will always keep an eye on what he is offering at his studio.
Nancy , Tai Chi and Qigong Instructor
My husband and I have taken lessons from Ron for about 5 or 6 years. He is the greatest coach, patient and a great motivator. Learn at your own pace, no pressure, very patient. Highly recommended.
I have trained under Coach Ron through his online instructional videos for close to 5 years. I really enjoy it! I am able to watch the videos and practice as much as I need to. Absolutely no pressure. The videos are put together well and Coach Ron guides you through the different techniques.Show More
Ron is one of the best Tai Chi instructors out there. His knowledge of Tai Chi and the martial arts is truly impressive. Most importantly though, he knows how to teach Tai Chi. Instruction is clear and he makes you feel comfortable as you work through your learning process.Show More
