Ron is a superalitive: Instructor. Coach Observer. Actualizer. Dizzyingly capable martial artist. Welcoming and effective teacher at all levels. And always a pleasure.
I've been taking lessons with Ron for several weeks now and feel really fortunate to have come across him. He does an amazing job of breaking down all of the motions into well narrated steps, and is highly skilled. The ability to engage someone of his caliber through a format like Zoom is really a luxury. Ron is very personable and talking with him throughout the lessons has been a real pleasure. I'd characterize his teaching approach as patient and encouraging. I've seen some improvement already, and I'm looking forward to the comfort that will come with more training. I would definitely recommend Ron to anyone who is interested in learning Tai Chi!
I've been working with Ron and Linda for over 3 years now and the impact on my physical, mental, emotional and spiritual health is beyond words. Six months ago I had surgey to repair a torn tendon which required the surgeon to basically rebuild my foot. Recovery was said to take 12-18 months. The orthopedic surgeon released me from care after 5 months. I am sure my physical therapist was tired of hearing me say, "We do that in Tai Chi." after every new exercise she gave me but it's the truth. Tai Chi was my physical therapy. Ron's support during my recovery was invaluable. He asked me every class how the foot was, if the swelling had gone down and he worked within my capabilities. He's an intuitive instructor and he knows what the student needs at the time. I preach the benefits of Tai Chi to everyone I can and Ron is an excellent instructor with whom to start your Tai Chi journey.
