From start to finish, my daughter's first lesson with Alida was exemplary. She understood what the goals were and crafted techniques and practices for both the lesson itself as well as items to be done at home. Looking forward to the continued progress that we are seeing already!

Alida was fantastic! She made me feel completely comfortable and took everything step by step. She focused on strengthening my weaknesses by showing me new stretches and techniques every lesson. Alida truly is an amazing teacher. Even though I've only worked with her for five days, Alida has made my technique and main focus. It was the best and I plan (and hope) to work with her again and again!

Alida is one of the best, most caring dance teachers I've ever had. In just a few short lessons she taught me to really believe in myself, boosted my confidence and taught me technique and important combinations for important upcoming auditions. She is very patient and really catered to my needs. She doesn't ever waste any time and I always leave a lesson feeling good and really feeling like I'm getting my moneys worth. Very thankful I found her and would recommend anyone take lessons with her.

About Da-Rell
I am a hip-hop/house/contemporary dancer with professional/classical training, an academic background, and a passion for taking my students to the next level. I received my degrees in Dance, Psychology and Philosophy, and use these fields as a framework to help direct and assist students in learning how to train their bodies and minds in many different disciplines. I've lived in many cities and always learned each city's dance styles.
I can teach: popping, locking, waving, tutting, liquid, sliding, house, footwork, breakdancing, acrobatics, choreography, improvisation, and theatrical.
I can help you build your own style. A style that specifically pertains to you. I'll show you how to incorporate concepts, themes, and ideas, to tell a story, or to just express yourself through movement and rhythm.
I love teaching, and I love that look i
n a persons face after they get something that was tough. I love helping them understand what they could do differently to yield different results.
If you want to learn hip hop, house, or fusion- I am a very patient yet motivating teacher. I can be strict at times, but only when needed ;-)

Classes focus on ideas and concepts as well as ways to act them out. We learn how to utilize balance, emotion, finesse, attention, and focus to transition between movements. Exploring performing with character, style, technique, and form to develop their own individual philosophies on movement. We dissect different instruments and rhythms to experience them in different parts of the body. Integrating hip hop, ballet, modern, house, and martial arts into one cohesive style.
My goal is to foster artistic growth and to help you surprise yourself!

Da-Rell and I hit it off right away. In less than a day we already had a dance lesson planned, and we got right to it. Da-Rell has groove and is the number one recommended hip-hop dance trainer from the Take Lessons company. We went over moon walking, sliding / gliding, and other modern hip-hop moves. Da-Rell also helped film the dance moves on camera so I could keep the video as a study guide. Thank you Da-Rell!

I have been taking Liam's Tai Chi/ Qi Gong class for nearly two years now. He is a dynamic teacher that is sensitive to different types of learning paces and styles (both eastern and western) and employs both in his classes. His explanations are simple and he always relates the movement back to its origin as a martial arts defense/offensive move which helps one establish the intention behind the movement. I have learned yang short form and chen style short form from him. I would highly recommend that you take his class if you are interested in beginning or continuing a tai chi practice. Through my practice I have found a healthy way to manage stress and anxiety.

Nick is a wonderful teacher, he is knowledgeable and perceptive. I first came to Nick for help on my essay for my college application. He was able to help me narrow down the options of topics to write about so that I could confidently write about a topic I am passionate about. He continued to help me outline and structure the paper so that it would be organized and academically acceptable, and finally, he helped with editing so that the final copy was ready. A few months later I received my letter of acceptance.
After helping with my college application essay, Nick continued tutoring me through my semester at Community College. he taught me how to do a close reading, to arrange paragraphs, and to better phrase my ideas. He offered new ways to strengthen my writing. Nick is so patient and full of encouragement, I could not have made it through the semester without him.

Nick is very patient and knowledgeable. He has helped me reconstruct many paragraphs in essays/college papers that I had to write. He has a keen eye and sees all the little mistakes and ways things could be rewritten to convey point. He has looked over several of my papers and edited them, and also helped me to learn to write better- not just fixing the problem for me. I have watched my grades go from C's to A's over time, he's great !

Highly recommended!! I brought my daughter to the new gymnastics gym Eliana is manager at (it has everything and really nice), and she coached my daughter one on one. She learnt more in one hour with Eliana than she did all year! Eliana is super professional, spots better than any coaches I've seen, and knows how to make the lesson both fun and very valuable. Also a great fee considering she got a private lesson in a beautiful gym. My daughter now LOVES Eliana and can't wait for her next session.

About Vaughn
My name is Vaughn Anderson I am an Iona Prep, Westchester Community College, and Buffalo State College Alum. I've played the game of Basketball since I was 5 years old. I am passionate about teaching the sport. I want to help young people avoid making the wrong decisions in life that can impede their success. Growing up I was caught up under the illusion of playing big time NCAA division 1 basketball and I didn't realize the intense work and dedication I would have to put in to achieve my goal. My head coach in Buffalo Fred Batchelor at the time taught me how to become a better basketball player. In practice he taught us how to do drills effectively, how to improve our ball handling and shooting skills, as well as defensive technique. I looked forward to practice more than I did games. Under his guidance my game went up to another level.
Later on in life I developed my own philosophy to training and have applied it to my son Bryce who is now one the best players his age in NY state. I want to give kids this knowledge of how to get better at an early age so they can realistically keep their goals in perspective and make it a priority to achieve them.
