From start to finish, my daughter's first lesson with Alida was exemplary. She understood what the goals were and crafted techniques and practices for both the lesson itself as well as items to be done at home. Looking forward to the continued progress that we are seeing already!

Alida was fantastic! She made me feel completely comfortable and took everything step by step. She focused on strengthening my weaknesses by showing me new stretches and techniques every lesson. Alida truly is an amazing teacher. Even though I've only worked with her for five days, Alida has made my technique and main focus. It was the best and I plan (and hope) to work with her again and again!

Alida is one of the best, most caring dance teachers I've ever had. In just a few short lessons she taught me to really believe in myself, boosted my confidence and taught me technique and important combinations for important upcoming auditions. She is very patient and really catered to my needs. She doesn't ever waste any time and I always leave a lesson feeling good and really feeling like I'm getting my moneys worth. Very thankful I found her and would recommend anyone take lessons with her.

We used Ebony this Spring to get my two daughters (ages 10 and 13) an extra boost of instruction prior to their dance recitals.

Ebony is extremely talented and knowledgable about all styles of dance. She was able to recognize each of my girl's weaknesses and focused heavily on improving those areas.

She is organized, punctual and extremely nice!

I would definitely recommend her as a dance instructor.

About SAM
My mission: To nurture the game of Golf by coaching people towards their personal goals, swing development, maximum potential, and pure love of the sport through the PGA Experience of excellence and FUN.

Level 1 PGA apprentice at Dyker Beach Golf Club. I'm a golfer / athlete who gets along really well with a wide variety of human beings. I'm also an excellent communicator so conveying advice and drills to my students can be really fun and enhance your abilities. Golf is a simple game that takes a lot of mental focus and understanding. Explaining the game in a way you can understand makes me happy as a teacher. Seeing you shave strokes off your rounds using the ideas we talk about and drills we do during lessons makes me a proud instructor.

Geographically, I serve Brooklyn, Queens, Manhattan, parts of Long Island within reason, and
Staten Island, the Bronx and NJ for an extra gas and toll fee. Be sure to mention where you need the lessons in your request or else requests will be passed.

My lesson plans are specialized. First we will analyze your personal game and extract what exact issues you need working on the most. Based on your needs and goals, we will do various drills interspersed with tips and corrections to your swing and approach. The curriculum we cover is based on the PGA Experience for the fundamentals of golf. The lessons are built around improving all areas of your game with focused attention to your weaknesses. Whether it's distance off the tee, accuracy on approaches or better putts around the green, I can help with specific work to make you better based on your unique needs.

You have the option of working on specific parts of your game with me such as putting, chipping, sand shots or driving. Locations could be at the driving range, at the practice greens or elsewhere. Another option would be to play an entire round with me as your caddie and swing coach. This option would be the most in depth and lead to the greatest improvement in your game. In this scenario I will ride along and take shots with you analyzing what you need to think about and plan for in order to execute the correct shot given the circumstances.

For pure beginers, ask about my 4 week intro to golf half hour specials.

I will be available to you day and night via email, phone or text in order to make sure you are doing the right things off the course so your improvements remain in tact over the span of our lessons.

Ive played golf unsucessfully for years and decided I wanted a lesson. I was always too nervous about playing in front of a golf instructor to try my hand at a lesson. But I finally decided to try one, and Im very happy I did. Sam couldn't have been more friendly, helpful, encouraging and confident in his efforts to improve my game.

I would highly recommend him to anyone looking to improve. Sam is a very good golfer. He also has a wonderful perspective about the game. I look forward to continuing my lessons with him.

First golf lesson ever and I could not have picked a better instructor!
(and I would not want any other instructor)

Sam was professional, personable and very knowledgeable about the game itself, as well as the simple things, we don’t think about, to better your game.

He was extremely supportive, even though I messed quite often. His words and attitude were helpful as well as positive and supportive.

I would not hesitate booking another session(s) with him in the future.

I couldn't have found a better golf instructor than Sam. He's keen at identifying his students' strengths and works patiently and incisively to address and improve problem areas. He's clearly passionate about golf and is well-equipped to help any student sharpen their technique and in doing so, have more fun. Highly recommended!

About Sara
Hello! I'm Sara!

I started dancing at the age of 3. I am well versed in Ballet, Modern and Jazz. I attended Joffrey San Antonio (2004) and Paul Taylor New York (2010) intensives.

While in high school I taught Ballet, Jazz, Pre-Pointe and Pointe classes to dancers age 3-14.

In 2011 I graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Ballet Pedagogy (which is the art or science of teaching).

Since moving to NYC 5 years ago I have been focused on performing with such dance companies as Exit 12 Dance Company (2011-2012) and Community Dance Project (2013-2014). While not dancing with specific companies I have choreographed and danced in two music videos.

I can't express my love for teaching enough! To know that I could help spark the passion of dance in a young person is extremely inspiring.

Please inc
lude your area and availability in your messages!

I would prefer to teach students with professional or aerobic goals. Social dancing is not one of my subjects.

About Bailey
I am currently the Visual Arts Teacher as well as the Director of Advisory at Northside Charter High School in Brooklyn, NY. I have helped develop the school’s culture significantly over the past five years I have been there.

My mission at Northside Charter High School was to create a curriculum that shows our students that their presence is essential to the ever-changing arts community. This led to creating the curriculum for Northside Television, which is Northside's first web-based school news network. NTV has grown to become a staple in Northside’s community and has brought about positive changes to the culture of the school. My master's thesis based on this course entitled, “Media Production and its Role in Preparing High School Students to be 21st Century Learners”, provides data on how our program has brought new skill-sets to t
he senior cohort. Students of all backgrounds are on the screen and are representing their community, their ideals, and their concerns.

Due to the success of our program, PBS chose Northside to become an official NewsHour Student Reporting Lab. CNN Director and three-time Emmy award-winning director, Luanne Dietz, mentored our seniors. Students also have the opportunity to utilize PBS’s resources by offering them internships and personal recommendations.

I’ve also worked in conjunction with local Brooklyn galleries such as the RAM Gallery and 630 Flushing to provide Portfolio Development students with the opportunity to display and sell their artwork.

She is a well versed artist with many different skills, though where she shines is in drawing which has helped me in my understanding in the concepts of light and shadow, gesture and figure drawing, as well as how different strokes and the effects they carry, whether using graphite, charcoal, pastels, and other mediums. It all came to use in my college application process for developing my portfolio as I was accepted into a variety of colleges and universities across the country

Ms Goldenbaum has been by far the best artistic navigator. Not only has she taught me how to stroke a brush, she taught me how to really tap in with my mind and become one with the art itself. If it wasn’t for Ms Goldenbaum, I wouldn’t know as much as I do now about things like abstract art , water colors and primary colors. Shouts to Ms G!
