*****Before you sign up*****

There are three simple things you need to know about my tutoring program.
1. No matter what your reasons for learning a foreign language are, ultimately it's a part of your SELF DEVELOPMENT. Treat it as such.
2. I don't believe in "good or bad with languages" stereotype. I have taught for many years and learnt that everyone is "language talented" when they actually want to speak a new language. And if you are one of them I garantie that my method will work for you.
3. My program might appear quite different from the ones you have tried or seen before and goes beyond simple grammar and vocabulary presentation. Also prepare to be challenged at every step of the way and the further you will get the more fun and exciting it will be.

DON'T FORGET TO GO TO MY VIDEOS AND TAKE YOUR FIRST FRENCH TEST! BONNE CHANCE!

*****My Students*****

For over 6 years of professional experie
nce as Russian/French/ESL teacher, I have worked with all types of students with different learning styles and various goals: taught within U.S. public education institutions, provided private classes for children and adults, developed and implemented individualized syllabus for diplomats, high rank executives at multinational companies, employees of U.S. Embassy and Department of State.

Thanks to all my students, current and former, I am now confident that every individual, willing to learn one of the languages I teach, without a doubt, has everything it takes to succeed when the right approach is applied during the learning process and that is when your classes are comprehensible, interesting and engaging.

*****Program features*****

It is one on one program, thouroughtly personalized and organized according to your interests (general and professional), schedule, final goals, learning style and many other important elements to be taken into account.

Each session is 50 minutes.

Every session is prepared to reach a particular goal and structured in the way to have a maximum profit from "teacher - student" part of learning. Supporting materials are sent after each session: grammar notes, retention exercises, homework assignments, audio and video files as phonetic exercises and listening practice. The content of these materials is permanently tested and modified in order to achieve the best way to engage each individual student's language acquisition mechanisms.

Teacher's support 24/7.

Extra curricula content: idiomatic language components, cultural studies (traditions, history, literature, cinema and language related etymology), recommendations for independent language practice.

The way I see it, with each new student - there is a new process in my head that starts and constantly creates and improves techniques, ideas, method components, teaching style e.t.c for getting this particular student to do the best he or she can.

Roman was very patient. Having never spoken another language before, it felt very foreign - pun intended. He was very innovative in thinking of ways to help me remember things.

French is my second language, but often feels as it if were the first, as I have speaking it for so many years on an everyday and professional basis. My grammar is excellent, as I learned the rules in junior high school in the Paris suburbs (grammar is an important part of French schooling). I edited a 240-page scholarly book, De La Case A La Villa (published 2014), and I gave private lessons.

About Diane
Bonjour! Hello!

I have been teaching on and off for many years, usually on a one-to-one basis; I taught teenagers and adults. I tailor my lessons to each student's individual needs and I am always ready to go above and beyond the basic lesson. I try to make learning a language fun and alive, through news, stories, and songs.

My method is to provide grammar (very important in French), vocabulary, conversation, reading, and translation in every lesson, and show how important each component is to the whole. I am overjoyed when my students start conversing without need for translation - even if there are errors!

My graduate educational background is in architecture, followed by an MBA in finance. My mother tongue is English; but I learned French at the age of nine when I attended my first French school. I have a French high school
diploma (Baccalauréat) and architecture degree.
I also attended high school in Germany, in a German high school, for several years. Learning languages was a necessity in my childhood, and I love learning, even if by now it is more difficult to become fluent in a new language. I think the fact of being a lifelong learner helps me better understand my students' needs.

As an avid reader since childhood, my spelling has always been excellent, and I worked as a proofreader. I look forward to helping my students reach their language goals.

Diane is a very conscientious and competent instructor who is very easy to work with. She is especially effective because she understands both the French language and culture while having a complete understanding of English and American culture. I have had many French Instructors , all good, but none as helpful as Diane.

I am originally from France. I really enjoy teaching French because kids challenge all the time, in a nice way. You've got to explain things all the time and that gives me a fresh perspective on things and keeps me questioning things myself. I enjoy taking my time to teach and improve the kids to learn the language while at the same time being very patient to explain deeply the material. It has been 3 years now that I teach french. I make sure that my students are comfortable and productive with the work we put on. I am also very fun and open to help them to speak up when they have difficulties with the pronunciation. Come learn french with me we will make the lessons fun and very productive :).

About Leila
I am very fun and open to help my future students to speak when they have difficulties with the pronunciation. When I teach, I give all my best to make sure my students understand the material and improve themselves during the lessons. I am VERY PATIENT when it comes to explaining things and to build prior knowledge. I speak clearly in ways that make the lesson clear. I am also really organized, can break things down and clarify the objectives. I never try to trick my students and my goal is that everyone experience success. It includes me also, I succeed when my students do :).

French is my second language. I studied in French primary, and the first half of secondary school. I am at an intermediate level of reading, writing, and speaking. I provide very interactive, hands-on tutoring sessions that include reading materials, writing exercises, arts/crafts activities, and some audio/visual materials, all catered to each student's unique abilities and needs.

About FlorLouise
Hi! My name is FlorLouise Edouard. I have a passion for people, food and literature. I believe food, before anything else, have the power to unite people of all cultures, backgrounds, and interests. I love food. I love to cook. I love meeting new people, sharing my culture with them, and learning all about theirs from them.

I prepared my first meal when I was seven years old with the help of my mother, and my love for cooking has only intensified since then. Throughout college, I worked at restaurants specializing in Italian, Mexican, and traditional American cuisine. These experiences have given me a broader, more extensive knowledge of food, food preparation, wine, wine and food pairing, cooking methods and tricks, as well as food and service etiquette.

With my assistance, my students come to better understand the fundamentals of
cooking such as selecting the right ingredients, spices, herbs, healthy alternatives, etc; they master proper food handling and preparation techniques; they experience traditional Haitian cooking; and they learn about serving and storing food.

As for my language background, I was born and raised in Haiti. My first language is Haitian Creole, and my second French. English and Spanish were later introduced to my curriculum in secondary school. Living in the US for the past twelve years has affected those skills. Although I am still fluent in Haitian Creole, my English has surpassed everything else, Haitian Creole included. My passion for literature however, has helped me in retaining French despite the lack in demand for it in my everyday life. I now teach beginner and intermediate students.
