Experienced, knowledgable and persistent in teaching. I did not think I will be able to learn fast, but Ilona helps in every step. From holding the bow rightly, to using fingers, learning the language of music, she is patient and persistent. I recommend her without reservation..

I loved Ms. Anna's enthusiasm and constructive criticism. I have been playing horn for 7 years, and this was my first lesson. I have a ways to go, but I loved how she was willing to help me and give me tips in ways that you wouldn't get in your typical band class. I am definitely looking forward to our lessons!! 10/10 recommend for anyone looking for lessons, whether it is your first or your 100th

Anna is a great teacher. We started off with 10 lessons to give our 11 year old son a head start as he was keen to switch from Trombone to French Horn. With Anna's help, he made it! French Horn is a difficult instrument to play compared to other brass woodwind instruments, and finding Anna to help our son has been really beneficial. We highly recommend Anna and we will be signing up for more lessons. In addition, to those who are considering Online lessons, they have been great. We have been using a good webcam (Logitech from Amazon) together with Skype and it has worked out. Thank you!

I am a native Pole - born and raised in Otwock outside of Warsaw. Whether you wish to learn the language, about the culture, history, music, sports, or any aspect of Poland, I am here to help. Teaching language is arguably my favorite pedagogical activity, so if you want to have some fun learning about that beautiful country just let me know! Zapraszam serdecznie - do zobaczenia!!

For language lessons, I love helping with diction, fluency of voice, and linguistic aspects of Polish. As a musician, I think about language pedagogy in a different way than most, and can help you start speaking clean Polish in no time.

Wojciech is a great piano instructor. He’s very patient and flexible. He explains things in memorable ways and makes learning enjoyable. His variations for scales were super fun to learn. My work and school schedules have forced me to sadly stop lessons, but I am thankful to have had this opportunity.

Polish Lessons

Do you want to take Polish lessons with the perfect teacher near you? If yes, then you’ve come to the right place. Private Polish lessons and classes with a TakeLessons Certified™ teacher - whether in-home, studio, or online - accelerates your progress, increases enjoyment, and improves every student's chances of becoming a fluent user of the Polish language. Private tutoring makes learning easy, it's more affordable than you might think, and it's the most impactful way to improve your skills for beginner or advanced learners.

Our Polish tutors work with students of all ages: kids, teenagers, adults, and even seniors. They can teach you the origins of the Polish language, in addition to the vocabulary, the grammar, the punctuation, the consonants, the vowels, allophones, sentence structures, gender differences, accent reduction, and other technical aspects. Learn about and experience the physical, social, and emotional benefits of learning Polish.

Polish is classified as a Category 4 language (meaning it's one of the hardest languages to master for English speakers), and it takes up to 44 weeks, or 1100 hours, of deliberate practice to gain General Professional Fluency. A private tutor can help keep you focused, committed, and motivated, not to mention their ability to help you overcome any language hurdles you have trouble with.

Your tutor offers you expert language learning techniques and tips, and helps you develop good practice habits, so that you can maximize your learning experience, and achieve your goals faster. Learning Polish is extremely useful in the United States and Europe, it helps with career prospects, educational development, business opportunities, and personal relationships. Become a better Polish speaker, reader, writer, and communicator.

Whether you are a beginner, intermediate, or advanced student, our private teachers come from a variety of backgrounds, making it easy to find the perfect match for your interest and skill level. Each instructor's specialties are listed in their profile, along with details about their background check, photos, student feedback, and lesson availability.

Students taking online Polish classes benefit from greater convenience, enjoy better rates, and can choose from a wider selection of teachers nationwide. If you've ever taken any foreign language classes over Skype, you'll love using our interactive TakeLessons Classroom.

We guarantee a personalized experience that will make you glad you took up private lessons. In fact, we are so committed to your happiness that we offer all new customers a 100% Satisfaction Guarantee on your first lesson.

Alternative Language Lesson Methods:
Polish Apps and Books

For independent language learners, downloading popular language apps - free and premium - or checking out Polish books from the library are excellent options. They cost less overall than private lessons, and allow you to learn at your own pace, on your own time, and the topics of your own choosing. The downside is that you don't have personal instruction for the times you need to overcome any challenging obstacles. Learning with a partner or a teacher gives you the personal interaction you need to verbally practice and attempt the language.

Poland and Travel & Immersion

If you're considering study-abroad programs in Poland or other European Union countries, work relocation, international business opportunities, or general travel as a means to learning Polish, immersing yourself and interacting with locals is a surefire way to accelerate your learning. Reading signs, menus, and local newspaper magazines while abroad could expose you to all kinds of spontaneous subjects. Conversing with or having to ask native speakers for directions or recommendations forces you to proactively apply your lessons. The downside is that many students, professionals, and travelers don't feel as confident in taking this approach. Not knowing the basics of the language could backfire on you, and lead to poor decision making. If you learn basic conversation and the most popular phrases for traveling, then you can combine this knowledge with immersion and return home a more fluent speaker.

Group Classes

Taking small group classes to learn a new language is another good way to acquire basic language skills, immediate feedback, and human interaction. It combines both passive and active learning. A professional instructor leading the class can keep the agenda tight and ensure each student gets the chance to participate, and get their questions answered. It can also be more affordable than private 1-on-1 lessons. Find local group Polish classes near you by doing a quick Google search, or better yet, sign up for TakeLessons Live, the new and affordable way to learn languages, and to learn how to play musical instruments in small groups of 5-8. You pay a flat monthly or annual fee, and get unlimited access to hundreds of classes online every month. Perfect for beginners.

At TakeLessons, we understand every student is different, and that the best way to learn any language is to try a combination of various learning techniques. Try all of the above, find out what works best for you, and then study hard and smart. It's only a matter of time before you achieve your goals.
