I have been teaching Sign Language for the Deaf for over twenty years.
I have taught it in the classroom because I have had two students who were Deaf, and I had to find a way to communicate with them so I took classes in Sign Language for the Deaf so I could communicate with Pam and Charles, and my students could communicate with them as well.
I start out by teaching my students the ABC'S, Numbers one to ten, simple phrases such as please, thank you, your welcome, the colors of the rainbow and simple questions and answers. I also teach words to songs that students can sing in church.
I have been the only Customer Service Representative at Fairlane Town Center that could Sign to the Deaf customers, and I have also Signed for my church.
I ask that if a student wants to learn Sign Language for the Deaf that they bring someone with them that they can practice with throughout the week.

I enjoy teaching music to all age students, and especially enjoy watching my students grow in their music ability. I can teach American Sign Language to all ages. I also teach sign language to new parents for communication with their hearing babies.
I am a graduate of U of Houston in Mathematics, a graduate of Trinity College of Natural Health in Naturopathy, and have earned a certification in mediation from American Center of Conflict Resolution. I have a love for teaching and believe that the best time to teach is when children are young, thus I will focus my efforts on teaching math and reading to elementary and middle school students. Also, I will enjoy teaching all ages in my other specialties, such as conflict resolution. This I believe should be mandatory in all high school curriculum as it is absolutely necessary for success in every walk of life, especially marriage. The Bible is my favorite book and look forward to sharing my 30 plus years of studies in the holy scriptures. My sister is deaf and I have been signing ...
Sign language is my second language, I have an older sister that is profoundly deaf. I completed the highest level of sign language courses at my university. For the past year, I have been teaching American Sign Language to high school students at a preparatory school.
My name is Vanessa B, I currently work at a preparatory high school in the East Bay. I work with students one-on-one teaching a wide range of subjects including but not limited to: Math, Science, English, American Sign Language, and Economics. Majority of my students have been diagnosed with various learning differences, this ensures that I am constantly undergoing training and discovering new technology to help my students succeed. Prior to teaching, I tutored with Huntington Learning Center, grades 2-12, this really helped me to discover my passion for teaching. My work experience combined with my relaxed approach to working with students, makes me confident that I will be a great tutor for you. In addition to my training, I take the time to really listen to my students and pay ...

Hi all! I am a twenty-five year old female, and I am very passionate about the Deaf Culture and American Sign Language. I am currently enrolled in my last semester at the Community College of Baltimore County in the Interpreter Preparation Program. I have little teaching experience, but it involved teaching sign language to a young girl who was Deaf and Autistic. I have endless patience and want to see everyone I teach succeed. If you choose me to teach you American Sign Language, you will get exposure to the "Signing Naturally" workbooks, and knowledge of the Deaf Culture. I will use different methods such as video clips, "voice off" sessions, and give you a designated amount of time per lesson to learn signs that YOU want to learn. I want to make this a fun experience for any ...
As a Child Of a Deaf Adult (CODA) and three year tutor for all ages, levels and learning abilities, you can expect to receive quality lessons! I have taught a young autistic man for two years, who now fully understands ASL. I've tutored several students and friends ASL in preparation for exams, projects and even loved ones.
I'm a Child Of a Deaf Adult (CODA); my mom and half of my dad's side of the family are deaf. I went back to college and took ASL 3 and 4 to brush up on professional and conversational signs. In the beginning of 2012, I started tutoring several students that were beginners. From there, I have tutored people who want to learn just for fun, for a loved one, exams for school and more. February 2013, I started working with a young man with developmental disabilities. He knew a little Signed Exact English (SEE), but over the two years of consistent teaching, he fully understands ASL.
