Samir is an excellent language tutor! He can craft lessons to suit any needs whether you are a beginner or advanced! He also provides relevant supplementary materials so that you can practice and apply the theories learned in your lesson. I found that this consistent practice with actual speaking was a big factor to achieving better spoken fluency with my language of study, arabic. I highly recommend Samir as you will not be disappointed.

Allez-viens! I have been speaking and studying French for over 10 years. It was my first foreign language and I am still so passionate about Francophonie that I truly enjoy facilitating the language learning process for others. I have a BA in French Comparative Literature and I have actually lived in France in a small and culturally rich town where learning the language was the only option. While there, I attended a French Université. My MA in education enables me to proactively tailor lessons to student needs, goals and strengths to ensure the most constructive and effective learning environment.

About Clarissa
I focus on the student. My approach and materials will vary depending on the progress, past experience and interests of the student. I want her or him to want to learn. My hobbies include backpacking, hiking, travel, reading, and language learning.

I am working on my Masters in Secondary English and currently hold an Associates in ECE, this combined with my extensive experience with the AP system and the time that I lived in and attended université in France make me qualified to tutor in these subjects and the satellite subject areas such as diction, study skills, reading and writing. I have experience learning four foreign languages in addition to English. It is my love of the learning process, patience and passion for these subjects, however, that are most efficacious in the tutoring process. Best of luck with your studies!

French is my second language, but often feels as it if were the first, as I have speaking it for so many years on an everyday and professional basis. My grammar is excellent, as I learned the rules in junior high school in the Paris suburbs (grammar is an important part of French schooling). I edited a 240-page scholarly book, De La Case A La Villa (published 2014), and I gave private lessons.

About Diane
Hello!
I have been teaching on and off for many years, usually on a one-to-one basis. I have taught teenagers and adults. I tailor my lessons to each student's individual needs and I am always ready to go above and beyond the basic lesson. I try to make learning a language fun, through news, stories, and songs.
My graduate educational background is in architecture, followed by an MBA in finance.
My native language is English; I learned French when I was nine years old and attended my first French school. Until my MBA, my degrees were all French: the high school diploma (Baccalauréat) and my architecture degree. I also attended high school in Germany, in a German high school, for several years.
As an avid reader since childhood, my spelling has always been excellent, and I worked as a proofreader for an English language magazine wh
en I was a university student.
I look forward to helping my students reach their language goals.
