About Gina
Hello!
I am Gina and I am a specialist in Italian, Portuguese, Spanish and French. I have been teaching and tutoring foreign languages since 1990. I teach adults, college students, high school and elementary students. I have taught in schools, community programs, language classes for businesses, in person and online. I have been multilingual since a young age and have always had a passion for languages. I studied multiple languages in school and went on to earn both a Bachelors and a Masters degree (University of Connecticut) in Italian, Portuguese, Spanish and French language and literature.

I do translation and interpretation work, travel extensively, do foreign language tours and am very passionate about sharing my love of the Italian, Portuguese, Spanish and French languages.

My focus in teaching is how to acquire a foreign language just as one acquires their native language, making that language a part of one’s life.

One thing I love about teaching is bringing the arts into the process of learning. We may sing in the language and even paint to help learn. I've taught younger than Kindergarten all the way to adults, so feel comfortable that you'll grow in your conversational skills, as well as, beginner vocabulary. Let me highlight that I'm passionate about "phonetics," which is the study and classification of speech sounds. In other words, you are going to learn how to sound like a native speaker when you take my class.

About Loren
I'm an artist, musician, and language aficionada. I have a Bachelor's Degree from the University of Georgia, graduating with honors as a Magna Cum Laude in Spanish and French Linguistics. I am fluent in both languages.

Why do I like to bring art and music into the learning journey? Let me tell you one of the biggest secrets I've dis
covered. Art and music can allow you to make a joyful memory, which takes the fleeting moment into the longterm part of your brain, causing you to remember more and put it into what you call "muscle memory" all because you're happy!

Speaking of the arts, I play guitar, ukulele, charango, piano, and I sing! I've been a musician since 2000, and I've successfully turned a hobby into something my husband and I have been doing full time for several years. For beginners, something that works best is taking a song that you LOVE and turning it into your anthem on the instrument of your choice. So pick your song and message me!

Last but not least, I'm a painter. Painting is my favorite part of any day. About my childhood, I can candidly say I had the best stepmom. She would let me take her enormous canvases, oil paints, and brushes and just let me at it. Of course at first they were all of my hand prints and rainbows, but she got me curious, and eventually we started going to museums. I've seen Vangogh, Monet, Divinci, Picasso, and many more as they toured through our city. I began to study their techniques and grow my gift. My "Mama Sue" gifted me a hunger for creativity and excellence, and I can't thank her enough. Painting with me, you will grow in your technique, skill, and confidence, and pick up a little artist history along the way.

I'm looking forward to meeting you and helping you accomplish your dreams!

- I am a certified Spanish teacher from Spain.
- I have been teaching Spanish for 4 years to different levels: from absolute beginners to people who know Spanish but want to get rid of small mistakes.
- I have experience with all ages, from kids at middle school to adults.
- I have taught in high schools, private schools and college.

I believe that learning a language requires a link between the student and the teacher. Everyone needs to feel comfortable to go through the awkward process of making mistakes in order to make something perfect. I myself have learnt several languages and know many tricks that helped succeed at it.
I am happy to talk with the student and establish the goals and how to work towards them.

About José
Hello,

My name is José, I am from Spain and I am really excited to be your next Spanish teacher. I have been teaching for a long time and I am currently very involved in the design of teaching materials too. I will adapt and design personalized classes according to your needs.

I have been teaching for 4 years and I have ample experience with different age range. Whether you have to prepare for you high school exams or to pass those college classes I am here to help you.

I am a certified teacher from Spain. I majored in English in college and after that I got a M.A. in Education and Spanish teaching for foreigners.

Since then, I have worked for different institutions such as high schools in Spain, Middlebury programs, IES study abroad programs, and I am currently working as a language instructor at Pomona College.

I am passionate ab
out languages and I always try to keep up with the current language learning methodologies in order to offer the best to my students. For this reason, I not only became fluent in English but I learnt (and keep learning) German, French and Italian.

I believe that developing a good atmosphere and helping the students get over the fears of making mistakes is a key factor in language learning, and I will make sure to bring that to our lessons.

Highly recommended!

José is a fantastic Spanish language teacher. I have had him as an instructor in a university setting for two years. He is patient, insightful, and creative in his teaching methods, always keeping students engaged. He has taught me a lot about Spanish popular culture, both thematically and linguistically. He has also provided an appropriate balance of correction and encouragement: he helps me not feel embarrassed about my speaking, while simultaneously correcting my errors as I go. Five stars.

I would highly recommend Jose. He was very patient with me as I decided to start studying Spanish again at Uni in the US. He actually helped me correct my accent and my grammar very quickly. I appreciated the fact that he was a very open person and that he was also willing to adapt the level of English and Spanish for me as Spanish is a 3rd language for me (I'm French). Really nice and reliable person, I will take more lessons with him.

I love teaching people how to properly speak Spanish & make sure it is enjoyable! My focus is on full understanding and ability to master basics before introducing more concepts. I also work on enunciation and phonetics to ensure students understand how to say what they are learning correctly. I welcome questions!

I look forward to introducing you to an amazing and rewarding skill!

About Ciera
Buenos dias! I've been studying Spanish for 8 years. I have an extensive education in Spanish with a Bachelor's degree & 3 months of Spanish immersion at La Universidad de Salamanca in Spain. I taught ESL when I studied in Spain & fell in love with teaching language. Once I came back Stateside, I tutored in my University Tutoring center for the last year of my degree. I have translated for a few companies and had to learn how to sound "native" on top of fluently speaking the language.

I'm a native Spanish speaker, first generation American who grew up having to learn English as my second language. So I understand the difficulty of learning a second language. My lessons are focused on practicality and things you can use daily.

About Chilo
I'm a first generation American. Growing up in my household we only spoke Spanish, it wasn't until I started going to kindergarten where I was forced to learn English. I understand the struggles of learning a second language and my style of teaching is a practical one, one where you will use what you learn on a daily basis.

I have a 16-month-old son who I am teaching Spanish along with English. I have mentored students in Spanish for the past 10 years and translated for school districts and companies during that time.

When I visit my family in Texas and Mexico we still speak Spanish as the primary language, no Spanglish allowed at my parents house. Some of my interests outside of my Mexican culture including Martial Arts, Computers and Photography.

As a language learner myself, I truly understand the challenges of beginning a new language. This perspective has offered me the ability to create dynamic, conversational classes using the methodologies I have tried and tested on my own. I get to know my students on a personal level in order to understand their goals and help them to reach new levels in their Spanish journey.

About David
Hi! My name is David and I have been teaching languages for over 2 years now. I have been passionate about languages from an early age but now I also have found love teaching them. I was born and raised in Venezuela, so Spanish is my native language. However, I speak English very well in case you need it. I also have a TEFL certification that taught me and gave me a more professional perspective to bring to my classes. I have lived in 4 different countries in South America which has exposed me to a more broad knowledge of my own language.

I truly believe in the online education system. It helps us connect from the comfort of our homes. I'm very flexible and I adjust to each student's pace in order to achieve their goals. I'm open to hearing feedback and constantly checking on where I can improve. I will be happy to help you and join y
ou on this adventure. I know how hard it is and I have the skills and experience to show you how to succeed and not give up.

About Jonah
I am a professional writer and teacher of English and Spanish. I graduated from University of California, Davis, with a degree in Political Science and Economics.

I just finished a year and a half service in the PeaceCorps teaching both English and Spanish in the Dominican Republic. I taught advanced grammar lessons to native Spanish speakers. I, also, taught basic english (and a bit of advanced english) to all ages.

My service taught me how to care for a student's needs and the patience to show how each sentence needs to be grammatically structured. I love teaching both languages through conversation as it is the most natural way of learning how to speak a different language.

I have a passion for teaching languages and I hope you will highly consider me as a spanish/english instructor!
