Hi,
"I've been teaching Spanish for 13 years and my students have gone on to love Spanish language, culture, and study abroad. Some of my students continued studying Spanish in college and even be Spanish Honor classes. Some students even made it their major. We begin with easy sentences and then as time goes on, you'll be able to conjugate the verbs and able to make some sentences and short conversations. I am using a curriculum for young adults that I have used in my school teaching which includes Spanish culture and other subjects and we will have lots of material to accompany your lessons. I love working with students of all levels and make our lessons as fun as possible.

About Fulvia
Hi, my name is Fulvia, I am a native Italian and I am a fun teacher with long experience, great sense of humor and you won't get bored with my lessons. You don't believe me? Well, I can prove it to you because you can easily get referral from previous students who have studied with me for years! Just try!

Fulvia has been our teacher now for 3 years. We wanted to learn Italian because we travel to Italy often.
Each lesson is well prepared and thought through by the teacher. Fulvia uses many different ways to make lessons fun and the language more approachable.
They include books, videos and interactive games etc. There is always a bit of homework to do to help follow up with the weekly lesson. She always finds ways to help us understand subjects that are challenging.
That Fulvia is a native speaker of the Italian language is a big bonus.
Fulvia is a great teacher and we highly recommend her.

Early into lessons and have 3 remaining but, so far, so good. Fulvia is well prepared with learning materials and hand-outs. She is patient and thorough with each lesson and has followed up with emails in Italian to force me to translate. I have enjoyed and would highly recommend Fulvia.

Isabel is teaching my daughter for the last month and half and words fail to express my gratitude and happiness to find her as my daughter's teacher. She is very friendly, knowledgeable and designs the class based on my daughter's ability. I already seen lot of improvement in my daughter's Spanish speaking ability and also she is feeling confident. I am recommending her to my friend's and family who are planning Spanish lessons for their kids. Apart from Spanish she is fluent in Italian, German, French and Portuguese. A person who is affluent in so many languages really has the ability to understand the tricks of the trade in learning new languages and teaching new languages as well. We are going to continue with her for few more months and I am planning to take lessons as well. Overall, we are very very pleased with her teaching skills. Big Thums Up.

I recommend her to everyone who wants to learn Spanish.

Isabel is a lovely person and I enjoyed learning a bit of Italian from her. Her teaching materials, though, were pretty amateurish. Seemed like this was the first time she'd taught Italian to a beginner. The various documents did not have titles like "Lesson 1", "Lesson 2" etc, and the pages didn't have page numbers so we spent too much time getting to the same page. Materials did not match the sequence she taught in so we jumped around a bit. These things can be remedied easily as she teaches more. The topics she chose to teach a beginner were what you'd expect so no complaints there. One good thing was that she was very available for the time slots that were most convenient for me. All in all I'm satisfied with what I learned in the time we spent together.

Experienced teacher specializing in beginner and intermediate Spanish! Beginner courses consist of learning vocabulary for colors, animals, occupations, public places, household items, and family members, PLUS learning the alphabet, numbers (up to 100), present-tense verb conjugations, and “small talk” conversation. Intermediate courses focus on holding in-depth conversations, extensive reading and writing in Spanish, and verb conjugations in the present-progressive, preterite, and future tense. I’m fluent in both English and Spanish, so translating between the two languages throughout the lessons will help you gain a better understanding of what you are learning. I’m also willing to teach alongside any Spanish lessons you are taking in school. This will give you extra practice to excel in your academic courses. Message me with your goals for learning Spanish, and we can take it from there!

About Rae
I am fluent in Spanish as a result of taking lessons from kindergarten through college.

My Spanish teachers have come from Panama, Venezuela, Guatemala, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Peru, and Spain which allowed me to learn a variety of dialects in the process. For instance, my teacher from Spain taught me a completely different alphabet from the set of letters used in Mexico, and he also taught me the differences in pronunciation and certain vocabulary with Spain compared to other Spanish-speaking countries. Moreover, I’ve had a few teachers from the United States who were well-studied and provided extensive knowledge on speaking Spanish.

Learning Spanish was one of the best investments I’ve ever made. I consider this an investment because it takes sincere time, effort, and commitment to master the language, and the payoff is exploring a new s
kill, and opening a gateway to Spanish-speaking populations and learning about their respective cultures. It’s been easier to relate to those who speak Spanish, natively or taught, and it provides a sense of community. Not to mention, if there’s ever an emergency and the person you are speaking to only speaks Spanish, you can communicate with them and find help faster.

I encourage everyone to learn Spanish. For me, it’s been a journey of self-discovery, patience, and triumph. Perhaps you will enjoy the benefits of your journey, too.
