My teacher and I spoke by phone for my first lesson, but her phone had poor reception so I was not able to get the benefit of a full lesson. The second and third lessons were unsuccessful as well I need an alternative so that I can work with another teacher locally. I am not familiar enough with this on line process to be successful with my lessons. I have paid for lessons that i have not received. Please advise.

She was Fantastic. I am excited to continue. We had some technical difficulties in that I had trouble hearing her at times. The microphone seemed to be not working so well. She was 5 out of 5!

Spanish teacher with 10 years experience teaching and tutoring Spanish. Geographic area is Mexico. The goal is for students to be able to actively use the language and not be afraid to experiment. The focus is on meaningful conversation and reading authentic texts. Classes are creative, fun and held to 95% in the target language.

About Annika
My first tutoring experience took place in first grade when I was asked to assist a newly arrived Vietnamese girl with her English. I myself had learned English when I first came to the United States at three years of age and could relate well to some of the issues the newcomer was facing.

A true global nomad, I have lived in Germany, the U.S., Mexico and Russia and have traveled extensively. Starting with English and German, and eventually Spanish, French and Russian, I have been instructing students since 1989 in various countries of a variety of ages in a multitude of informal and formal settings.

In 1990, I received my Bachelor of Arts in Russian Studies from George Mason University. In 1995, I completed my Masters Degree in Secondary Education/Teaching English as a Second Language. After one year of working in a public school
setting, I began teaching privately and on a freelance basis for a number of private companies and language schools, and the government.

With over 20 years of Spanish language study and 3+ years of living in Spanish speaking countries, I have the experience to deliver the results you want.

I know first hand the limitations of most Spanish classes taught in the United States. We learn vocabulary and how to pass a test, but we rarely practice speaking. That's why my classes focus on empowering students to shed their fear and actually speak Spanish.

Through unique lesson plans, catered to your needs, I use fun examples and memorable songs to create an environment that promotes quick and sustainable improvements to your Spanish proficiency.

See below or email me about group rates or a sample lesson plan.

About Mark
Hey everybody! Hola and Ni Hao. My name is Mark and I'm an Organic Farmer with an International MBA and minors in both Spanish and Mandarin. With over 20 years of foreign language study, and 10 years teaching foreign languages, I know exactly what works and what doesn't when it comes to learning a new language.

I recently moved to Aurora in order to be closer to my family (I recently lived in China, Maui, and Alaska). I have the flexibility to work with you around your schedule and will create a customized lesson plan that fits your needs. I have extensive experience teaching small to large groups as well.

My only requirement of you is I request that my students be committed and dedicated to learning the language they choose for me to tutor. I assign homework every lesson that is very important to continuing the learning expe
rience outside of class.

Hope to talk to you soon!

Mark

I just finished 5 lessons with Mark and it was just what I needed to help me improve my speaking skills. He assigned homework each week (the reason I initially chose him) that was based on our lessons. It pushed me to grow. I found him to be quite competent, gentle with correction, and pretty funny. You'll enjoy him!
