Native Spanish Speaker who enjoys teaching through conversation while learning grammar in an effective method.
Hello there! I hope that in reading this you will find some valuable information in choosing the right teacher for you!
I am an opera singer by trade and I also have experience performing in contemporary bands, musical theater, solo piano concerts, as well as classical voice concerts.
I hold a Bachelor degree in piano and voice, a Master's degree in Vocal Performance, and an Artist Diploma in Opera.
I enjoy teaching as much as I enjoy performing because it's a way to share what I have learned and plant a seed in students who may want to take music seriously or just as a hobby.
I teach in a variety of styles pop, musical theater, and classical and I'm always open to what you as a student want to get from your lessons and tutoring. I've had a private studio for the past 5 years and have experience teaching in a grade sch
ool and collegiate levels of music. My students have ranged from 5 years old to Adult Senior age. All lessons and goals are targeted to your specific needs and desires and I'm always happy to be that guide who will help you perform in a healthy and enjoyable way.
Zaray has been my teacher for over 4 years and has been amazing! She taught me mostly everything about music and helped me get accepted into one of the best schools in Florida. I took singing lessons and piano lessons that helped me learn a lot, because of her I was able to preform in new York and attend the All-state elementary choir. Overall an excellent teacher, I really recommend!

Zaray has done such great work. She really takes the time to diagnose the problem with her stellar ear and to prescribe the best exercises to enhance the vocal mechanism. Not only does she have an abundant technical vocabulary, she really personalizes her style of teaching for each student. Apart from being technically a wizard, she is one of the most joyful people to be around. Her calm demeanor and easy going self really makes a student of every level comfortable. I highly recommend!!
Spanish is my very first foreign language that I've been studying off-and-on since 1995. My specialty is grammar but I also can go over vocabulary, pronunciation, and other topics. My Hispanic friends call me "Pablo" or "Pablito" and some people have even told me I speak Spanish better than I do English (whatever that's supposed to mean). I have both a BA and MA in Spanish and wrote my Master's thesis on Miguel de Cervantes' "Don Quijote de la Mancha."
I hail from Walla Walla, Washington, home of the "famous" sweet onions. I can't begin to express how much I love languages!! I have studied 8 so far (Spanish, French, German, Japanese, Portuguese, Italian, Swedish, and Dutch) and I teach 5 (Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, and Japanese), and want to keep learning new languages throughout the rest of my life. I love to work with students so that's why I've kept my rates low--to make sure more people can have the opportunity to learn these languages. I have a down-to-earth style and I allow my students to guide their own learning in a student-structured, individualized way. As of June 2019, I have taught multiple students different languages, among whom are three students I have been teaching between 7 and 9 months, who have all improved considerably and continue to progress steadily
. I am positive I can help you come to understand the wonderful world that is language and to learn how amazing it is to be able to say the same thing in so many different ways, and how much better it is to be able to communicate with someone in his/her native language instead of having to resort to English. Let's do this!!
Note: I have not had any connectivity problems for quite a while now so be assured that I can provide quality instruction with no issues.
Since I'm absolute beginner in Japanese, I found Paul to be the perfect fit for me. If you are young or adult (me) I would highly recommend taking classes with Paul at least for your beginning classes. I'm sure he would be the perfect fit for you too.

I'm a Certified Interpreter in Spanish (along with Romanian, French, Italian, and Portuguese) by the Defense Language Institute Monterrey, California. Since middle school I loved foreign languages which proved to be very rewarding starting with high school when traveling around the world with shooting competitions. Visiting Spain and Andorra, and traveling countries on five continents allowed me the affinity of learning more about the culture but also develop preferences for myself. I also learned various accents available in other parts of the world where Spanish is spoken.
Learning any foreign language opens doors in life whether on personal or professional level, and I sincerely believe that anybody can learn anything disregarding their age; in fact, I have friends who late in life decided to learn foreign languages or various skills that they always wanted to learn, so, I encourage you to do the same.
Before reading about me, I'd like to share up front the honor that my newest student, R., has brought to me by choosing to learn Romanian. Nothing special so far except that he is 100 years old!!!! Yes, you read that correctly: a century old. He is the outmost inspiring person in my life by teaching me that age is just a number and that learning can happen any day if we choose so. R is a medical doctor, a psychologist, a chemist and biologist. Words can't even define how great of a man he is and how grateful I am to learn from him, too. For instance, about a famous language called "esperanto", a language created in the late 19th century.
I'm an enthusiastic learner even after 19 years of formal education (two Masters, one Bachelor) earned on two continents continued by US military education in various forms, and formally tested studen
t who needed to document skills that were not formally captured on paper (like the foreign languages I know).
I love interacting with people and pass on my knowledge from five visited continents, instill love for learning and continuous curiosity for any subject out there. Nothing is impossible when you set your mind to it. Failing once doesn't mean that you'll never win (proof in my athletic years and life ever since); determination, hard work, self-motivation and a good supporting system can bring to reality even the most insignificant dreams that we believe may not come true, and especially those in which we passionately trust.
I believe in breaking down a goal into objectives, assigning tasks to each one of them, and then sticking to achieve them.
I'm a Certified Instructor with the Department of Homeland Security. My hobbies include practicing foreign languages (and proper grammar rules which highly reflect on one's education) by speaking them, learning about cultures and slangs, etymology, watching foreign movies, traveling internationally, taking photos, reading (a lot), carefully planning with room for error and impulsive decisions (to take the boredom out of things), meeting with life long friends, drawing, painting, and spending time outdoors for inspiration and health.
I'm elated at the opportunity of brainstorming with you and giving you tools to be an independent learner.

I love teaching people how to properly speak Spanish & make sure it is enjoyable! My focus is on full understanding and ability to master basics before introducing more concepts. I also work on enunciation and phonetics to ensure students understand how to say what they are learning correctly. I welcome questions!
I look forward to introducing you to an amazing and rewarding skill!
Buenos dias! I've been studying Spanish for 8 years. I have an extensive education in Spanish with a Bachelor's degree & 3 months of Spanish immersion at La Universidad de Salamanca in Spain. I taught ESL when I studied in Spain & fell in love with teaching language. Once I came back Stateside, I tutored in my University Tutoring center for the last year of my degree. I have translated for a few companies and had to learn how to sound "native" on top of fluently speaking the language.
"Hilda is the best. She makes learning fun and tailors the lessons to my abilities."
"I've been taking online classes with Ana for several months. Ana is my 4th Spanish instructor and by far the best. Ana tailors her lessons to her students
' needs and mixes her lessons with fun exercises and Spanish popular culture such as movies, videos, and online articles. Ana is very patient but also holds her students accountable -- to me a great combination when learning a language. I would highly recommend Spanish lessons with Ana."
"Bryce is extremely helpful and a brilliant teacher. He is kind and was always on time for our lessons. He was patient and extremely knowledgeable. I would
definitely recommend Bryce as a teacher."
"Great first start for our son, he is interested and looking forward to it"
"Javier is an excellent, caring teacher who sincerely cares about teaching Spanish to his students."
"Best language teacher I have ever had!"
"Outstanding, so much fun learning!"
"I've been working with Ana since August 2018, and she's been great. As I'm somewhat advanced, we mainly focus on conversation. What I like most about An
a is that she allows me to speak a lot, while correcting me when I make a mistake. Other tutors sometimes speak too much. Ana also selects very interesting material to work on during our lessons, which help build vocabulary. She can also provide good grammatical revisions if this is of interest. I highly recommend Ana!"
"just had my first lesson and I am very excited for next week!"
