I took 8 years of Spanish classes and lived in Ecuador where I used Spanish on a daily basis.
My teaching philosophy is to help students engage in learning. I find that a personal connection to new information makes it more engaging and meaningful, and students remember it better too. It's also more fun.
That being said, if learning is more readily achieved for your student through other methods, we will do whatever works best. I cater to results, because my ultimate goal is the student's success.

I have been a Spanish instructor teaching at the post-secondary level for seven years, where I have taught first and second-year Spanish as well as composition classes, and classes for Spanish heritage Speakers. As a Spanish instructor, I have had the opportunity to work with a diversity of students, from different backgrounds. As a Spanish instructor, one of the most important goals in class is to help students learn the language properly. Furthermore, one of my objectives is to motivate students fulfill their potential and imbued them an interest for the Spanish language as well as the Hispanic culture. It is also of my interest that my students get involved and enjoy non-academic activities where they can have the opportunity to practice the target language as well as the culture.
About Ana
My name is Ana (Profesora Ana). I am originally from México. I graduated in 2010 with an A.A. in Spanish for Heritage Speakers and an Integrative Studies of Women and Gender Certificate. In 2012 I earned a B.A. in Spanish. I finished my M.A. in fall 2014. Also, I am an active member of Sigma Delta
