I've been teaching Spanish (as well as French and English) for ten years off and on. I tailor the curriculum to the student whether they are simply taking a vacation or wish to live in a Spanish speaking country. I tailor the curriculum according to goals the student has in taking Spanish, any specific countries or cultures the student is most interested in, as well as professional goals.

About Jackie
Hi there! Thanks for taking the time to check out my profile. Just a side note, I DO have a background check just not through the company TakeLessons wants me to use. I have taught elementary and middle school aged children through this website (as well as adults.) I have experience tutoring high school students in Spanish and French as an undergrad in college. I also taught English abroad while I studied in Geneva, Switzerland. I have taught English as a Second Language as a volunteer in the city. This past year I have taught French, Spanish, and English as a Second Language through TakeLessons.

I am TEFL certified and have a B.A. in Political Science - concentration in International Politics, minors in French and Theatre.

There's a lot of ways I make sure my students practice understanding when hearing Spanish vocabulary.

Zaray has been my teacher for over 4 years and has been amazing! She taught me mostly everything about music and helped me get accepted into one of the best schools in Florida. I took singing lessons and piano lessons that helped me learn a lot, because of her I was able to preform in new York and attend the All-state elementary choir. Overall an excellent teacher, I really recommend!

Zaray has done such great work. She really takes the time to diagnose the problem with her stellar ear and to prescribe the best exercises to enhance the vocal mechanism. Not only does she have an abundant technical vocabulary, she really personalizes her style of teaching for each student. Apart from being technically a wizard, she is one of the most joyful people to be around. Her calm demeanor and easy going self really makes a student of every level comfortable. I highly recommend!!
