Hi guys. I've been teaching Spanish and English for over 18 years and my students have always gone on to C1 of the CEF. since the first few lessons, you'll be able to COMPREHEND, SPEAK, READ and WRITE, , and as time goes on you'll be able specialize in C1, I have developed my own technique but of course I use spanish sources for this matter. Every time I am in front of students, I feel just like when I have been in a concert in front of thousands of people. I really love teaching. see u soon!

About Sebastian
I am from Colombia where I used to be both, an English and Spanish Teacher. I did it for over 15 years and thanks God I did a great job in all institutions I worked for. My accent is from Bogotá, Colombia, and I have a very learned spanish level. Many people say that in Colombia, specially in Bogotá, you will find one of the best places to learn this language as our accent is neutral. I have developed a skilled and easy technique to teach this beautiful language. On the other hand I am an artist. If you are interested in learning and getting a high and fluent spanish level, with someone who feels passion for teaching, I am the one you need.

Initially I like to evaluate the student's current comprehension level (regardless of years studied) to better select the appropriate starting point. From there, if there is a specific subject matter or course work/syllabus for a class that needs to be followed, I can tailor lessons to fit those needs. Throughout lessons, I like to bring in elements such as cartoons, newspapers, movie clips, etc. to aid in understanding everyday usage & make learning practical and pertinent to the student.

**30 minute lessons are available for students interested in Conversational Spanish practice (for Intermediate/Advanced Only). Please send me a message if you are interested & we can discuss how to arrange through TakeLessons.

About Kenji Luis
I grew up speaking English, Portuguese & Japanese in a multilingual family and from a young age developed a strong affinity & penchant for languages. I attended an English-Portuguese Bilingual school through 6th grade and studied Japanese 4 years in high school, along with weekend Japanese school classes. In college I went on to major in International Relations & Diplomacy with a concentration in French studies, also honing my Spanish that I had picked up along the way (with Romance Languages, I have a very easy time of language absorption). I've gone on to work for international companies wherein my language skills have been highly sought after, translating & communicating often in all my language strengths.

Learning a foreign language can be challenging and frustrating! I believe it is important to ceate a friendly welcoming atmospher for learning, where students feel able to ask questions, make mistakes, and enjoy themselves. Without this freedom, learning a language is more dificult. I have experience teaching students of all ages - young and old. I have always built good rapport with students I teach.

My style is founded in the importance of communicative competency first. Research shows students learn best when they are free to make mistakes, and do not learn best by rote. Lessons will be tailored to students' needs/interests. We will learn throuh a specific topic drawing on the vocabularly and grammar associated with that topic rather than learning grammar or vocabulalry alone.

About William
I have been tutoring since 2014 when I worked in Spanish elementary school. Prior to that, I graduated from Exeter Univeristy with a Master's in Social and Political Philosophy and a Bachelor's degree in Politics from the University of Leicester. I also was employed by the prestigous tutoring service Titanium Tutors in London.

I teach Philosophy, Political Sciences, and History up to advanced level having covered these subjects extensivley over my college career. I can teach Spanish up to intermediate level having lived in Spain and studied at school, as well as English, Geography, and Religion. I am also happy teaching writing skills and preparing for exams.

I believe the best way for students to learn is through a dialogue, for them to show they understand. To acheive this, I avoid lecturing and rote learning. Instead, I set out cl
ear learning objectives at the start and then ask appropriate questions to ascertain the student's understanding throughout our lessons together. This way my lessons are personable, and geared towards the individual student's needs.

I also believe learning should be enjoyable. I create a fun, enthusiastic lesson environment. I have worked with students of all ages and have built good rapport with them all. I look forward to getting to know you and starting working together soon!
