French is such a beautiful language! No wonder a lot of poets and composers were and still are inspired of the sound of it! Whether you want to get better grades in school or you just be able to have a simple conversation on vacation I'd love to introduce you to the most beautiful language in the world!

About Chrissy
Originally born in Germany, Chrissy developed a passion for music, language and teaching early on. Right out of High School she helped her mother, who was an educator at that time, write and stage-manage a children's Musical which found great response from the audience. During her Music studies in the Netherlands she was offered an internship at the local Music School which she gratefully accepted and where she enjoyed her first voice coaching experience. There she was also nominated as one of the most promising young singer/songwriters at the LUX Festival in Nijmegen. Over the years she was blessed with more and more private students in voice as well as piano. During her stay in New York she received the opportunity to work with a Broadway show ensemble ("Dreamgirls") as a Music Director on their different harmonic parts. She's proudly b
een a member of the Music of Oz Studio staff in Crown Point, Indiana since Jan. 2011 and is looking forward to teaching out of her home now as well. Chrissy is crazy about all her students and wants them to succeed! She's very much looking forward to working with you and having buckets of fun! :-)

I have a B.A. in Foreign Languages and Literature issued by the University of Verona, Italy.

I have studied French for several years and I tutored it in the past. I will be very good to teach beginner to intermediate level.

About ENRICO
I am a native Italian speaker with a several years of experience in teaching Italian and English. I am a very easy-going, open-minded, professional person. I like to teach because it gives me the opportunity to meet new students, share my knowledge as well as my culture and experience.

I started tutoring back when I was attending the university in Verona, Italy. I was tutoring English, Math and some other subjects. Later on, I continued teaching English while I was working in other fields. In 2009 I moved to Los Angeles. For a couple of years, I taught ESL in a college, and in the meantime I tutored Italian to private students. Since 2009 I have been tutoring students both on the English and Italian subjects.

I really believe that in teaching, a language a primary focus should be on life skills. Not being an English native-speaker,
I learned how important it is to be able to express basic needs and to perform primary activities. However, it is important to consider other points like grammar, reading, writing. I also think that no matter what a teacher should always take into account the needs of the students and subsequently I plan my classes reflecting on the student's demands.

As to the different approaches and materials that I use, I suppose that it is important to change them frequently in order to keep the classes more interesting. Of course, there are some exceptions. For instance, in the past I taught for a while TOEFL and for that type of classes I used more traditionalist and academic methods and materials.

*** Lesson Details ***
Customized lessons to the students' needs and goals.

*** Specialties ***
- T.E.F.L. Certificate for Teaching English as a Foreign Language

- Italian Native Speaker with a several year experience in teaching Italian

- M.A in Foreign Languages and Literature (English and French)

One of my greatest passion is to cook. I was extremely lucky to be taught and introduced to the art of cooking by my grandmother. She was born at the beginning of the previous century and she lived in different cities so she got accustomed to different traditions and shared them with me. I love to cook for smaller groups, using traditional Italian ingredients to prepare simple, but exquisite dishes that belong to the tradition of my native country. If you want to experience some real Italian food, you are definitely in the right hands. Just sit back, relax sip a glass of Italian wine while I cook for you and I share my art.

From the get go I knew I had found the perfect teacher,
Enrico is a motivating teacher.
He challenges you to learn what you need by reading and discussing interesting materials he sends .it isn't just not doing verbs exercises and tenses but actually participating in actual situations as if you were in Italy .
Enrico quickly helps you get over the nervousness that students experience when reading out loud and discussing the meaning of words in sentences and their uses.

Isabelle is an incredible French instructor. If you work with her, you will learn French, from the first lesson, to the last!

I've been a student of Isabelle's for over 2 years now and I can honestly say that working with Isabelle is one of the best decisions I've made in my life!

Isabelle maximizes lessons of any size by:
-skillfully assessing where clients are in their journey
-identifying near and long-term goals
-masterfully coaching clients to maximize French language acquisition across both oral and reading comprehension and oral and written expression

With Isabelle's help, I obtained an A2 ranking on my latest TCF exam earlier this year! Practically speaking, I've been able to comfortably travel to Paris, France and Montreal, Canada with ease and ace a job interview with a Native Francophone speaker in a hybrid conversation in English and French!

You will be lucky to work with Isabelle on your language goals. I recommend that you work with Isabelle, and insist that you start today!

If you are able to read this, you have already mastered one language. This is called your 'mother tongue'. This is your most valuable resource in learning the way that a foreign language works. From your mother tongue, you will be able to recognize structural/functional similarities and differences that we will take advantage of in order to teach you French. My lessons do not aim to bog down the student with confusing and unnecessary grammatical jargon. Communication is the first priority. I use lots of mnemonics, heuristics and linguistic tricks to help you memorize vocabulary. For grammar, I draw it out of what you already know!

About Will
I graduated from Portland State University with a major in Applied Linguistics and a minor in French. My curious nature led me from my idyllic hometown (Silverton) to live at various times in New York City, San Francisco, Germany, France and China. Through teaching abroad, I was not only able to wend my way into personally enriching experiences, but to be of service. I ultimately found that service to be more satisfying than globetrotting.

I believe that analogy is the driver of cognition. This means that, as a teacher, my job is primarily to orient abilities that the student has already accrued towards new skills in a way that is personally salient for him or her. The most satisfaction I get as a teacher is when I see that my student has incorporated the skill that I was hired to impart, and I have been made obsolete.

The maj
ority of my free time is spent chasing my son, but I sometimes have time to play board games, or binge watch shows with my wife.

I believe French is a great language for people to learn. Recently, I spent a semester studying abroad at a university in Toulouse, France. For a majority of the time, I was immersed in the local culture and language, and I hope to use my experience to impart some of what I learned to others.

About Lena
I am a graduate student majoring in Music Performance for the Flute. Recently, I graduated from Mansfield University of Pennsylvania with degrees in both Music Education and Music Performance. During my time there, I participated in various ensembles, including their wind ensemble, orchestra, and their opera pit.

I am also proficient in piano, as I studied it from childhood for about twelve years to accompany my flute studies.

One of my greatest accomplishments so far was when I completed a study abroad experience in Toulouse, France. While I was there, I was permitted by the local conservatory to sit in and observe lessons taught by their flute professor, and at the end of the semester, I was able to have a lesson with him.

As a teacher, I hope to help my students grow as musicians using the techniques I've learned and experiences I'v
e gained as tools I can draw upon. I'm looking forward to meeting with you.

The Beginner's Guide to Violin Scales [Video Tutorial]
One of the most important aspects when learning how to play the violin is understanding scales. Learning scales will give you a solid foundation as you begin to explore new pieces of music. Violin Scales for Beginners Simply put, a violin scale is a series of notes, ordered by frequency or pitch, that span an octave (a consecutive set of eight notes.) For instance, to play a G scale, start by playing the lowest G on your violin (open G string.) Then, ascend up in pitch and play the notes i

Everything You Need to Know About Open Handed Drumming
It’s known by a few names: “Open handed drumming,” playing with a “left hand lead,” playing “uncrossed,” or simply “open.” Whatever you decide to call it, open handed drumming is a way of setting up and playing your drum set so that one hand doesn’t cross over the other while playing the time-keeping cymbals (like the hi-hats, or ride). It can equate to playing time with your non-dominant hand, and it also can mean playing the hi-hats or ride cymbals in unusual locations around the s
