Bonjour! Je m'appelle Rachel. I am a native French speaker, born in Paris, France and raised in Casablanca, Morocco. Not only will I be able to help you learn classroom French, I can help you hone your accent, and teach you slang to boot!

I've been teaching French for 6 years and my students have gone from total beginner to intermediate level. Within the first few lessons, you'll be able to introduce yourself and speak about basic conversational subjects and as time goes on you'll be able to speak about many more specific topics. I can work with you on your written and oral understanding skills as well as written and oral producing. I love working with students of all ages and experience levels and I can't wait to meet you!

I have been teaching French for 20 years and also have both Bachelor's and Master's degrees in the language, so my French level is that of a native speaker. I've also lived in France for extended periods of time, as well as having taught the languange in the Switzerland and the United States.

I teach to each students strengths and break down the grammar into easy to comprehend portions, as well focusing on the spoken aspect of the language; since it is the most important aspect of being able to communicate in the language. I utilise pictures, word association, songs, and a variety of techniques to reinforce and remember vocabulary.

In addition, I like to break lessons into 2-3 parts to avoid boredom on the part of the student. This can also include games specifically tailored to French-language learners.

Hello! My name is Belle and I am very happy to begin this journey with you! I have been a student of the French language for 10 years. I received my minor in French language from Portland State University and Université de Lyon 2. In 2016 I lived in Lyon, FR during my Junior year of college and absolutely loved it.
