She's FANTASTIC! I've never met a teacher like Mylene before. She really prepares a lot for your class and has so many helpful materials. She also makes sure that you review and study what you've learned in the class, which really helps me make a progress. I'm almost hesitant to write this review since I don't want her to become too busy! ;-)

I needed help with my SAT French SUBJECT test and I signed up with Mylene. I was glad I did because I got a lot out of my sessions with her. I just took the test and it was a whole lot easier than the first time. She was a great help.

It was a very good first class. From second 1 she addressed to me in French which I think is the best way to learn a new language.
She was really clear and in a really nice pace. Looking forward to my second lesson.

I was born and raised in Nice, France. I arrived in the United States in 2010, to study music in California. I got my Master degree from California State University Fullerton in 2010 and I am currently a doctorate student at the University of Miami.

I have taught French to foreigner people in France since I was 18 years old (my mother has been doing that for over 30 years now) and since I arrived here to adults and students.

Through private lessons I can help you get ready for exams and midterms, help you improve your french or just offer you to have a conversation with a native speaker. I love my culture and would love to share it with you if you are interested.

I am a seasoned language teacher, of both adults and children. Making languages come alive through interesting anecdotes, songs, and stories, is my specialty. My schooling, from age four to 14, was 100% in French. Boy, did those nuns drill us in grammar!

Bettina is very sweet and a good teacher, would reccomend her:)
I was unfortunately only able to take 5 lessons (wish I could have had more!) but she helped me learn how to start reading Hebrew, which seemed a very daunting task when I first began. Now I feel like it is not so bad, and I have the tools and confidence to continue.

Bettina, Is a wonderful teacher, Not only am I learning my Hebrew lessons from her but also Israeli culture, and she shares her experience of living in The Land of Israel. Today I learned the Numerical value of the Hebrew alphabet and when it may be necessary to know it.
Sometimes I get a little anxious learning a new concept because It may take time for me to grasp it, but I find this teacher very patient and non judgemental.

I'll provide individualized classes depending on what are the student's weaknesses and strengths. French is my first language so I can teach from basic grammar lessons to advanced conversations on specific topics. We can also study literature or subjects you might be interested in, like politics, or anything related to the French culture.

French is my second language, but often feels as it if were the first, as I have speaking it for so many years on an everyday and professional basis. My grammar is excellent, as I learned the rules in junior high school in the Paris suburbs (grammar is an important part of French schooling). I edited a 240-page scholarly book, De La Case A La Villa (published 2014), and I gave private lessons.
