This is my 7th year studying Spanish, and I couldn't be happier. I teach from middle school to college level Spanish. I have knowledge with in depth grammar constructions and vocabulary. With time and practice, I can guide you to being successfully able to read, write, listen, and speak in Spanish. My lessons are custom to each students experience level, and are taught at just the right speed. Learning a second language is much more enjoyable when there is not stress involved. It's never too late to start! ¡Hasta pronto!

About Sam
Hi! My name is Sam! This is my fifth year with TakeLessons and I couldn't be happier with the students that have come my way. If you're reading this, then you've taken the first step in finding a tutor that is right for you!

I completed two Bachelor's degrees at Worcester State University in Massachusetts. I have a B.A in Spanish and a B.A in Communication.

I love Spanish, and I believe that you can really get the hang of it after a little time and practice. With grammar review, practice, and vocabulary memorization, it becomes really easy to learn this language. I am more than happy to be here to help you learn this exciting language! Proper pacing is crucial to learning a new language. Therefore, I make each lesson customized for every student.

Every lesson, you will receive downloadable links with all of the content covered
in the lesson.

I also teach group classes. These are great for those that prefer larger classrooms and interacting with peers. Check out the Takelessons Live page and sign up for some of my classes!

Aside from Spanish, I also teach Adobe Photoshop & Photography. There are endless possibilities with Photoshop, and I am here to let you discover some of them. No experience? Tired of watching online tutorials with no feedback? Maybe you need a tutor to guide you through the process!

We will start off with layers and then go on from there, moving into the more intricate tools such as the pen tool, layer masks, and blending modes.

For photography lessons, I teach you the technical language you need to know when talking about photos. I will show you how to command your DSLR camera to get the exact photo you want.

Learning a new language can be intimidating. However, knowing more than just your 1st language can make any resume better, or even make you a more rounded individual. Spanish is almost just about everywhere and I use it almost everyday. I would love to teach beginning spanish to students to help them navigate through life.

About Kayla
Hi! My name is Kayla. I’m born and raised in New York. I currently work as a Quality Specialist at a manufacturing plant. No I do not use my passion for work, however I still play every chance I get. I’m currently looking for an jazz ensemble to join, in the mean time teaching will help me play with more reason, so help me out!

I began playing in elementary school and continued to play as I found it to be therapeutic. Since I learned in school, I can read notes. I also can improv. Jazz music is my speciality.

I’ve played in numerous ensembles and concert bands. I can play all saxophones, so all are welcomed.
If you’re looking for a laid back, play for fun, or play to just find a new hobby, I’m the teacher you’re looking for!

About Marina M.

I was born and raised in Puerto Rico. I currently major in music performance but I grew up in a family of actors. I was a child actress: TV and radio publicity. Therefore I know my way around good diction and pronunciation. Although, I can teach you slang as well if you want to mix things up and learn about different cultures.

I learned English in school but the way I learned the most was through immersion, therefore I am a firm believer of conversational Spanish. I understand that reading and sitting in a classroom in order to learn about grammar and syntax is crucial to learn a language. But if what you’re looking for is to get fluent and become fearless when speaking to natives, there’s nothing that can substitute immersion.

I look forward to meeting you all!

“¡Hasta luego!”.

About Marina
I started playing violin when I was 5. I am originally from Puerto Rico and I moved to the United States with the purpose of preparing for my violin college auditions. I got accepted into Peabody conservatory, Cincinnati conservatory and Temple university. I decided to study at Temple but later transferred to a Conservatory where they offered me a full scholarship ( I decided not to mention the name of the institution for security purposes). I also play viola and I’m in love with its sound and amazing possibilities. It is definitely an undermined instrument but if you know how to get the most out of it, the possibilities are infinite.

As a professional musician I have played with different orchestras around Philadelphia, Puerto Rico and NY. But when I was in high school I was concertmaster of my high school orchestra. With such orchestr
a I played in Carnegie Hall as part of an orchestral competition. We won gold medal. That has definitely been one of the greatest experiences as a musician.

Like I already mentioned I was born and raised in Puerto Rico. I was a child actress but I’ve been always more inclined to music. I got back to acting about two years ago and I love it. Once I graduate from my music performance degree I will definitely start acting more often.

Feel free to reach out and ask me about my teaching style and experience as a musician.
