Spanish is my second language. My mother was a Spanish teacher in the elementary school level and used music as an amazing resource for teaching Spanish to kids. I'll use the same techniques and ideas, as well as focusing on reading and writing the very romantic language.

About Olivia
I love to create. The way I'm most comfortable creating is through writing; whether it's a song, a short story, a poem or a script. Writing has always been the bass line in my life; the heartbeat.

Music and film are both passions of mine. I graduated from Berklee College of Music where I studied Songwriting and Music Therapy. I was pushed to my absolute limits lyrically and musically within these majors, and I am so grateful for it now that I'm on my own creative journey.

I have a great deal of experience, but I am also still learning. I think it is very important as a teacher to always be learning, especially through their students. Teaching these lessons is, of course, about progress and advancement - but also about enjoyment, confidence building and positive encouragement.

I'm a classical violinist, a loving single mother, and a independent business owner for life, health and accident insurance through AFLAC from New York. I am a very accomplished musician performing in many venues and events such as the Long Island String Festival, NYC All County Music Festivals, Valley stream District 13 Music Festival, NY All State Concert, NYSMMA Music competitions, and yes even Carnegie Hall with the NY Metropolitan Youth Principle Orchestra 1st Violin. Ive learned that nothing of value in life comes without blood sweat and tears but it is worth it.

The things I love most in life are my son and providing for our family. On week days, you'll usually find me prospecting potential clients to help with their benefits for employees in any type of weather, for my independent business through AFLAC. On the weekends I like
to take my son with my dogs (sometimes) to the park, museums, and church or teach him the various wonders of life.

Want to learn a new language? How about learning Spanish ? It doesn't matter if you know anything about it. I can teach you at any level and you will become an excellent speaker and writer. I'm from Venezuela and Spanish is my mother language. I have 5 years of experience teaching.

About María
Hello!! I'm Maria Fernanda

I am a business administrator and I currently live in Madrid Spain where I am doing a Master in Business Analytics and Strategic Data.

In my spare time I love teaching English(basic and intermediate level) and Spanish(all levels).
My teaching method is always depending on the student interest. Generally I try to do it the most fun, interesting and entertaining possible.
I have a special rule: no other language allow in class(just Spanish or English depending on what language I'm teaching). I believe that the most efficient way to start learning a new language is to think, listen and speak just in that language. Of course I could be flexible if the student doesn't speak that new language at all.
In my hometown (Venezuela) I had experience teaching basic English in an elementary school and teaching priv
et lessons for kids and teenagers as well.

Let me know if you are interested in taking classes with me.
Don't lose the opportunity to learn Spanish with a native speaker!

¡¡Hola!!

If you're looking for top-tier, enjoyable, results-driven tutoring, send me a message. I've been helping students ace their next Spanish exam, paper, project, or standardized test, for over 10 years. But more importantly, I build lasting relationships with my students – meeting on a regular basis; covering all aspects of skill-building, test prep, and organization; and acting as a consistent presence in the student's life. I currently tutor high school students in New York at Horace Mann, Riverdale, Trinity, Collegiate, and Dwight Englewood, as well as adults and younger students.

About Jesse
I'm a professional Spanish and English tutor with over 10 years of experience teaching at the high school, middle school, and college levels.

I hold a masters degree from Harvard University, a Bachelors degree in Spanish language and Political Science, and a teaching certificate from the Fulbright Scholarship program.

I currently tutor high school students in New York at Horace Mann, Riverdale, Trinity, Collegiate, The United Nations School, and Dwight Englewood.

I help students of every age ace their next Spanish or English exam, paper, or standardized test.

But just as important, I build lasting relationships with my students based on mutual trust and respect. My students come away from tutoring sessions energized, with a sense of confidence and motivation. I believe that meetings with a tutor should be enjoyable, and they
should inspire students to work smart and work hard.

After studying at the University of Havana, in Cuba, I wrote peer-reviewed research, which was published in the journal "Cuba in Transition." A year later, I was awarded a Fulbright grant to teach and conduct research in Montevideo, Uruguay. There, I worked with the U.S. Embassy to create a series of new language courses in public schools.

I speak and write fluently in Spanish. But as a native English speaker, I've learned the Spanish language from the ground up, just like my students.

For both English and Spanish I am an expert in test prep, essay composition, IB/AP, and SAT II.

If you're looking for top-tier, enjoyable, results-driven tutoring, send me a message.

A knowledgeable and patient educator, Jesse has found a teaching style that perfectly balances challenge and inspiration. As a doctoral candidate in the sciences, it is important for me to assert my knowledge of a topic while capturing the attention of the reader. Jesse has taught me to transform bare facts and ideas into structured, sophisticated passages. He has played an active role in building my self-confidence and has helped me find an authentic writing voice to more clearly and elegantly express my thoughts. I am grateful to have his guidance and am eager to vouch for his excellence as a tutor.

I am so lucky that I found Jesse! He is thoughtful, thorough, patient, and kind, and his lessons always felt like they were tailored specifically to me and my needs. Even his teaching materials were personalized to include my name and phrases that only I would need to use (i.e. I'm an actress and piano teacher, and I've been living and working in NYC for over ten years). Highly recommended!

I have been teaching Spanish since 1973, when I was 20 years old.
I did it for 10 years long (and still do) and I used so many methods that I finally came up with my own method to teach students of any age, any background and any motivation to learn a system that efficient, that will have you speak Spanish, and have a normal conversation from lesson one! I focus on verbs and practical conversation but no nonsense stories most books have. Books are only optional! And I am available also in between lessons and for as long as you need me in your lifetime with no retainer fees! The vocabulary is Latin American real life as you see it in the news! And best of all, I speak Spanish since I was 7 years old, when I used to live in Uruguay! I speak and teach 7 languages, soI know what is is to learn a foreign language and I know how to make it easier for you!

About Robert
My name is Robert M. I have a Spanish Teaching Degree from The Netherlands and I started teaching since 1973. I also have an Associate Degree in Applied Arts in Advertising Design from the Art Institute of Houston. I combine art with any language to teach children up to 2nd grade to make it fun. For any other student, I use my innovative method without books, some sites in the net and we immediately start speaking the language the student wants to learn. But I still have the best books on demand if needed. I customize my lessons to the needs of my students and I am available 24/7 for any questions to make it as easy as possible for my students, no matter their age. I make learning fun and interesting for all my students because I love what I am doing!

Come on this journey with me and learn Spanish. I promise you fun filled lessons every single session! I incorporate popular Latino music to help my students to remember what I taught when they hear a line. I promise to answer all your questions. Instead of viewing Spanish as a subject, let's go on a cultural ride together. Learn more than just a language. Learn a lifestyle. Become more marketable with a second language under your belt. And let us make that happen together.

About Kimberley
Hello!! Welcome to my profile. My name is Kimberley Smith and I am a Jamaican by birth. I speak Spanish as a second language (and currently practicing Korean as a third.) I am a language enthusiast and have been tutoring since 2016.

While learning Spanish I had my fair share of boring lessons that felt as though they dragged on and on. I make sure that whenever I teach my students are well engaged in the lesson and that they learn a few Spanish culture fact every week!

With me as your teacher you will stop saying "Spanish is hard ;-(" and say instead "Spanish is fun!! :-D". No matter how old or young you are you will feel comfortable as my student. I will answer all your questions and ensure that every single session we have together, you will leave with the confidence that you have learnt something new.

I spent some time in Cuba and
learnt a lot about Cuban culture and I communicated with ease with the Cuban nationals. I had only been in high school when I had that ability so trust me, If i could do it, you can do it too!!

Expect to be motivated and encouraged to do your absolute best.

I received distinguished awards during my course of study for excellence in Spanish. In the upcoming year I hope to pursue a Bachelor's degree in Spanish at the University of the West Indies - Ranked #5 in the Region.

My personal passion (outside of languages of course) is serving in the health care industry, helping the less fortunate as a Medical doctor (I haven't completed studies for this as yet but I am working towards it).

I'm a native Spanish speaker, first generation American who grew up having to learn English as my second language. So I understand the difficulty of learning a second language. My lessons are focused on practicality and things you can use daily.

About Chilo
I'm a first generation American. Growing up in my household we only spoke Spanish, it wasn't until I started going to kindergarten where I was forced to learn English. I understand the struggles of learning a second language and my style of teaching is a practical one, one where you will use what you learn on a daily basis.

I have a 16-month-old son who I am teaching Spanish along with English. I have mentored students in Spanish for the past 10 years and translated for school districts and companies during that time.

When I visit my family in Texas and Mexico we still speak Spanish as the primary language, no Spanglish allowed at my parents house. Some of my interests outside of my Mexican culture including Martial Arts, Computers and Photography.
