I have been a Spanish instructor teaching at the post-secondary level for seven years, where I have taught first and second-year Spanish as well as composition classes, and classes for Spanish heritage Speakers. As a Spanish instructor, I have had the opportunity to work with a diversity of students, from different backgrounds. As a Spanish instructor, one of the most important goals in class is to help students learn the language properly. Furthermore, one of my objectives is to motivate students fulfill their potential and imbued them an interest for the Spanish language as well as the Hispanic culture. It is also of my interest that my students get involved and enjoy non-academic activities where they can have the opportunity to practice the target language as well as the culture.
About Ana
My name is Ana (Profesora Ana). I am originally from México. I graduated in 2010 with an A.A. in Spanish for Heritage Speakers and an Integrative Studies of Women and Gender Certificate. In 2012 I earned a B.A. in Spanish. I finished my M.A. in fall 2014. Also, I am an active member of Sigma Delta

Most language classes are not effective because teachers do not use the most effective learning strategies, and they do not engage student's interest. With me as your teacher, we will discuss your interests, and topics that are relevant to you. We will also spend a lot of time listening to and talking about your favorite songs, books, and movies.

I have been teaching Spanish since 1973, when I was 20 years old.
I did it for 10 years long (and still do) and I used so many methods that I finally came up with my own method to teach students of any age, any background and any motivation to learn a system that efficient, that will have you speak Spanish, and have a normal conversation from lesson one! I focus on verbs and practical conversation but no nonsense stories most books have. Books are only optional! And I am available also in between lessons and for as long as you need me in your lifetime with no retainer fees! The vocabulary is Latin American real life as you see it in the news! And best of all, I speak Spanish since I was 7 years old, when I used to live in Uruguay! I speak and teach 7 languages, soI know what is is to learn a foreign language and I know how to make it easier for you!

I don't come from a Spanish-speaking family, nor is my family from a country where Spanish is spoken. Yet every time I open my mouth to speak Spanish, I'm asked where I am from. I have a near-native accent that leaves little trace of my Anglo roots. I often make people guess what country I'm from, and I've heard every …
