For over 7 years of professional experience as Russian/French/ESL teacher, I have worked with all types of students with different learning styles and various goals: taught within U.S. public education institutions, provided private classes for children and adults, developed and i
mplemented individualized syllabus for diplomats, high rank executives at multinational companies, employees of U.S. Embassy and Department of State.
Thanks to all my students, current and former, I am now confident that every individual, willing to learn one of the languages I teach, without a doubt, has everything it takes to succeed when the right approach is applied.
It is one on one program, thouroughtly personalized and organized according to your interests (general and professional), schedule, final goals, learning style and many other important elements to be taken into account.
Each session is 50 minutes.
Every session is prepared to reach a particular goal and structured in the way to have a maximum profit from "teacher - student" part of learning. Supporting materials are sent after each session: grammar notes, retention exercises, homework assignments, audio and video files as phonetic exercises and listening practice. The content of these materials is permanently tested and modified in order to achieve the best way to engage each individual student's language acquisition mechanisms.
Teacher's support 24/7.
Extra curricula content: idiomatic language components, cultural studies (traditions, history, literature, cinema and language related etymology), recommendations for independent language practice.
The way I see it, with each new student - there is a new process in my head that starts and constantly creates and improves techniques, ideas, method components, teaching style e.t.c for getting this particular student to do the best he or she can.
More recommendations can be provided upon request.
Very thorough and patient in helping my 10 yr old daughter with new language.

Roman helped me understand the grammar better by using repetition and real life applications of when to say what. The material is given to you by Roman in great detail with his modules and it also helped me expand my vocabulary a substantial amount thanks to his methods. He helped me understand Russian better. Definitely recommend !!!

I have been studied with Roman for years. He is caring, attentive and very passionate about teaching and sharing what he know. He is the best teacher ever!
I'm a Certified Interpreter in French (along with Romanian, Italian, Spanish, and Portuguese) by the Defense Language Institute Monterrey, California. Since middle school I loved foreign languages which proved to be very rewarding starting with high school when traveling around the world with shooting competitions. Visiting France and other French speaking countries on three continents allowed me the affinity of learning different accents and slangs of the same language.
Learning any foreign language opens doors in life whether on personal or professional level, and I sincerely believe that anybody can learn anything disregarding their age; in fact, I have friends who late in life decided to learn foreign languages or various skills that they always wanted to learn, so, I encourage you to do the same.
Group students are welcome at a special rate.
Before reading about me, I'd like to share up front the honor that my newest student, R., has brought to me by choosing to learn Romanian. Nothing special so far except that he is 100 years old!!!! Yes, you read that correctly: a century old. He is the outmost inspiring person in my life by teaching me that age is just a number and that learning can happen any day if we choose so. R is a medical doctor, a psychologist, a chemist and biologist. Words can't even define how great of a man he is and how grateful I am to learn from him, too. For instance, about a famous language called "esperanto", a language created in the late 19th century.
I'm an enthusiastic learner even after 19 years of formal education (two Masters, one Bachelor) earned on two continents continued by US military education in various forms, and formally tested studen
t who needed to document skills that were not formally captured on paper (like the foreign languages I know).
I love interacting with people and pass on my knowledge from five visited continents, instill love for learning and continuous curiosity for any subject out there. Nothing is impossible when you set your mind to it. Failing once doesn't mean that you'll never win (proof in my athletic years and life ever since); determination, hard work, self-motivation and a good supporting system can bring to reality even the most insignificant dreams that we believe may not come true, and especially those in which we passionately trust.
I believe in breaking down a goal into objectives, assigning tasks to each one of them, and then sticking to achieve them.
I'm a Certified Instructor with the Department of Homeland Security. My hobbies include practicing foreign languages (and proper grammar rules which highly reflect on one's education) by speaking them, learning about cultures and slangs, etymology, watching foreign movies, traveling internationally, taking photos, reading (a lot), carefully planning with room for error and impulsive decisions (to take the boredom out of things), meeting with life long friends, drawing, painting, and spending time outdoors for inspiration and health.
I'm elated at the opportunity of brainstorming with you and giving you tools to be an independent learner.
Growing up in Canada, I attended French Immersion school from Pre-K to 5th grade, where everything was in French. From 6th-Bachelor's degree I studied Advanced French and studied abroad in France. I have taught French to a student who was learning English for the first time as well, with great success.
Making a connection and bringing out your inner AWESOME is what I do best. As a full-time teacher, I can guarantee you the best quality service. I am more than willing to work with you and take you to the highest level. I have been singing, teaching French and ESL for some time now. That being said, I promise to bring the same energy every time we have a lesson. Take a chance and sign-up for a lesson. Let's get started!
I grew up about twenty minutes from the border with France and got to go there regularly from early on. I started learning French when I was 12 and started teaching it when I was 15 because, believe it or not, I enjoy the sometimes weird grammatical complexities of French.
At university I took advanced classes to continue learning and when I went to study in Canada I lived in a shared house with six native speakers of Canadian and European French. This year I spent the spring in Morocco and Togo where I got to experience two more varieties French.
I consider myself highly Francophile, enjoy reading in French and take pleasure in teaching it. Explaining grammar, spelling, pronunciation and difficult features of the language are my assets as I have been largely successful in sharing them with students, friends and acquaintances over the years.
Hola, hallo, olá, ciao and bonjour !
My name is Viktor Malu and I'm a well-traveled linguist who is passionate about the nature and manifold applications of language. I have either lived or spent significant time in places where the languages I speak are alive and I strive to spark linguistic enthusiasm in the people around me. I have a talent for using existing knowledge of language, which we all have, even unknowingly, to make learning or improving a new language easier. Languages are vivid, fun, and adventurous, they often require patience and thrive with motivation - just like my classes!
I have recently graduated in Applied Intercultural Linguistics (B.A.) from the University of Augsburg, Germany. This is an interdisciplinary program that includes linguistic theory and practice as well as didactics and cultural studies. It allowed
me to spend two years studying and living in the English-, Spanish- and French-speaking Americas and Portugal.
I started tutoring in English, French and Spanish when I was 15 and have continued teaching languages professionally and as a volunteer in a variety of settings, such as a private tutoring institute, a secondary school in Costa Rica, at university (phonetics and phonology), at an NGO's school for refugees and at a language school for adults and young professionals.
Let me be your source of knowledge, experience, wisdom and enthusiasm! Ready to tap in?
If you get a chance to learn with Viktor you can consider yourself very lucky! He tought me spanish for over a year before I went to Colombia and it was thanks to his help that I could get a good grip of the language so fast and am now fluent. What I found so special about him was the incredible combination of knowledge, teaching skills and personal warmth. In other words: You will learn a lot, in a very eficient manner and gain a friend at the same time! Thank´s a lot Viktor it was absolutely great to learn with you, I hope to see you soon!
French is one of the most difficult languages to learn. Thank God it's my first language! With me, you won't only learn the textbook stuff (grammar and vocabulary), but you will also learn how things are actually said IN REAL LIFE. In case you didn't know, the dialogs they have in those textbooks seem like they come from the 17th century. Back to why I would be a good French tutor. Well, learning a new language is fun! What better way to do so with a native speaker? You need a friend to practice the language with. I will be that friend!
Hey you! Comment tu vas? Whether you are learning French as a prerequisite, or just for fun, having someone to speak with is the way to go! I'll create an environment where you can have fun learning the language, including the grammar and vocabulary. I know a lot of people say that French is hard, but it doesn't have to be. Book a lesson with me and I will prove them wrong! So excited to meet you!
I come from a bilingual; French American family. This allows me to communicate effectively with the people that are wanting to learn. We will go from the basics, working our way up.
I have been shooting since 2005. Since, then I have been on the USA Archery National Teams several years in a row, as well as traveled to international countries to compete. I have been on the Recurve Junior Dream Team for a year, before I aged out, but before that I was attending camps as an invitee. I've also lived at the Olympic Training Center out in Chula Vista, CA for a few months shooting besides some of the top archers in the country. Since in college, I have been on the archery teams at all the schools I've been to. I was All American for two years in a row, hoping for a thrid chance at it. At the Florida Institute of Technology, I have started up an Archery Club, hoping to get the team to nationals, placing the school on the map for other archers to join.
I am a Level 2 Coach, aiming for her level 3 NTS Coaching Certificatio
n, and with my background experience I want to introduce this amazing sport to all individuals so they can also enjoy it to their hearts content. I used to coach at a range in Massachussets, as well as give private lessons at home, before moving down to Melbourne for college. I also make custom recurve bow strings, and tune equipment.
I provide private lessons, helping the students get comfortable with the sport before getting them to farther distances. I want the studnets to love thst sport that I do, by intergrating games into practices. When and if the students want to do group lessons, those can also be arranged to allow them to get used to shooting with their peers.
I love being able to teach people the sport that changed my life. I love seeing the smile on the childrens faces when they accomplish things they didnt excpect. I love seeing the expression on adults faces when they over come their doubt, and learn to enjoy the sport and relax into it.
"I would highly recommend Pascale to anyone searching for a French teacher. Pascale is a very good instructor. I had different instructors and classes in
