Depending on the student's need, you can expect a more customized work agenda in order to assist the student to reach the goal. We work together during the tutoring time and the student can expect to get some "homework" to maintain the lesson fresh. (Unless the student is getting help with an already existing class, then we follow the guideline of the class as our path to success)

Puedes hablar español? I grew up in Los Angeles, so I had it around me at all times. I finally was able to properly learn it when I moved to Quito, Ecuador, using my past knowledge of French to learn it on the go. I then traveled all around South America, and people tell me I have a pretty funky accent, which I love.

Students will develop a strong vocabulary while using a technique that build healthy vocal habits. Many aspects of every day actions will be applied through songs that help exemplify the Spanish language.
Diction, interpretation, reading and writing exercises, support and focus, all of this while having fun!

I teach in a way that is as focused on the grammar as you want to be. I prefer conversational classes, but for many in traditional classes it is the grammar that they are not understanding.

I want to demonstrate magic of learning to communicate in another language. Using the student’s textbook, my goal is to demonstrate and explain the nuances of the language, so that the students can learn to use the language themselves.

Mrs. B is a wonderful and dedicated teacher who focuses diligently during class sessions. She thoroughly explains terms and technique and is friendly and sociable. Her extensive knowledge of languages comes extremely useful in Italian arias and other folk songs as to explain the meanings of words and to convey motion. Her classes are enjoyable and fun, while still being comprehensively academic.

Spanish: I substitute taught in Spanish, then volunteered to help adults in a local group of people learning Spanish. After hearing many of them thank me for my help in understanding the grammar and vocab., I started teaching on my own!
I've taught people from age 3 1/2 to age 78 (for children under 7 years old, a parent/guardian needs to join them for the lesson)! I've helped adults increase their job security by becoming more fully fluent, while for others the goal was simply to stimulate the mind with casual lessons.
For children, I've tutored both private and public school students. Am looking forward to helping homeschooling parents have a break from our current situation!! That's where I come in for an hour so parents can rest!
