And I absolutely love it !! I can proudly say that I am proficient in the language. I can speak fluently , understand and write fluently in Furigana (Hiragana and Katakana) I've learned from courses, friends, programs, music, immersion, books etc, you name it I've done it and has had major success. I will teach in a fun and interactive way and we will build up from the fundamentals of words to complete sentences. You WILL be proficient and comfortable in Japanese in no time !
I have 12 years experience in teaching Japanese as a tutor. I also am a Native if English and now added ESL as a subject to teach, so any one interested in the English Language is welcome ! Occupation wise I am a Electrical Engineer Major, Entrepreneur, Author, Motivational Coach and Language Enthusiast. I am a firm believer that we really can do anything we put our minds too. My main focus and purpose is to HELP and add VALUE to as many lives as possible. I am solely interested in the progression and success of the student. It is my duty for me to teach you as much information on the Language in the most comprehensive way possible.
I'm originally from Long Island City, New York. I had a teacher of Japanese descent and she always brought her culture to the classroom. I was 10 years old, and I used to ask her questions about the way she
would dress and her mannerisms and she would tell me anything I wanted to know. The culture is where it began for me, but the language is what took me on a whole different level of mentality and understanding.
I began learning the language at the age of 12 from a Japanese friend. At age 14 I learned from online courses and music, it was so intriguing to me that I began self study. At age 17 is when my listening skills began to kick in. I was understanding not only music but some Anime, this is when it really got fun lol. At age 20, is when I reached advance speaking proficiency and was able to understand LIVE dialoge from Natives. I am now 27. I am excited to teach and speak fluent japanese to you guys so you can hear it in it's native form.
So Anthony why should I choose you to be my teacher?
#1 I am literate in Japanese, I speak proper and perfect English so you will understand me lol.
#2 I will talk to you in a relatable way, so you will not feel like you're in a boring lecture, Japanese is an exciting language, so you do not need to feel like you're preached to.
#3 I will make this fun and interactive, keeping you engaged from beginning to end, wanting to know more. Most importantly I will give you as much information in the time given, so you can leave knowing your money is well spent.
#4 Lastly I can teach you formal and informal Japanese. I will give you all the key components to the Japanese Language without the fluff. In most language instruction there are key things to know mixed with fluff. This is what makes students lose interest or get confused. There will be no fluff in my class, everything that I teach you will be a key component to your language learning success.
So what are you waiting for ? Your success starts here !! Let's do this !! :)
こんにちは！ I'm a native speaker if Japanese. I've been tutoring Japanese for 10+ years in Japan and the U.S. I love talking about cultures, traveling, hobby, etc. I'd love to hear what your goals are and customize my lessons. :) Let's get started!
My name is Kyoko. I am a native speaker of Japanese, born and raised in Japan. (As you might guess, my name came from the beautiful city of Kyoto.) When I was in college in Osaka, Japan, I started helping a lot of exchange students with their Japanese. Since then, teaching Japanese has been my passion. I enjoy explaining the grammar until my students fully understand it.
I moved to the U.S. In 2005. Currently I'm raising three bilingual children.
I love photography, crafts, watching anime, and traveling. I'd love to talk to you about all kinds of things. :)
Wow, I want to give ***** 6 Stars! If you are wanting to learn Japanese, then Kyoko is the perfect teacher that anyone could ask for!
I felt embarrassed to seek help to learn Japanese, because after many years of living in Tokyo for my work, I only knew a few small communicating words here and there... arigato, genki etc... and the writing, well that was 'impossible' to read for me!!
Kyoko was very understanding and made me feel completely comfortable about learning the Japanese language from the beginning. At almost 40 years old and trying to push my brain into learning something new, this was challenging and made me nervous at times. But Kyoko is an amazing teacher and when I finished a lesson with her, I was so proud with what I had accomplished and she made me feel empowered and more driven. I can now understand words in hirigana!! It is amazing to me.
I thank Kyoko so much for her help and support with the lessons we had together :) I will do my best.

Kyoko has been an amazing Japanese teacher to my 8 year old daughter. Her lessons are customized to what the student wants or needs to learn. Most importantly she listens and gives great advice for improving your skills. Kyoko is a great teacher who truly cares about your progress. I’ve tried other teachers and my daughter and me like Kyoko the best by far. So much so, she has been my daughter’s teacher for over 3 years.
Kyoko is extremely knowledgeable and is authentically Japanese born and raised in Japan but has lived in the U.S. for awhile now and is natively fluent in English for parents who may not understand Japanese. Her communication and timeliness are amazing! I’d recommend her to any of my friends and family - and have.
With over 8 years experience in tutoring, I have learned what methods work and those that don’t. I’m upbeat, patient, easy going, empathetic, and generally well-liked by others. I’m very good at adapting to different learning styles and have a knack for eliciting the best out of my students through motivation and positive reinforcement.
Throughout university, and after, I mentored many students with great results. In addition to academics I helped them get the most out of their college experience. Everyone I helped benefited greatly, and one runs a very successful consulting business.
I recently returned from spending 2 years in Japan. My current level is JLPT N4.
Whether you're completely lost, just need a little help, or need some test/note taking tips I can be very helpful. My patient, easy going, and positive mindset is very conducive to creating a great learning atmosphere. I can also be very useful to those that aren't motivated, I have a knack for finding the source of motivation for others.
Are you frustrated with the college application process? I can assist in this area and in aclimating to college environment. I've mentored many students through college, with great success.
It's first time for me that I teach somebody Japanese as a teacher. I've taught a lot of my foreign friends Japanese by taking about culture, travel tips and food. What I will do in my class would be having a daily conversation with me. How I studied English was I always asked questions like "what does this mean?" "how do you say this in English?" so in my classes ASK me questions about Japanese! I think it's the quickest way to learn languages :)
Hi my name is Yuna. I'm born & raised in Osaka, Japan and living in Fort Worth now. I studied English without any serious studying. I studied English by meeting & interacting with a lot of English speaking people. I would like to teach you Japanese in the same way as I learned English. So what I offer in my class is that you will have a chat with me like you are in cafe and having a fun chat with your friends! You are welcome to question me about Japanese culture, sight-seeing places, food and some travel tips too. P.S I've lived in Oahu, Hawaii too so if you guys want to have a chat with me about Hawaii hit me up too ;) I am so excited to meet you all :) Thank you!
Do you want to understand your favorite anime show, movies or Japanese culture better? Do you want to learn to crack jokes in Japanese and win any crowd over? Would you like to do business in Japan and need someone who can not only teach you the language, but cultural differences and etiquette so you can win over any client?
Japanese and English are polar opposites in many ways. Sentence structures are upside down. English is written horizontally left to right, but traditional Japanese is written vertically right to left. Communicating can be difficult when what can be spoken directly in English has to be said in more subtle ways in Japanese, and this miscommunication can cause relationships to break down.
My passion is to help people cross cultural barriers and make new friends. Learning a new language can build confidence and expand your mind in ways you never thought possible!
One of the signs that you have truly mastered a language is to understand the humor. I can ...
I was born in Fukuoka, Japan and moved to the US when I was 18. I studied ESL then got a degree in marketing and worked in Real Estate and Finance for many years. I learned English from scratch when I moved to California and am now completely fluent in English, so much so that people can’t believe I’m not from here. My work takes me back and forth between Japan and the US, and I am so grateful to have a deep understanding of both the Japanese and Western way of life and be able to celebrate the two.
Masaki fosters a learning environment where he takes all of the hard work of learning a new language transforms it into fun. He has a bright personality, and the ability to not only translate the language, but the language in the context of the culture. He doesn't just teach you to speak Japanese, but how to be Japanese!
Talking to Masaki you would never know that English was not one of his native languages... I'm still shocked that he didn't begin learning until he was already an adult!
If you are wanting to learn Japanese, or if you are Japanese and you want to become as a native English speaker, you have found your guy!

It's hard to believe Masaki could become so fluent at a second language when he only started learning at the age of 18. It makes him a great teacher for adults because he himself started a second language as an adult.
His teaching style is so fun and so tailored to each student I highly recommend him as a language teacher, both in Japanese and English!
Hello my future students! I am a Japanese native speaker who is passionate helping the learners brushing up their Japanese skills. I listen carefully to my students’ needs and I create fun and positive learning process.

You can enrich your Japanese-learning experience by also learning about Japanese history and culture. Japan is a country that's rich in history and traditions. It was first established as a united state around 300 AD, although people had resided on the cluster of islands since 10,000 BC.
Over time, Japan has adopted numerous holidays and festivals. Some of these traditions were borrowed from other cultures, but Japanese people made these holidays distinctly Japanese.
